If it has wored as planned, why is unemployment at 10%instead of 8.5%? As origal47 says, the real rate is much higher because of those whose benefits have run out. There is nothing of any value that comes from the administration's mouth.

Robbing peter to pay paul does not create real jobs. The primary issue is that the government cannot create anything without hurting something else. To create jobs, the government must first extract wealth from the economy via taxation, or raise the money by issuing debt. Regardless of whether the burden is borne by present or future taxpayers, the result is the same. .job creation and economic growth are inhibited.

This is so misleading. The unemployed is much higher than that. Those figures are determined by the amount of people receiving unemployment checks, or registered with the employment office.There are tens of thousands of people that dont get counted. Think of all the people you know, and how many of them are jobless and dont get a check. If Americans had the real total unemployment would be more like 50 percent unemployed or working part time minimum wage jobs.
