Lesley Gore, my first crush as a little boy watching her perform at, I guess it was, Palisades Amusement Park. Hey, I didn't know...and neither did anyone else, for she couldn't exactly tell people in 1964 and still have a career. I trust she has found happiness in her life not having to put on an act any more.

I met Lesley several years ago....she's real sweetheart. Her old shows were great, very energetic. Her songs will last as long as people experience / worship / treasure things like youth, first loves, breakups, heartaches..

The 1964 original is my favourite Lesley Gore song. I usually dislike remakes like this intensely, but it's actually not half bad, although it can't measure up to the first one. I didn't even know it existed. Thanks for posting!

This is my favorite Lesley Gore song and always has been. I don't know why she ever felt the need to re-record it...the original version is PERFECT and this one just doesn't have "it" . I also think they dropped the key to accommodate her older voice.

Some people mentioned not being able to find the original of this song on youtube. I have it on my hard drive (audio/stereo only, no video) and I'd be glad to email it to you if you wish. You may already have it but I'm just assuming you don't because you've not made a video yet. Thanks, the problem with not having some of her songs up on youtube consists of copyright problems with companies that produce her songs. Recently, I guess some of them are squeaking by and I plan to squeak some more..thanks for your compliment.

It surprised me when I read that she hasn't ...yet...been a part of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I honestly thought she was...it is well, a 'no brainer'! Maybe her fans need to write/call the 'Hall of Fame' and ask WHY NOT? Of all of those already there, she should have been right at the top! I wanted to take a moment to Thank You for this wonderful music library of Ms. Gore's. I am 56 and have to admit, when I think of 60's music, she is the ONLY female singer I favor. There were others, but, sad to say, their names escape me. Ms. Gore has managed to bridge the gap of styles with her music and we are very lucky she has been able to do that. I have friends in NYC and have HOPE of one day being able to see Ms. Gore in concert there when I have a chance to visit. Thank You again.

the original is still tops. but Nice to know she like it enough to re record it. its fresh to hear the Original singer change it up a little..certain notes on original are held out Longer on the remake and i love it. note how she drags out dooorr and thats the way boys areeeee oh I love of himmmmm..as the song ends
