  • 3rd Bass needs to come back with a reunion album- get Sam Sever, Prince Paul back as producers, also throw in DJ Premier.. Serch, Pete, come back and give the fans one more LP!!

  • I was jammin this religiously in 89'....

  • Gary Wright. "Love is Alive". I think its a 70's track.

  • Where is that guitar riff from in the beginning and throughout? Where is it sampled from?

  • @DohaRoha Gary Wright. "Love is Alive. I think its a 70's track.

  • God I love this album.

  • Fuck new school

  • All these years later and this jam is still killin it!!!

  • I don't usually go for nigger music, but this isn't bad!

  • Damn i just got introduce to 3rd Bass by accident. Dope!!! I hate new hip hop ( hip pop)! Is so wack. Now i just keep it ol' school.

  • AHH YES ! great Gary wright Sample... been awile..thanx for posting this.

  • Thanks for posting.

  • back to the good rap days

  • they boosted this record and they looped it and they looped it...and Serch is dancing around just like he's Janet Jackson

  • AMEN! lol. great lyrics and not to mention one of the best Samples of all time!!!! Amen Brother- The Winstons. never get credited for this 6 second drum loop, smh.

  • Top of the morning to ya !

  • Anyone know the sample at 1:24? -D.

  • @unknownkemist That's Steely Dan -- "Everyone's Gone to the Movies"

  • most under-rated rap track ever

  • This reminds me of School, Graffiti and Troop trainers hahaha!

  • Prepared raps.

    Pete Nice will destroy Eminem.

  • Great album, this by far the best track. SAM SEVER!!!!!

  • Eminem wishes he had this much swag.

  • Fuckin` Pete Nice!!

  • dopest track on the ablum..fuckin raw

  • whatever happened to 3rd base? did they quit?

  • 3rd Bass perfected the sampling technique with Wordz Of Wizdom. I'm a big fan of 70's music including Gary Wright's music. 3rd Bass sampled two of his songs perfectly with W.O.W. especially the Dream Weaver sampling beginning at 2:48. I remember hearing W.O.W. for the 1st time when I was 19 and when it came to the 2:48 part I was like "Oh sh*t!" Any Hip Hop group like 3rd Bass that can sample old songs and make me feel like I'm hearing them for the 1st time are just genius in my book.

  • From there originally, mate. You?

  • is that JFK at the start?

  • @superstrut75 Yes that is JFK.

  • to compare em with pete is like comparing white bread, pete had his way and em has his, both unique in there own way

  • Second Pete Nice verse is one the ATGs

  • I bought this cassette in Alaska, Dec 1989 and bumped the whole album from NC to Utah driving cross country when I was in the Air Force. This to me will always be THE defining track by 3RD BASS...

  • Is that a bit of Wrighty's "Dream Weaver" I hear at the end as well?

  • One of the greatest joints never airplayed! This is what hip-hop should blueprint instead of that garbage radio stations are playing now.Tell your radio stations to stop feeding you that bullshit or you'll go elsewhere. You have a voice....use it.

  • Great sample of Gary Wright's "Love is Alive."

  • @superbarnsley Man you get style points for knowing the sample.I'll bet over half these guys are clueless where that sample came from.

  • @superbarnsley great sample knowledge. well impressed mate. you in Barnsley England?

  • "Hard as Chinese arithmatic."

  • Kennedy's words at the start just, amp me up for some reason and the groove keeps you there. Nice work boys.

  • Eminem wishes he had Pete's swagger, delivery, stage presence, voice, and walking cane:)

  • Yea man, it's weird, how Pete hardly did anything on stage and video except rap, hardly any movement but his limp, it was like he didn't need to convince himself he was fly.

  • The second Pete Nice verse is one of the phattest ever spit.

  • great song ... made using the amen beat ;)

  • This is by far the greatest 3rd bass song ever made...

  • ditto.

  • Fukin A man

  • @punksntded1 Agreed. The best track on perhaps the most underrated album from the golden age of hip-hop. There are a lot of downright gems to be found on The Catcus Album. It was a cassette that got worn down to nothin from too much time in the tape deck of my crappy Oldsmobile when I was a teenager.

  • @punksntded1

these shite "hip hop" bands of today want to listen to this and understand beat and BIG HARD BASS
