I almost faint every time I see (and hear) that rough tapping on a 1946 Martin fretboard! That is what happens when one gets used to handling vintage instruments everyday.

@Samueltrad yea man I wasnt too thrilled by that tapping on the neck either. I dont even like doing that on my acoustic, and mine is 4 years old. I wouldnt be doing that on a 65 year old guitar that I'm sure could sell for tens of thousands today. It just sounds like it hurts the instrument, if that makes sense.

Boy, don't I wish I could just walk in and take a 1946 Martin D18 along with a Gibson Les Paul (1:28-1:30) Every time I have walked into Norms I never want to leave. I have to settle for the less expensive unfortunately. What a place to visit, Super hospitable folks at Norms as well.
