  • great video! whoever did this, great job!

some people just make this world a little better, your one of them.

  • hghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh SALT LAKE CITY. "PARK PLACE '""" MY APARMENT """"""""""" 300 e 800s tttttttttttttttttttttttttttttthhhhhhhhhhhhhdddddddddddddddddddddbb

  • The golden angel on top of the temple is called Moroni, and he did NOT blow down the wlls of Jericho. And the seagull is the state bird, because it ate all the crickets, locusts ad grasshoppers that imperilled the pioneers crops.

  • @bloodshye1 So whose walls did Moroni blow down; was it Fort Douglas?

That must have been one scary big seagull.

  • @bloodshye1 Really? Well if it wasn't Jericho, what walls did he blow down? Was it Ivins?

  • I miss Utah

  • @isaiahlive I recently moved back to Utah... I miss Santa Cruz!!!

  • Hahaha. That's a cool video. Thanks.

  • Same people, Same way of thinking, Same Ideas, Same way of talking, Same way of Dating, Same way of wearing clothes, Same social Background, Same way of staring at people (Specialy when you're not from Utah) , Same smiling, Same behavior= SUPER BORING!!!! People from Utah need more diversity so they can get out of the Box and Understand the true meaning of GLOBALIZATION. 99% Of people from Utah are socially and Culturally in the Box.

  • @salazomuanakin Did you know that Utah has more people who speak more languages and have spent time in more countries per capita than most other states in the United States? One university teaches the following languages; how many does your school offer?

Afrikaans, Akan, Albanian, American Indian, Arabic, Armenian, Aymara, Basque, Bicolano, Bulgarian, Burmese, Cakchiquel, Cambodian, Cantonese, Catalan, Cebuano, Croation, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Fijian, Finnish, (cont'd)

  • @salazomuanakin ... It reminds me of the joke "What's the difference between Salt Lake City and yogurt? ....yogurt has a little culture in it."

  • @ToolFan68 ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha... thanks for this joke!!! Now It's my joke!!!

  • @salazomuanakin While that may be true for some Utahns not all Utah people are like that just so you know so FUCK YOU!!! have a nice day :)

  • This had potential... but this sucks

  • Salt Lake is such a rad city! Especially if you love to snowboard or ski!

  • There's really not much too see in Salt Lake. Just... Mormon churches..

  • There is not much to see

  • I looked up salt lake city because Theophilus London said it was one of the most amazing city in the US in an interview, Hmmmm

  • @TJherbertos he was probably being sarcastic.

  • lovin the sterotype

  • I live in salt lake city. I think this video is funny. You completely butchered the history. I wonder how many idiots will actually believe you.

  • @Telepian LOL! That was awesome... you showed him. If anybody would be an expert at butchering history, it would be a mormon.

  • que porcaria, muito mal feito... eca...

  • Is this Portugese for "That sucks, badly done"?

  • @TaxidermyGuy Yeah, and I'm pretty sure he even says very bad, badly done. Haha, I found it funny and nice. I liked that it started in the airport, where I'm going to arrive. haha - it took 40 years and 40 nights lol.

  • Did anyone ever mention to you that this is a bit racist?

  • @iStageMom That's something a racist would ask...

  • Hey! Eyes on the road, buddy.

  • this put me to sleep

  • What a great idea!! 5/5

  • Absolutely genius. I love the way you butchered the histories. I was thoroughly entertaining. :D

  • keep your eyes on the road!!

    we'r gonna crash!!!

  • Salt Lake City is da coolest !!

  • i couldnt live any where else

  • Say what you want, salt lake city is actually a major hub for the entertainment industry. A lot goes on around here. Hell, If you'd like you could even be chased through the woods by a paramilitary sheriff unit!

  • Yeah, there's nothing here in Salt Lake, but I like living here. I grew up here and I think a great place to live. Much better than New York!

    Nice Video! Thanks for post

    5/5*

  • Salt Lake is a boring, sprawling suburbia.. miles upon miles of nothing but neighborhoods that all look the same, people who all look the same, SUV's & Hummers that all look the same, Dotted by Strip Malls with boring Chain Stores and reasurants.. it's a city with nothing interesting, no real culture, fast food junkies, soccer moms and dead downtown.. SLC is the epitome of lame.

  • You must have had your eyes closed when you passed the nice hotels. I did see a Hummer once that looked like a chocolate lab, but that must have been in Las Vegas now that I think about it. You're right: all the Hummers in Salt Lake look pretty much the same.

  • Oh, and haven't you already dissed on Salt Lake a few other times via this video over the past few months? If you hate SLC so much, why do you keep coming back to this video?

  • You just said I was right.. so why do you keep coming back to argue with me.

  • hahahahahahaa

  • @pavilionking06 let me guess. you are either from Utah or California. haha i've been to and lived in a lot of places around the world man and Utah/SLC isn't thaaat bad. ^^

  • @pavilionking06 dude shut the f**ck up, SLC, is not that bad i have lived there

  • @pavilionking06 Alright ranger dildo, you diss SLC so much, says that you have never set foot in Utah, you just assume it's lame.

You don't know Jack about SLC

  • @pavilionking06 This description would probably fit into any north-american city besides Quebec C, NYC, Boston or SF. Says a person who never have been in that part of the world ((just watching YT-videos)) I have visited a couple of scandinavian cities, many of them have sprawling suburbia, fast food restaurants and neighbourhoods that look all the same. Nowadays people tend to go shopping in the malls outside of the city centres, where it's easier to park.

  • @pavilionking06 have you been to sugar house or 9th and 9th? maybe youre talking about sandy...

  • salt lake is far from lame...this vid of the city is what's lame

  • DUDE EYES ON THE ROAD!!!!

cute puppet .....I want to move there from New Zealand, it looks beautiful from all the pictures i have seen.

    Thanks for the Vid.

  • u want to move to utah from new zeland u r crazy we have tons of gangs here id rather live new zealend

  • well im living in Australia atm but SLC looks soo Beautiful are the gangs really bad there? or do they keep to themselves :p

  • Gangs are not that bad, its just like any other city.

  • New Zealand has more gangs than Salt Lake... i got family there..

  • @owlpaw8 LOL SLC does not have 'tons of gangs'. I'm from San Jose, lived there thirteen years, now lived in Utah for five. Utah doesn't have shit for gangs.

  • OMG that is like the gettos hotel on State Street LOL

  • People comparing slc to other states are pretty much retards. It is completely different then anywhere I have been and I miss it very, very much. And the new construction and expansion of the city is making it look very clean and impressive.

Sugar House in salt lake is by far the coolest place I have been in any city I have visited. The skiing really is the best, the mountains are huge and close to the city and makes it look beautiful, and I happen to love the night life.

  • hey, some mormon girls know how to have fun...

  • watch where u goin'...

  • slc is boring

  • I agree. Skiing, boating, hiking, fishing, camping, deserts, alpine meadows, granite peaks, mountain biking, white-water rafting, autumn leaves, slick rock, 5 national parks, temples, cathedrals, synagogues, quiet neighborhoods, rough neighborhoods, symphonies, playhouses, gangs, shootings, strip joints, nightclubs, rock collecting, marathons, fishing, snow, sun, monks, cheese, copper mines, freeways, lonely roads, dirt roads, Shakespeare festivals ...all this stuff is just so boring.

  • boating is when your 50 hiking what fun camping overrated why you got a house.why do u want to bike in a mountain the temples are fake the gangs are from la and tonga the playhouses are grade c, rock collecting psss, fishing boring, a lonely road lets die out there,a dirt road wow,you know what the national food is in utah green jello, as far as your beer 3.2. the city shuts down at 8 pm and if your out walking around you get questioned. boring

  • Well put. Thank you for your intelligent comments.

  • well make the best of the situation the vid is good though

  • I agree my parents moved to SLC about a year ago for work and when I visited I almost died of boredom.. The people are all robotic controlled by the LDS church, your in the middle of nowhere, the "nightlife" is the lamest I have ever witnessed, and the long commutes, smog filled air, strip-mall style downtown is nothing exciting.. But hey! they do have a ridiculously opulent temple that only the old business men can enter! Yahoo!

  • I respect your opinions, but check your facts, such as who can enter temples. In 2005, 41% of Utahns were church-going Mormons. Even if their trying to live church prinicples makes them robots, that still leaves almost 60% of the state who I assume are more like you. Commutes are too long, the air is too smoggy, and there are too many strip malls. Reminds me of when we lived in California, only shorter, cleaner, and not as many. Do I sound defensive? I guess I like it here as much as you don't.

  • I feel you exactly. SLC is home to the nations biggest pacific islander community only behind hawaii. I like it. when i moved here from cali i thought it was so gay til i moved to west valley. reminds me of home

  • you can buy drugs at that hotel

  • Yeah.... SLC is pretty lame.

  • The driver must be from the southern end of State street (Mexico). Of course, people made fun of my neighborhhod too-120 south 300 east. Me and 600 other folks were evacuated there after hurricane Katrina. I returned to New Orleans just two months ago. SLC is a really nice place to raise a family or recover from a natural disaster.

  • Is this driver mormon??

  • That's a good question. He's certainly well informed about Mormon history and the Salt Lake City area.

  • thank you very much for the tour.

  • that's funny...i've stayed at that motel before and it's pretty seedy...

  • lmao im watchin SLC punk and for some reason searched lake city lool

  • LMFAO. The Capitol Hotel on State Street? If you want hookers or meth. LOL.

  • AHahahaha Hahahahahaaaaaa JohnRhys just totally bagged on himself! AHahahahahaa... Great video! I just woke The Wasatch Front up with my laughter! ;) The end was the best and then I noticed the comment below mine. hehe Thank You for sharing!

  • What do you mean?

  • I have been to California several times, never seemed as dirty as SLC. At least in California they have the BART, SLC has no concept of mass transit other than a very limited TRAX system and limited bus routes making it seem much worse.

  • This video is not very good. You didn't show much except the areas everyone knows already.

  • ....you goofy thing! The Angel Moroni with his trumpet, has nothing to do with the walls of Jerico! Hay,I have a good opening line you could use..."Hello,I will be your driver...I can't drive well but,I can drive REAL FAST!"

  • Very Cute Video A+

  • This video rocks! Now I'm all nostalgic for SLC. Thanks! Love the puppet -- he's so damn cool.

  • What the hell show Downtown, Murray, Holladay, and Draper too! What about Park City?

  • dont forget sandy!

  • lol i ski at brighton! im on the ski team there.

  • Temple square because the temple is square hahahahahahahahahha loved it

  • Do some more cities.

  • Cute video...lyra LDS. Funny to. Thanks. SLC looked quiet. Not like I have seen it many times. How did you film on such a quiet and lonely day?

  • just to let u know. i have been all around the country and we are just as modern as u. were not amish:)

  • wow this is just great!! i wanna go to Utah so bad!!!! =( nice video tho, really funny hehe

  • So funny!!!

  • This is the funniest stuff. Those damn Eagles!

  • maravilhoso minhas recordações

  • very nice video!.. But.. please wear the safety belt!!

  • 04Pete, give me your email address and I'll send you a version of the video that explains the jokes a little more slowly.

  • I live in Connecticut

  • I live in Utah and had to laugh. When I moved here, I thought cool, State Street will take me from the top to the bottom of Utah, well not quite, but to Mexico! Cool!!!

  • XD hahaha wow, that was uhm...odd.

  • that was nice! keep your eyes on the road!

  • Pulling into a ghetto motel on North Temple! Brilliant!

  • I enjoyed this alot. I moved to SLC 8 years ago and I love it here.(from NY and LA)

    very cool

    jamie

    jamieglaser(dot)com

  • Has anyone watching this ever work at packard bell around 94/96 ?

  • Terrible video. The concept could work if executed properly, but watching 3 hour blocks of Mormon conference is more entertaining than this video.

  • Great, I live in SLC

  • lol you had alot of free time.blew down the walls with his butt trumpet

  • I wonder if anyone's from SLC and actually think this is hiliarious or offensive

  • So, what do y'all think? You don't have to be from SLC to have an opinion.

  • I am from Salt Lake City. I don't find it to be very offensive. The one thing I will say is that when he drives past Temple Square and states stuff about it, it is horribly innacurate. But if you have a sense of humor, you will probably understand that.

  • This RACIST!! on so man Levels.

  • Racism is discrimination or antagonism based on the belief that all members of a race have characteristics or abilities that make it inferior or superior. David Letterman jokes about the lack of English language skills among NY taxi drivers. There are many ESL taxi drivers in the U.S. Is this racist? There is nothing in the video that implies inferiority or superiority. In fact, nothing in the video is factual. How boring would life be if the only characters in silly videos were white males?

  • Thx for the video, and reading the comments about the motel, it's hilarious, lol I'm 2% considering a job in Salt Lake City but for sure am gonna visit it one day, Grazie

  • Ha, ha that's funny, I think i'm going to try that tomarrow State st. to Mexico I've always wondered what there was south of Salt Lake.

  • lol how he can drive without looking to the road ..? its kinda fake hah? lol .. i like his hate !! sexy

  • this is funny..and ur talented u can drive without ur eyes on the road...i think i should try that someday..lol...this is a funny vid

  • Yeah "Finest Motel in the City" and its the capitol. Worst Drug motel in the city. LOL

  • thank you! next year i will go for one year to salt lake city...thanks for having some impressions of your town!

  • I lived there most of my life. I moved to Indiana in 1998, so I appreciate the refresher. I have driven on State Street to Mexico and we had our high school junior prom at that very hotel. Thank you for your excellent tour!!!

  • Thanks so Much

  • The Capital Motel is a prostitute/drug motel. That is effin hilarious!

  • Hahaha, that was funny!!! Is this on Sesame Street?

  • state street straight to mexico?? i thought that was 900 west! funny vid!

  • was funny!

  • state street to mexico.. got it.. thanks

  • Man that's funny! And those pesky eagles being killed by the seagulls. Sad but that's nature's way. You rock.

  • "If you follow State Street it will take you straight to Mexico" very funny, most of it is fake, like the motel, but really funny!

  • that was gay. i live in utah.. and thats not one of the finest hotels..

thats like the crappiest.. here.. we have better

  • Its perfect! I will work near atlantic city this summer so i know where im going :-) Thanx

  • its anoying

  • I'm sure you meant: It's annoying. Thanks for your opinion.

  • "where are you from--from around here or another country?" this is hilarious and genius.

  • Ahahahahaha!!! How great! The golden angel used his trumpet to blow down the walls of Jericho! LOL!!! Hey! You dropped me off at that hotel in the bad part of town! Oh well, it's OK because I haven't been to Salt Lake (my home town) in 6 years. It was great to go back! Thanks!

  • Very original and cool! Like a politically-incorrect version of Kermit the Frog!

  • You have done a funny and interesting taxi tour in Salt Lake City! :)

  • Ha! Sweet, thanks!

  • This is GREAT!! Thanks for the Magic Carpet tour of Salt Lake City, TaxidermyGuy!!
