Gorbachev has always impressed me. He showed a lot of soul in this video clip. He helped normalize relations between the USA and Soviet Union. As Russia moves further into the future, I endorse peaceful relations between the American and Russian people. We can learn a lot from each other and prosper by sharing ideas.
Thanks for sharing this, it is very sweet. I think it's always hard for a man when his wife predeceases him, because he always expects that he will be the one to go first.
That guy deserves the Nobel Peace prize for every year there is not war in Europe. He was critical in a graceful exit from the Cold War. Amazing to think he'd probably still be in power if the USSR survived.
this man really loved his wife, she is really in pain, they will meet in Heaven. I love this guy, he helped alot of people. thanks for sharing this video with us. may God bless you!
And how many millions of Russian women and children have died due to Gorbachev's disasterous leadership, and destruction of the USSR? Why do I never see him cry for them?
wnxsilence, thank you for speaking the truth! Gorbachev ruined the worker's paradise with his policies of freedom and openness. Life was much better in Russia when you could be sent to the Gulag for disagreeing with the government.
@ImWatchinTheTube Then why have the Russians elected a Communist apparatchik over and over again? Capitalism in Russia failed, and the people turned to Putin as their savior to bring back the good old days before Gorbachev tore down the wall.
@1middlesbrough I don't know about going to the Gulag for agreeing with the government, but they would send people to the Gulag for the condescension inherent in emphasizing words with ALL CAPS.
@acr08807 Most people were sent to the Gulag because Stalin needed slave labour to build up the country, the vast majority of them had done nothing wrong. Most of the politburo were eliminated as well as many millions of loyal communists
Because it was his fucking wife and he was her husband you insensitive little shit. As for disastrous lieadership, i guess you mean the democratization and liberalization of the world's largest superpower right? Right...thats what i thought
could someone please tell me the name of the song in this documentry just before this clip starts. the original song please as I believe it is probably a old song. Regards Steve
