  • sephiroth vs kefka? hmm.. kefka destroyed the world sephiroth came close, someone who came close cant possibly match the power of someone who already did. And thats the fact, Kefka wins

  • Great score! However i was anticipating the slow climax......

  • Legendaaaaaaaa-wait for it-ryyyyyyyyy !!

  • This doesn't sound anything like it.

    Epic fail.

  • @Ninjadude973 Listen to them again. You can easily pick out each section...

  • i think kefka and ultimecia vs garland and ex death would be the fight to watch

  • Forget Sephiroth vs Kefka, Orphan vs Kefka is where it's at!

  • @TehSpeedLight

    No it's Garland vs. Kefka

  • at 0:25 it sounds like One winged angel no offense but when it really begins...HOO YEAH! KEFKA THE ETERNAL KING!

  • No doubt this was indescribably awesome. Yet, I know I'm not the only who who was hoping for a more recognizable version of the fourth part of Dancing Mad. My personal verdict of the entire set: 9/10 Mainly because of the first two parts were so damn impressive and moving.

  • i wasn't able to click on the comment box because my mouse is broken from raping the replay button.. (TAB BUTTON FTW! >:O)

  • La meilleure partie de Dancing Mad

  • @linkev48 i personally prefer the first movement rather than the last movement.

  • @JuanDVene it's a matter of taste, but i admit that the first part is good

  • @linkev48 btw was that french you were speaking?

  • @JuanDVene Je suis français, but i've spoken english to be understood by you

  • @linkev48 oh well thank you but i speak Spanish and Italian so its not so hard to understand a few words but thanks.

  • @JuanDVene ah ok^^

  • Why does this sound nothing like Dancing Mad?

  • @gsonic55

Because it's not Dancing Mad. It's Cantata For Dancing which is a collection of Kefka based themes. The song was incorrectly labeled when it was posted. We're currently working on the 4th installment which is based around Kefka's tower theme. I hope that helps. -Derek-

  • @gsonic55 yes it does!

  • I love the interpretation of the last part, and all the parts. The addition of Kefka's theme throughout, and everything about the arrangement is great. I wish they'd do one for The Last Battle (Chaos Battle) from Final Fantasy 1.

  • @Anime6997 It's between the bars I think. It's over rated and under rated at the same time, which is weird.

Personally I prefer IX, and even the creator of the series thinks 9 is his favourite.

He wanted to remake it for the PS2 with voice acting but in the end they moved FFX from the PS1 to the PS2 and continued production.

  • 0:25 ..... thought that was something else for a sec

  • @gotmilk311 lol so did I.

  • @gotmilk311 Like One Winged Angel? I know. I was like, WTF?

  • @gotmilk311 what? i dont hear... Ohhhhhhhh! I have to admit in some parts it does sound a bit like... that other song

  • @gotmilk311 Same here. XD

  • Sorry for the typo. "To" should have definitely been "too."

  • Why is FF7 SO over rated?

I played it and it's actually the LAST on my list of favourite FF games. FF6 and FF9 tie for first place, their stories are far more engaging, meaningful and know how and when to pull your heart strings.

FF7 was the first major FF title to keep its original name during translation and was the first FF game to go 3D but story wise it was boring, dragged out and had too much grinding.

  • @TheRamosOnline Why do you care so much that the majority has a different opinion than you do? VI is overrated to an extent to, as is X, not because it's bad, but because of annoying vocal people like yourself who have a mentality that they can only like one Final Fantasy game.

    /rant.

Also, on an unrelated note, this song is absolutely amazing, but I don't really hear anything from Dancing Mad besides the beginning. It seems more like an orchestrated mix of Kefka's Theme than Dancing Mad.

  • @JudgeMagisterDelita

Like one? No no, I like all of them (Bar 13, THAT DOES NOT EXIST!) but I question why certain ones are so over-rated.

FF7 and FFX are the main ones that are over rated. Both are good, but they're both overrated because they brought something new. FF7 brought 3D, FFX brought voice actors.

They both also made the biggest graphical leaps of the series.

While its fine to have an opinion, some things are fact. A bad movie might be liked by a few people, but its still a bad movie

  • @JudgeMagisterDelita Thank you for saying that about it being mostly kefka's main theme mix, that is exactly what it is.If there were ever to be a remake of FF6 for 3ds,this would make a great song for kefka's main theme.

It sounds really good for a kefka main theme actually.

  • Fitting for a psychotic clown who does not understand the meaning of life.

  • @JuanDVene are you kidding? this scene is based on dante's inferno and kefka plays the role of god, he actually tells you the meaning of life as the fight starts.

  • @garethmanEXE PLAYS THE ROLE OF GOD?!?!?! So God wants to destroy all life as we know it all he created he wants to destroy?

  • @JuanDVene nope, but he says the meaning of life is that life has no meaning and therefore he feels no remorse wiping it out for fun or even for no reason at all.

  • Kefka was before FF7.

So shuddap about the freakin' asymmetrical queer.

He's not supposed to be flying in the first place.

  • 0:25 I expected One Winged Angel to come on. >_>

  • 4:43 sounds like a wicked version of 2001: a space odyssey intro XD

  • kekfa have the best reasons to destroy world, FOR FUN!! MWHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH!!! though i think i have heard that somewhere else before... who cares? Kefka rules

  • I love final bosses in FF. They always make them epic. I don't know what's more awesome, the Kefka battle or the Seraph Sephiroth battle.

  • KEEEEFFFKAAA

    KEEEEEFFFFFFFFKAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

  • Orgasm... now complete.

  • 5:33-6:08 is my favorite part

  • I wanted to officially announce that Jeremy and I are at work on the fourth installment of the Cantata For Dancing. We are both very excited to be working with each other once again and are also excited about this amazing arrangement. At 12+ minutes it will be the longest of the movements. It will also be the highest quality as I've completely upgraded my DAW's and also upgraded to a 64 bit host. We'll keep you posted as we progress.

Thanks again for all your support!

    -Derek-

  • KEFKAAAA... KEFKAAAAAAAA!!!

  • @lermadaniel kicks ass

  • In case Derek or Jeremy comes here... Is there anything to update us on regarding the next part of the Cantata ?

  • @hastifer

Unofficially we are working on the next movement. The composition isn't finished yet but Jeremy's really close. The only aspect I can tell you is that it's going to be centered around Kefka's tower theme.

  • 0:25 sounds like one-winged angel

  • @Omnius15 It's more like One Winged Angel sounds like this.

  • @Armoterra Wrong. The creators of this explicitly stated that they added that part at 0:25 as a joke to make people think that it was OWA. And in either case, this came after OWA anyways (this version, not the original which lacks this part)

  • @JudgeMagisterDelita It's pretty hard to get me to think that from 0:00 to 0:25 was meant to make me think of One Winged Angel when all I could think of was "Catastrophe". You know... The opening tid-bit to FF6?

Aside from the booming chorus, there's no similarity present to OWA.

The hell is wrong with either of you?

  • @Testsubject909 You're looking at the wrong place. Not from 0:00-025, listen to 0:25-0:28 is what we are referring to. It intentionally sounds just like the intro to OWA.

  • @JudgeMagisterDelita Hmm... yeah, I'm getting that part now.

I see, though I imagine it's a suitable replacement, the original piece had the sudden 180 degree turn from classical music to mixture metal and orchestral at that point where everything felt like it was breaking down (much like Kefka's psyche and his godhood).

Whether intentional or not, it's a good placeholder and whether or not it was meant to troll a bit, it leads well into Kefka's theme.

  • @Testsubject909 It's the same note OWA starts with, it's the same sound with the same percussion, it's approximately proportionally spaced the same between each note...it screams OWA!

  • I adore both Kefka and Sephiroth, and Kefka's madness just rocks!

  • 0:25 to 0:30

sounds like the intro to Sephiroth's one winged angel

  • @mewantcool I hear a lot of One Winged Angel in previous Final Fantasy Games. They just put a lot of it together to make the horrible FFVII song.

  • @Noke0

    I'm starting to wonder....

Is there anyone who likes BOTH sephiroth AND kefka? Not me, but I hate people who think that one winged angel is the worst song and sephiroth is the worst bad guy. But I also hate it when people troll kefka on one-winged angel videos. I hate sephiroth, think kefka is awesome, but one winged angel is awesome.

  • @fearsomesnow both are great in their own rights....although kefka in my and many other people's opinion is an under rated villian while sephiroth gets the front page due to his....well emo-ness and shirtless-ness..... but most people also like a villian for the hero they are against....and well terra didn't cut it hero wise for me.....I still prefer kefka far over the momma's boy, and a major reason why is he starts crazy and ends crazy, while sephiroth started normal in SOLDIER and went mad

  • I love this. The choir sounds as if it holds a lot of weight to it, very powerful.

  • BRING ON THE INSANITY, FOO'! MWA HA HA!!!

  • People saying Kefka ripped off the Joker haven't done enough research, Kefka started off no diffrent then any other human under the rule of Ghestal, he did not start off insane and twisted from the beginning. He is the product of a failed magik infusion gone horribly wrong, unlike Celes, it warped his mind. He started wearing those crazy colored clothes and it eventually turned him into an insane homicidal maniac who went on to attain the power of a god.

  • @Atomsk382 Sorry to argue, but even the Joker got turned into what he is in an industrial accident as he fell into a large vat of acidic chemicals that scarred him and colored his hair green. Before that he was just some average shmuck. The accident and disfigurement drove him crazy, he wasn't born that way.

  • @Ingenna It was more than that. He had a very bad day, what with getting fired, his girlfriend and soon-to-be child dying, and getting hunted down by Batman. Kefka's insanity was due to the fact that the first magi experiments messed up his brain.

  • About FF7: Would you not become Emo if you get to know that your whole life and purpose is fake?

    Wether or not, Kefka Rules.

  • Chuck Norris checks under his bed for Kefka...

    So does Bruce Lee.

  • This version makes One Winged Angel sound like a fucking lullaby. This is beyond epic!

  • He looks like an evil Adon in this picture

  • I don't know some people are having the whole Kefka VS Sephiroth thing. JUST LISTEN TO THE DAMN AMAZING MUSIC!

  • justin bieber should be the final boss of final fantasy 16

  • @Nintendomanic

Actually I think it would be better if that cockroach would just buzz off and take his stupid wizardly girlfriend and be destroyed with the power of the Almighty Ones Eternal "Love"(Light of Lightment!!!!!!....... KEFKA LAUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

  • you know what just because i am tired of all these sephiroth and kefka battles exdeath kicks both their asses now what?

  • kids check thier closet for IT. IT checks his closet for kefka palazzo

  • @sephiroth8261 from a wrinkle in time? IT?

  • @TheMegamanlink no from the film actually called IT

  • this scared the shit out of me

  • Fanboys, please; Sephiroth may have stolen from Kefka, but Kefka stole from The Joker. Neither Kefka or Sephiroth are 100% original, and they're just games anyway. It's not like I burned down an orphanage and ate the survivors.

  • @Chupacabrathe2nd

Every clown villain is a Joker ripoff?

  • @RadioactiveCoffee42 I said what I meant and I meant what I said. Nihilism, clown motifs, homicidal mania, and near-constant laughter all fit the mould of the Clown Prince of Crime. THere are loads of villainous clowns that don't meet those criteria, but Kekfa does, ergo, he's a Joker expy. Besides, it's you guys's mistakes for taking it too seriously, even if I failed to recognize that the riffs were recycled into One-WInged Angel rather than the opposite.

  • @Chupacabrathe2nd Point? Sephiroth is an emo-fagg ripoff. Not really sure where you're going with this.

  • @gatchAttk Shut up little boy. There are no original Final Fantasy Villains.

  • @gatchAttk A true FF fan regards all the major villains with reverence. Whether one is stronger than another is irrevalent; they are from different worlds with different rules. Therefore by hating on Sephiroth with a lame insult such as that (pretty sure emos aren't insane and want to destroy the planet) shows how small your pitiful mind is.

And before you bring Dissidia into this, Jecht will kick both their arses. And then feed them to Chaos.

  • @balrog0444 He's still an emo-fagg ripoff. Shit is what it is.

  • @gatchAttk Since he's not an emo or a "fag"...

  • @balrog0444 Since he's both.

  • @gatchAttk in that case... obvious troll is obvious. Get back under your bridge, and preferably stay there.

  • @balrog0444 Obvious emo-fagg ripoff is obvious.

  • @gatchAttk Yeah... I believe this is where I claim victory and walk off into the sunset with the girl. Adieu!

*Walks off into the sunset with a short haired blonde girl and a huge smile on his face, while giving gatchAttk the finger over his shoulder*

  • @gatchAttk Seriously man? You probably never played FF7, even before I played FF7, I didnt hate him or call him an Emo-fag, play the game before complaining ._.

  • @hermitsword I played that game more times than I've fucked your mom with my huge dick.

  • @gatchAttk someone is desperate to satisfy their ego with juvenile attempts at comedy

  • @Skoomaheadmrmush Nah man she was satisfied enough when I fucked her hard.

  • @gatchAttk you're a naive little bug aren't you

  • @Skoomaheadmrmush She loved it btw.

  • @RadioactiveCoffee42 No don't say that. it isnt true.

  • Huh,,, they really took the title to heart, didn't they.

  • Kefka was a frightening villain because he played the role of "completely batshit" well for jRPGs of the time. In fact, the first one I remember who came off as insane. The "sand on my boots scene" set him up as comic relief, which was quickly snapped into dissonance by his psychotic behavior.

It's clear Kefka is crazy. Ruling the world was a goal, but what would he do with it? Maybe a normal villain would destroy the world if they won. But Kefkfa? That would be a best case scenario.

  • Note the allusion to One-WInged Angel at the beginning.

  • @Chupacabrathe2nd Note that you have no fucking idea what you are talking about. ff6 is superior to ff7 and actually dancing mad influenced one winged angel

  • @TheSilverSeraph Shut up, fanboy.

  • @Chupacabrathe2nd i am right and you cannot silence the truth :D

  • @Chupacabrathe2nd I actually thought that was what it was for a second and i was like "oh fuck i have the wrong tune on"

  • @Chupacabrathe2nd It was Dancing Mad that influenced One Winged Angel in a way, my friend, hence you hear that familliar beginning.

  • @Chupacabrathe2nd Surely you meant... 'Note the precursory to One-Winged Angel at the beginning'.

  • @Kirasan333 This is a recomposition, so it's likely a recursive allusion. I know what I said.

  • @Chupacabrathe2nd Face it: All Sephiroth has is Kefka hand-me-downs even most of his 'signature moves' are based off of Kefka.

The God Clown of Magic is just that hard to top.

  • i love the sillyness of the xylophone in the beggining. Very Kefka-like

  • LOL, that wasn't supposed to be a allusion to A 2001 Space Odyssey....

  • holy crap the beginning scared me

  • Kefka was not a hero who failed and became a villain. he was twisted and mad from the start, none of those sympathetic moments except his defeat. His monument of destruction was complete, and he leaves no final words as he accepts his own destruction - a true villain.

  • @Sainare Kefka was no villian, to be, one must be evil. Kefka is a nihilist, Kefka is insane. Right, wrong, morality, it's all bullshit and it's bad for you. There is only destruction!! DESTRUCTION!!! Destruction is what makes life worth living!!!

  • But there must have been something that made him that way. His past forever uknown.

  • @MrScorn Actualy, it turns out that Kefka was the first Magi-tek knight, but the operation wasn't perfected so it rattled his brain. I suppose you could say that Cid made Kefka this way.

  • check out this english project i did ;) ITs found a new way into where and who's name he took... and that he still have power no matter here he goes.... just say his name 3x for the Triads sake (Kefka laugh)

  • This is so fucking EPIC!!! The part at 1:55 was the best part in this piece.

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this music... wait...

  • @GamingIdiot42Neo YOU'RE DOING IT WRO-

...no, nevermind, you're doing it right.

  • @OcaTrilby ; )

  • meh i liked the whole thing until the last part. they totally skipped the whole entire organ cadenza that was probs my favorite part of dancing mad. meh w/e

  • Hmmm..one person here is a real 'Son of a Submariner!'

  • Comment removed

  • Son of a Submariner, this is good.

  • WOW! This piece of music totaly blew me away! Wonderfull.

  • Hooray for The Hut on Fowl's Legs!

  • I agree with Xandersama, there is no need to fight about two great villains. Let them rule the respective game and enjoy the music in here. :)

  • Hmmm @ the Also Sprach Zarathustra bit.

  • @Cloudlesssoul

This piece has like 24 influences from different classical works. Also Sprach Zarathrustra is one of them. Do you hear the Sabre Dance?

  • person that dislike this was probably Sephiroth

  • everything will burn~ ~evil laugh~

  • Can anyone else imagine Kefka doing the can can to his theme?

  • Wait, what is One winged- oh wait never mind. Sorry people!

  • I would not be surprised to find out that Dancing Mad would hold the world record for the longest Final Battle Theme EVER!

  • Sephiroth cannot eve hold a candle to Kefka...Kefka is way more Badass then Sephiroth ever was...

  • @gjinndrake Kefka is more badass, Sephy has more depth... Why compare the two? They're completely different!

  • @SolMasterzzz I'd say that's the opposite. I like both characters, but definetly they tried to make Seph a badass mastermind, while Kefka's story is really deep.

  • @NightmareKage Really, I've never played FFVII, so I only know what I read, but I thought Sephiroth had this huge past in which he was a hero or something, and he tries to destroy the world for his mother Jenova, but Kefka's past is nothing more than a failed experiment, destroying his soul. I've not finished FFVI yet, so I could be wrong about that too, though.

  • @SolMasterzzz Jenova wasn't technically his mother. Hojo took cells from the alien Jenova technology and fashioned them into an embryo. Sephiroth was genetically engineered, basically.

Kefka had a really fucked up childhood. His father was horribly abusive. When he got involved with MagiTek his mind fractured. Excruciating pain and emptiness drove him insane.

Sephiroth just went insane because he spent his whole life being used as a tool for the one thing he hated the most.

  • @VerdantBlue Again bringing up FF7 into an FF6 OST. And incorrect about the birth. This is going to sound gross but everyone should know. Hojo basically raped Lucrecia and they made a child, that child was Seph, while still in the womb hojo performed experiments with the jenova cells while Sephiroth was in his fetus stages. The only human to be born a monster. Though to this day I still have no fucking idea why his mother is ina cave.

  • @SolMasterzzz THANK YOU! That's what I keep saying. I don't get why everytime Kefka is mentioned that Sephiroth is followed afterwards then insulted. That's equivalant to a child yelling at his parents for not being the parents he wanted. Both villains are awesome, Kefka is more symbolic and divine while Sephiroth is more psychotic and uncaring yet calm. Two diff antogonist, no need to compare and insult one or the other. I'm surprised no one dissed vegnagun from X-2.

  • "Life itself is but a dream.... A vision.... Nothing exists but save empty space.... And you.... You are but a thought....."-The Mysterious Stranger

    (Kefka smile of death... Laughter)

  • @SquallLeonHart6 isn't that the line from the mask changing being from that Mark twain T.V show?

  • @nalrashido yes it is, i figured that if Kefka is taking the Joker to a godlike way, his evil European acts of Kafka's nihilism needed some American hatred, Mark Twain's "The Damned Human Race" and i realized their names.. Joker+Kafka="K" after J, "E" after A, "F" before K, "Ka" to Jo-ka-(JPN).. KEFKA (laugh)

i also thought about IT, Kefka seems to have that scary clown side and he's all flesh, not an outside being of thought.. until he obtains "God's" power(Warring Triads, "Holy Trinity" ref)

  • Loved Kefka's main theme reference.

  • Great remix but I do wish he found a way to keep the awesome bass for the final part.

  • actually I like this version.... one winged angel or not... really dramtic ending..

  • I came.

  • @TestaXDizzy

Came to worship Kefka? Then you've come to the right place, child. The Magi Tower has the best view of Kefka's Tower you can survive! Please take a complimentary slave crown and some Ritalin for good measure.

  • the only thing Chuck norris is ever afraid of is Clowns, And Kefka is a the top of his biggest fears.

  • I liked every park up to this one. I just don't enjoy how the main theme has been changed so drastically. It sounds like it's trying to copy One Winged Angel.

  • @deadlypudding One Winged Angel was trying to copy Dancing Mad.

  • @TestaXDizzy I mean this guy's remix is trying to copy One Winged Angel. Whereas the original Dancing Mad did NOT sound like One Winged Angel.

  • @deadlypudding

Yes that is correct. We put that passage at the begining in there to fool people. Kind of like a joke. Get it??

  • @derako1980 If it's meant to be funny, I find no humor in it. It really made me cringe when I heard it. However, I understand that you and your colleague intend on making a final part. Is that correct?

  • @deadlypudding

Yes we do plan on making a final part. It is in the works but no release date has been decided at this time. I'll keep everyone posted. You can also check on my website. Just google "Oren Productions"

    -Derek-

  • @derako1980 Cool, I'll look for it then.

  • @deadlypudding Ah, well, I can definately hear it. But at the same time, I think they hit the nail on the head with this song. The previous two parts to the song sounded "heavenly" in a way, while this would be playing while actually facing Kefka. I think this is a fine interpritation of how that should feel. The major contrast between the previous two parts of the song and this make it feel like Kefka had been toying with you, the previous parts of the fight.

    tl;dr You're right, but wahtever.

  • Chuck norris doesnt check for the Boogeyman at night the Boogeyman checks for Chuck Norris at night

But Chuck checks for Kefka's scary-ass clown face at night beforew he goes to bed

  • This ain't Dancing Mad, in case you haven't already been told that.

  • @AjiraCtelin1993

It's arranged, dude. Usually, these things change, but some things stay the same, like the beginning of this song.
