Why would people want to stay backward and ignorant, and be the slaves of lazy priests? China offers the people of tibet freedom from priests and offer education and modern health care! But the west says tibet should be set free to be poor, ignorant & slaves! Westeners know nothing but what they see on TV, Westeners talk much, but know little! India's indigenous faiths, knowledge paths of Rishis, Buddhism, Muslim, Christianity and Maoism have followers in India. China can teach Indiana how to pollute Tibet and the Ganges, kill yr parents and children and prostitute yr philosophy for commercial gain. So of course China opposes dharma.
