I told Erik Travis last year that he should re-release this 12".Sadly I never heard anything back from him.Perhaps you could send him a message yourself? I presume he is still a member here on YT.

    Peace and respect

    Leon

  • yes leon i could do that, but my experience is, no response

it's really something for the d.i.e. guyz to rerelease it

  • I really don't know why they wouldn't re-release this original version? The demand is obviously there. It seems strange to me.

  • very dark

  • this is fawkin' sweet for sure

  • Timeless Electronic Funk!

  • I thought it was cool because I played all keys no samples and no retracks, and Detroit Most Wanted sampled it (rap group) didn't know of D.I.E. you never know where your music will end up.

  • i just discovered it....it may be the coolest shit i´ve ever heard.much respect!!!!!

  • lol if it wasn't for cybotron.... R9

  • chuuuuuuuuneeee!!!!!! yo, the store i worked at in detroit, peoples records, had a white label copy of this that jeremy campbell (nyc dj, tropicalcomputersound) picked up.... i remember him saying "it sounds like someone heard about dance music and kraftwerk but had never heard it before, only about it and tried to make a record of it".... completely forgot about this one, such a great, weird track....

  • realfreshblog for president, bringing this one up!!

  • ooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmggggggggggggg

  • This AWESOME with a capital

  • The magic man:) did it again!!!

  • Damn, this is mint! Never knew he was around back then, I only know his ghetto stuff from DJ Godfather mixes and whatnot. There's an Aux 88 track from about 96/96 which also goes "my mind goes into programming", but now I know the original. Nice one again!

  • My pleasure mate.

Thank you for the cool comment!

  • Yeah this is superb. I think you're thinking of the D.I.E track "Programming" which samples that bit and cuts it up. I didn't know it came from Erik Travis..

  • Oh there was an AUX 88 track with the same lyric too, sorry, but D.I.E actually sampled this.. lol

  • Haha! Leon Leon Leon...3 words - u da man! lol

This is as rare as seeing da pope spin on his head..haha!

I vaguely remember Mr Travis from Techno Drivers from Metroplex! (hope its the same person..lol)

This is so quirky its fantastic!

Really good sound even after 20+ years!

    Tam:)

  • Yep...same person mate.

I heard that this was supposed to have come out on Express Records...don't know what happened.

Thank you for another great comment! You also da man!
