soldiers in WWII could, and did use, captured German weapons. some weapons, like the mp40, seen here, had better handling and were more accurate than the Tommy Guns.

MP40 was great for its time but i still think the tommy had it totally beat. I mean the only advantage the MP had was a large ammo capacity but that 9mm wont put some1 down the same way as a tommy with its .45

Most likely because you can collect their ammo. You sometimes run out of ammo, so it's always nice to have a german backup weapon.
