It encompasses more than you intend and spreads generalized ignorance.

Also the video talked about items not making people happy at the begin of the video. Now although I agree that a packet of tampons won't leave people jumping for joy, they do make peoples lives easier and more enjoyable.
What I say is "Happiness is a choice". Which is pretty much what you are saying, I know happiness is by your attitude towards things, so its your choice to be happy about things and put towards a positive attitude to achieve happiness.

i find similarities between the approach forcasted in this video and good old fasioned psychotherapy. What i noticed about that kind of methods, is that first, they are quite lengthy, next they are continually fixing up damage caused by society and certain moral rules etc. besides, i think you want to, or like to have group sex of the safe kind, if you are not having it, you should have it sometimes, you have the tools, just invite some of your friends and find a random outgroup stranger.

One rarely see's people using protection in porn. You could argue that porn is fantasy but it does idealize promiscuity and unsafe safe. Often "fantasies" revolve around adultery, student/teacher sex, sex with stranger, etc.
If you claim porn doesn't promote these things you are delusional.

@psychetruth please provide proof of this...show me statistics that porn is more often than not unprotected sex or that it has led to more promiscuity...in fact REPRESSION of sexual urges leads to promiscuity and there's more than enough research and "statistics" that proves this case. The first one being done in the 60's on Catholic schools and rise in sexual conduct post graduation. furthermore, if you GOOGLE porn and rape it will take you to a study that clearly shows "porn prevents rape"

@ArthurKnoqOut Just go to a free porn site; porntube, redtube. watch the top 20 videos. Count how many of the videos included condoms (probably none). Count how many video indicated the people having sex were involved in a long term relationship (probably none).
Also US forcible rape arrest in 1960 = 17,190 and 2010 = 84,767. That more than a 4X increase since pornography became prevalent in society.

The problem is the debate over porn is sort of kept in a false paradigm(conservative prudes vs the live and let live crowd) but there are huge problems that need to be addressed that are completely outside that limited debate. Search for the 'your brain on porn' series and check out the book 'pornified' for starters.

True, there are some examples of bad porn out there and the porn industry is shitty. But porn itself is actually a SAFE expression of human sexuality.
Lastly, you can't demonize promiscuity in one video and then on the same channel have pro-sex videos, you've officially outraged your audience.

There is plenty of evidence that people are "stupid" about sex including that fact that 1/2 of Americans will get an STD at some point in their life, half of marriages end in divorce and there are more than 1 million abortions in the US annually.

Promiscuity is not bad in it of itself, its just the recklessness of it that hurts the self and others. Those of us who are non-monogamous don't appreciate being lumped in with the idiots.

@NeptunePrincess04 Hell yeah Code Geass! :) My personal approach is that Happiness sounds kind of extreme.. like Misery.. but "contentment" sounds like a strong and stable position you can put your mind into. I think also that TRUE happiness/contentment comes from external things. If A mind finds this position then although external phenomena may wax or wane.. and calamity alternates with prosperity, but this mind will never waver. I also believe this can only exist in current moment.

@gloryboundkev As an Atheist, I find that happiness comes from helping others and enjoying nature. I don't feel like every single person on this Earth is inherently bad. I don't find happiness in claiming that I myself am a terrible person and I need to be either punished for being evil or need to be forgiven. I think forgiving yourself and truly fixing your own issues is much more productive than just pleading to God for forgiveness. That doesn't sound very happy... But, whatever works for you.

I used to be a die-hard Jesus-freak, but I learned that my beliefs do not comply with reality. I didn't know where I was going. I can tell you it's very real and true. I've read the Bible over 100 times and it's true.

If your friends don't repent and come to God through Jesus Christ, they will be lost forever, and I wouldn't want to know that I neglected telling them about the salvation they could have. Worse yet, is that you will spend eternity in torment because you rejected Jesus Christ. But it's no sweat off my back because I know where I'm going and that's to Heaven with Jesus.
