The biggest blunder in this whole debacle is that the students really do have a say in how the university is run. They CHOOSE to attend NYU. If you don't like the way this university spends your money, refuses to disclose their books, and ignores student senate votes then attend another university. When their enrollment drops, they'll have to reconsider the way they do business.

Isn't a university a supplier of education, they supply you with a service, i dont really get why students would think that they should get a say in how things are run.  By all means, it would be good... but its not wrong that they arent given any say.

The problem with this whole occupation is it's NOT democratic which is what this group claims to uphold. Private companies have the RIGHT to run their business however they choose. The occupation was an effort to FORCE a private organization to run their business a certain way, and that's not democracy, that's fascism.
