Even if she did use cocaine, it would in NO WAY take away from her accomplishments on the tennis court. Cocaine is NOT a performance-enhancing drug, it is a RECREATIONAL drug. Its use in NO WAY improves ones tennis game. I do not condone its use, but it is absolutely NOT the same as using steroids or human growth hormone, or any other performance-enhancing substance.

i agree with you martina will stay number 1 for long. on the other side i believe that she tried drugs once. no offense. everybody could do it. the best attitude would have been to admit it, telling that it was a mistake. tennis fans love those stories and would have forgiven i think. it is a pity that she gave up tennis like that with this stupid story

Yeh, shes so charming, going around calling Mauresmo half a man.... She wouldnt have retired so suddenly if she was actually innocent. She is one of the all time greats and would have defended that and proven her innocence. It makes sense really, a player of her talent shouldnt have had to save match point against a british wildcard at wimbledon last year and then lose to Laura Granville, That should have been evidence enough that somethin was wrong.

I think your comments about hingis are unwarranted and inapproriate. She probably had a bad day at wimbledon and most likely was not high on cocaine. I think everyone has experimented with drugs at one point. I'm sorry but her one time cocaine use does not tarnish her image in my opinion.

i think you'll find that she was injured during wimbledon, hence why she didn't play the french open. and why bring that mauresmo comment all the time it's boring and pointless. anyway she has a negative hair test which is better than urine tests, and not everything is proven, and if she did it why didn't the wta know? the itf only banned her so that their testing system didn't look fucked up, which it is, hence why so many players have won their appeals at the CAS.
