• green day coming washington dc on aug 11 2010

• I would've done anything to be at one of those concerts :P

• really good video. the songs a given but this is a good video

• I fucking hate greenday but god damn dookie is a blessing

• It's a good album, but nimrod would be my personal favourite. And dude, what's with the hate? Even if you don't like something, there's no need for hate, peace brother! :D

• @ega0006 AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA SIMPLE PLAN AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

• @ega0006 Simple Plan can smd?

• @ega0006 dude simple plan and gc were influenced my green day

• @ega0006 Green Day's been around longer than simple plan and good charloette. They we're both influenced by Green Day. Also, good charloette and simple plan are both pop punk. Green Day is punk rock. Theres a difference.

• @WizardTaco123 green day is pop punk there my favorite band well one of them im sure there arent punk rock listen to nofx bad religion those are punk rock bands

• @richardg136 I don't know what you're talking about, Green Day is punk. But if you don't think they are, that doesn't mean they aren't.

• @richardg136 eh, nofx is questionable. If Green Day is too poppy to be punk, I think NOFX is just over the line.

• @JustynKiddo thats teh thing these day no one can really define punk in a specific way but in generall its about wat u think is wrong with society and stuff

• @JustynKiddo poppy? fucking bullshit punk is a sound but mostly the lyrics and a style of life green day are very much punk

• guys..i undestand u do like a top of the albums..well i won't do one...green day i my favorite band..and it will always remain..i don't have a top o the albums...because all the albums are like extraordinari...i can't make a top...i mean they evolued...but every single song from them sounds incredible...i like how they evolued...but sometimes it's nice to hear the firsst album...how they began...in the first album it sound very live...even if it's a studio...great song...great live ..GD for ever

• you cant spell and green day was good when i was a kid in the early 90's they have evolved all right into a bunch of pussy emo fags like the rest of the music world

• @meyerd11 to quote the great Homer Simpson : "I havn't changed since i was a kid, so why arn't i still cool now?". btw if u want pussy emo fags go listen to simple plan

• first of all 21st century breakdown sucks. call me a green day snob but dookie is and always will be the best green day album ever. and I think peopledont appreciate how food warning was it had a lot of the unsung stuff

• I see what you mean, to me as a Green Day fan, I see these 2 eras like different bands in a way but I think they just needed to grow up and make more ambitious music they would have probably faded away after Warning so Im glad they did AI.

• That's what a lot of people say you know. It doesn't exactly sepearte you from the herd because you like dookie ? i'm getting sick and tired of seeing people like you all over these videos, we get it you don't like there new stuff, that's OK,but why don't you try and Channel all the negativity away from your computer friend, do something constructive instead :D

You all probably think im not a real green day fan because i like th new stuff better than kerplunk. its mostly because they adapted to be more mainstrem if you will. and made me like it.... green day are my fAVOURITE BAND... if i could, they'd all be at number 1... I SAW THEM ON MONDAY AHHHHHHHHHHH :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

• Insominac defentily shouldnt be in 8 it should be first or second in my opinon

• I@ADNTMusic t's ok. Aside from a couple of really good songs, it really doesn't stand out for me. Your entitled to your opinion though :D

• Yah Its not the best album just my favorite

• Fair enough :D

• I kind of agree, insomniac was kind of meh. I agree with your list, but i'd probably rearange the the top three to be nimrod, dookie then 21st century breakdown. That live show is totally awesome, isn't it? i saw it two weeks ago :D

• Mine is

1. Insomniac

2. Kerplunk!

• gosh billie is fat there.

• i'd hate to be one of the guards in the front being at an insane concert and not being aloud to rock out

• dookie, warning, and nimrod are there classics

• my comment was for vault music 105

• in my opinion the best Green Day's album is Insomniac

• Dude, i thought i was the only one on earth that thought that.

• the intro to Panic Song seals the deal

• they look so young in this video. they really are the greatest band.

• I'm not fussed if they have changed or not, cos tbh, if i like a song ,then i like a song :P :)

• not saying there shit now because i quite like there new song but this stuff was just so so so much better.

• yeah ur right

• i agree but disagree. it was a great album but did stray. but at the same time you cant get mad at someone for having new ideas. i think what people dont understand is that they may be rock stars but there sill people and people progress and change. but i love them because they're great musicians. and i support whatever they choose to do, because its they're career.

• Honestly I think american idiot is their best album. I mean the lyrics were deep, they went the extra 50 miles with that album. I agree with you, I support how they progress :D

• every album is great....many none green day fans choose to hate on american idiot just because american idiot is too main stream

• American Idiot was cool but the lyrics are what I didnt like about it.

Listen to the lyrics in Kerplunk, and Dookie those are deep lyrics especially Kerplunk. I like all of their albums, I just dont really like the lyrics in American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown. I dont like the lyrics but its his lyrics not mine, hes a muscian he can write whatever he wants to write about. Anywasys Green Day is one of my favorite bands and their still amazing. Dookie probally is my favorite.

• I completely disagree with you, but I respect your opinion none the less. I though american idiot was more meaningful then anything else they've done. But I love all their stuff none the less :D:D

• I respect your opinion becuase it is meaningful but Im going to have to be honest, I really dont care about what he is writing about in their two newest albums. Im glad hes writing about something that he cares about becuase you should bring Your soul into your music, thats what he does. But really its just the same old thing, his lyrics are about- hating war, what politicians are doing wrong and how much he hates the modern world. I am not a politician, Im a musician. Music is what I care for.

• Amen brotha!!!

• i dunno but is it juss me or dus it seem like the lyrics in the last 2 albums r so focused on being epic that the meaning is too hard to find? its probly juss cuz im stupid, but lyrically i like the old shit better cuz it was deep but it wasnt over the top in wordplay...actually overall i like the old shit better, but i cant say that the new shit sux cuz it dusnt, its actually still really good.

• Yeah I agree wit you, the new stuff dosent suck but I like the old lyrics much better. I like the old sound better but the sound is good too. But then again if you really think about it every single one of their albums was different. But actually the meaning is easier to find in the new ones than the old ones but thats just my opinion.

• See, I can relate more to Kerplunk and Dookie, so I understand what you're saying. But, I think the thought and poetic skill in 21st Century Breakdown is by far greater than anything they've done. I think lyrically and musically 21st Century Breakdown is the best, then Warning. I agree with you about American Idiot though...it is a little bit cliche'

• I dont think 21st century breakdown is the best but musically its really good. But I dont like the lyrics. I can relate to Dookie and Kerplunk alot too and not only do I love the lyrics on those albums but musically its just so amazing to me. Im not saying its that talented but I just love their beats in their older albums. The order I would rank their albums would be:

1.Dookie

2.Kerplunk

3.Nimrod

4.Insomniac

5.Warning

6.39/smooth

7.21st Century Breakdown

8.American Idiot

• Yea, Dookie and Kerplunk are definately they're best from the 90s...my order would be: 1.21st Century Breakdown 2.Kerplunk 3.Dookie 4.Shenanigans 5.Warning 6.Insomniac 7.American idiot 8.Nimrod 9.39/Smooth 10.International Superhits
• I agree except American Idiot should switch with 21st Century Breakdown otherwise perfect list

• but i think american idiot should be one of the top. they're bringing opera rock back since the who.

• American Idiot was a good album, just at the time I wrote the list, I hadnt listened to it in a while and I was putting last mainly because of the politics. This is my new order:

1.Nimrod

2.Kerplunk

3.Dookie

4.Warning

5.Insomniac

6.American Idiot

7.39/Smooth

8.21st Century Breakdown

But all of their albums are some of my favorite albums by any band except for 21st Century Breakdown.

• but why dookie no. 3? i think dookie should be no. 1. well up to individual aite! 21st century breakdown is a failure to me. i think. 2 singles? c'mon.. where's the 3rd one?

• like I said I like all those albums so much it was so hard to pick the order but I put dookie third because it was between that or nimrod. Dookie has some of my favorite green day songs: When I Come Around, Basket Case, Sassafras Roots, and longview. I like every single dookie song but nimrod had so many different styles and I have more favorites on nimrod: TIme of your life, Haushinka, Redundant, Hitchin a ride, nice guys finish last, Uptight, Scattered. Dookie pretty much tied with Kerplunk.

• Their going to have more singles off 21st Century Breakdown but they can come out anytime. The first single is usually realesed before the album and then the second one is usually realeased a little bit after. The third one is usually a few month. If you get to a forth and fifth one then its usually realeased about a year later. Ex:

American Idiot- sept. 14- 04

Boulevard of Broken Dreams- Nov 29 04

Holiday- march 28 05

W.M.U.W.S.E- Jun 13 05

American Idiot(the album)- sept. 21 04

• theyll prolly put out more singles

• 1039, is a great album, its got: Only of You, Going to Pasalacqua, At the Libary, and 409 in your coffeemaker those songs are awesome the whole album is awesome. why do u think it should be second to last?

• I thinks its a great album too. I have the album, its amazing. But green day is my second favorite band, I love all of their stuff. Its hard to make a list of amazing albums for your second favorite band. Even 21st century breakdown has amazing songs on it. I love all their albums.

• Vault: What's ur fave band

• My favorite band is the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Green Day is my Second favorite band.

• its gotta be

1.dookie

2.american idiot

3.21st century breakdown

4.warning

5.39.smooth

6.insomniac

7. nimrod

8.kerplunk

just by how well the album went not criticizing the songs

• 1.Kerplunk

2.39/Smooth

3.Dookie

4.Nimrod

5.American Idiot

6.Insomniac

7.Warning

The new album doesnt have any good songs on it at all.

and im not a big fan of warning either.

• I dont really agree with your order that much but everybody has their own opinion. This is my final list because since I wrote the last list Ive grown to like the new album alot. I think the new album is amazing and I love all of their albums. Long Live Green Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1.Dookie 2.Nimrod 3.Kerplunk 4.American Idiot 5.Insomniac 6.Warning 7.21st Century Breakdown 8.Slappy 9.39/Smooth 10.1000 Hours 11.Sweet Children
• Mine is

1. 1,039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours

2. Dookie

3. Nimrod

4. Warning

5. Insomniac

6. 21st Century Breakdown

7. American Idiot

Haven't listened to much Kerplunk yet though.

• Youve got to listen to Kerplunk, if you love dookie, youll love kerplunk. I still kind of agree with my old list but recently Ive grown to love every single one of their songs. All of their albums are amazing and they are absolutley my second favorite band. They are still making amazing music. 1.Dookie 2.Nimrod 3.Kerplunk! 4.American Idiot 5.Insomniac 6.Warning 7.21st Century Breakdown 8.Slappy 9.39/smooth 9.1000 hours 10.Sweet children
• 1. 1039/Smoothed out slappy hours

2. Kerplunk

3. Dookie

4. Warning

5. Insomniac

6. Nimrod

7. 21st Century Breakdown

8. American Idiot

yea thats my list

• prolly shouldn't get involved but fuck it...american idiot was a good album, but it strayed from there style of music. i get that its good to have different kinds of music, but bands should stick with what they are good at. why would you want to make 6 solid albums of the same style of music and build a fan base around that just to switch it up randomly. it doesnt make sense

• what a classic this has to be one of green day's best live peformances ever this is when green day were at their peak hard to beilive this was 9 years ago i miss the old school green day american idiot is shit the worse thing billie joe ever did was learn how to sing, the old school billie joe is a genius

• everything good is always in the 90s right? wrestlin, eveyr shit was good back then

• No one this songs are still the BEST :D

see how 21st Century Breakdown will be....

• i love thi song so much SCREAM AT ME UNTIL MY EARS BLED IM TAKING HEED JUST 4 U!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!=]

• Yeah but who's looking forward to

21st Century Breakdown?

• i did! it's great!!!

• @H0LDENCAULFIELD it ain't that bad of an album

• @H0LDENCAULFIELD that is 1 S*XY album

how come green day is never on those gay countdodwn

they should #1 every week for like5 years

• Um, it was praised by critics and what not but ex fans won't stop bitching about it. Just look on any green day video on youtube, there are about a thousand assholes on everyone bullshitting about how much worse American Idiot was.

• yeah i never heard it but the songs that came out were bullshit. except for american idiot.

• What the hell? Go buy the fucking album you moron.

• i think all green day songs are great. i havent heard one that i think is a bit crap. and its good that bands do songs that are different than others cause then it'd all be the same n would get boring. so it pisses me off when people say 'oh they're not as good as they use to be'. if they dnt liek ti they should go fuck emselves

• american idiot was great!

warning was the album that was a piss stain.

• I never gave it a thought that Billy Joe Is HOT, but I like what I see in this video. I always just assumed he was a big-mouth punk from the Bay Area./ But he is actually kinda cute! Alright!

• april

• how do u know that ?=P

• may 5th

• Green days old stuff is the best.

whens there new album out?

• lol i agree with AXESHREDDER21 it made me laugh.

green day are simply the best i started listenin to them shortly after american idiot came out but i prefer the old stuff it sutes me and my m8s more.

but my all time fav song is the judges daughter.

• best band in the world. ever. pity about american idiot.

• whats so bad about american idiot???

• it wasnt very good

• I've always liked green day's music. It's always been simple, but still upbeat, fast, and just plain fun. And that's what I like about them.

I've been a fan of them since shenanigans and dookie, and everything else. I love their old stuff, and their new stuff isn't as bad either. Their music just got more serious, not necessarily a bad thing... Nothing like it used to be, but it's not as bad as most people say.

• people only say that because they want to act all smart and like a big fan, like they know their old music, so all the newbies who only know the new stuff worship them...thats idiotic, to me, insomniac is the best album, followed by american idiot and 1039 following

• Insomniac is yes definatly their best ever

• i guess we like aggressive music

• man-nimrod is the best.

i agree though- i got into um from AI and people wud slag me dwn. So i reshearched the old stuff...got blown away!

then talke to them and asked um wat they thought....clueless most people who slag american idiot are jumping on the band wagon and trying to act like they know music. in mist cases this aint the case.

buy their albums and see for ur self!- NIMROD! and Dookie

• dookie is the best

• I'm not claiming to be a music expert, but I seriously find American Idiot their best album, and so do many other people

• I agree with you. Just because it's more mature and different from their previous albums doesn't mean it sucks by any means. It was a very well-written album in a time period that needed a band to tell what they are really feeling about what is happening with their country.

• American Idiot was good, the only thing I dislike about it is in comparison to their other work (esp. Dookie) it shows less Creativity. My friend has been playing drums for almost 7 years and he can play everything on American Idiot easy, when he has trouble playing most of the songs of Dookie

• i agree with your friend i can play all the songs off the american idiot album.

• Well yes, American seems pretty easy for covering, but AI focus more on the lyrics/story behind it... The story is great to me, but when i wanna rock out, i pick up any dookie song.

maybe that's why i like St. Jimmy so much...

• :) thanks

• i'm agreed with Lanta666. I think Green Day's old music is the best!

• I still thing green day is good, even if it's post-american idiot.

Gotta get money somehow, right?

Someone's gotta pay the rent. You're not gonna be able to live off of nothing. Good bands should cash in on the music they make. They've earned it, if you ask me.

• good song! w00t green day best band

• this is my favourite song of green day...it rocks!

• i love how people today use emo to describe anything they dont like. guess what kiddies, emo is a genre of music. next thing you know people will be calling the foo fighters and the chili peppers emo

• THESE GUYS CONQUER THE WORLD

• yes.

• totally, greenday rocks

• uuuhhh i didnt mean anything bad

• it isent suppose to be like their old stuff, they wanted to make something new with American Idiot album, they say it themselves, in an interwiev on Bullet in a Bible, they say that they are verry happy with it, that it was a whole new level form them

• why was this marked as spam? he speaks the truth! i, myself, liked American Idiot, but only Jesus Of Suburbia and St. Jimmy. But my hands down favorites are their early albums like Kerplunk, Dookie, or even 39/Smooth. But i agree, Boulevard of Broken Dreams was crap. Doesnt even compare to their early stuff.

• a green day fan, is somebody who loves the band, the hell with the songs, some songs are better than others but anyone is bad, i love GREEN DAY, and i love every person that is in that band,

the only thing that matters is GREEN DAY

• dude i agree 100%

• BONO

• bonos a piece of shit (according to south park) <--lol love that show

• you cant be a true green day fan if you dont like American Idiot! You Have to like EVERY album. Not most of them, apart from the odd one or two, ALL OF THEM!

• AWESOME!! finally someone with a mind.

• =D I hate people who are "biggest fans" when they dont like half of the stuff Green Day have done.

silly people :P

• groopies

• haha you are stupid :P "you arent a true green day fan if you dont stalk them"

• u have to like whatalbums u like..a fan is sum1 who suports them u..they have rough patches we all do...a fan is someone who wud follow them 100%

• Like me, amongst other people, I know what you mean...I just get annoyed with people who say bad stuff about american idiot but still say they are their biggest fans.

• a men lol...greenday rock

• come of it. think about it - a true green day fan dsnt have to like every album green day have put out. a true green day fan wld know wat their music was like right frm the start. im a big green day fan, but im not a fan of american idiot. a couple of their songs such as jesus of surburbia and letterbomb, are good, but for instance the song "american idiot" just shows how political they have become. being a true green day fan is at least knowing most of the stuff they have done.

• GREEN DAY ROCKS!!

THEIR NEW ALBUMS(three at the same time!!) COMING OUT NEXT YEAR HAS A NIMROD/DOOKIE FEEL TO THEM. SO DONT COUNT OUT GREEN DAY YOU GUYS!!!!THEY SHALL ALWAYS ROCK!!!!!

• how do u know?

• around wat month?

• i love greenday! lol they kick like so much butt! but like why didnt they play any of theyre gud songs like bulevard of broken dreams?

• cuz this concert they played was in like 2000... 4 years before american idiot...-_-

• i love greenday! lol they kick like so much butt! but like why didnt they play one of theyre gud songs like bulevard of broken dreams?

• they were, they are and they will always be the greatest band in this fucking world

love Green Day

• I still like them

• what is that yellow glowing thing in the top of the screen at 00:39 ?

• LOT better than today's emoshit!

• u guys that say that you dont like thair new music but like their old are so not green day true fans... cuz c'mon how can you be a fan if you dont like all their music?? btw all their songs are great =]]

• finally someone that sees "being a fan" the same way i do.

• this IS there old music rg37

• I don't think that they necessarily have to stay snotty and young, but it would have been awesome if they hadn't turned over to pop-punk/emo like they have now. I'm not saying that they aren't talented because I still like green day, but I don't feel the same love for them now like i used to. If many other punk bands have stayed punk over the years and still are like Bad Religion and Pennywise, why can't they? I miss the old blonde haired and crazy billie and the jump-around hyper mike.

• green day was already pop punk to a degree (with some actual punk too of course)

• i love youuuuuuuuuu *

.. Like You No One Ever ..

• this aint boring shit! this is she of fucken dookie! dont fucken diss this band! its nw they suck!

• cool, so what the f*** is your problem.

GREEN DAY FOR EVER

• i respect your opinion, but its pretty stupid to expect green day to stay snotty young punks forever

• i agree.

• so does mike

• Billie sounds drunk lol ;)

• Greeeat!!

• green day belongs on stage.

my bofriend told me this song reminds him of me.

7hearts;
