Hey the man in the green shorts , are you left footed ? Av recently started Thai and I am left footed and right handed and am finding it very uncomfortable to find a decent stance , I feel most comfortable in a orthodox like , but I do t know it's a bit weird any advice
Most likely, knowing both these guys, the sweep at 1:15 was probably in response to this one @ 0:59. Both Danny and Red are great guys to train with, take it seriously and as hard as they bang and work, there's a ton of respect between them. I miss these days.
@FUSSYMUAYTHAI its not supposed to be authentic mt and dutch style is more effective than thai style in the majority of fights where these guys fought which werent full rules.
It's most likely that either of these guys each have the "hand speed" to light you or the average "boxer" up with their slow muah-thai hands. Their working legs and have probably already been at it for a while. Each of these guys hands are just fine...don't you worry...
Damn I wished I can fight like the Mongoose. Rick is probably the first one to successfully incorporate both Muay Thai and western boxing. It seems like Danny's been sparring the entire day on this video and Rick just freshly got in the ring. Mad respect for both.

this is sparring? what, like 100% sparring?
TheTramsen 1 month ago
@TheTramsen yeah, sometimes you go really light for technique and sometimes you go hard for stamina etc..
hondaonly 1 month ago
@hondaonly no I meant like 100% force, these shots to the body must have felt the rest of the week, and imo that's not the point of sparring.

i hate people who spar to heavy... specially when there not as good as you.. and you have to restrain yourself from smashing shit out of them..

I wouldn't judge an entire sport off of one sparring video. lol

Yea, "muay thai" guys are flegmatics. Join the muay thai gym, and show the world how is it done, mr "fast-hands" boxer =) can't wait to see you in k1

MASATO has seriously fast hands.
But he is a kick-boxer not a nak muay.
Kraus and Zambidis had fast hands too back in their primes.
Thai fighters tend not to have great/ fast hands as the stance is wrong for it and it doesn't score highly under thai rules.
Kicks (long range) and knees/ elbows (really short range from the clinch) score a lot higher.

Danny had tough rounds of sparring before and was tires that day as well.
