As a U.S. Army MP in 1975, me and numerous members of my unit were assigned to Operation Babylift. Our mission was to keep the kids safe. We were all honored to have had anything to do with this program. I pray every orphan we took care of found a happy home. God bless you all.
I was one of the Aero Medical Evacuation Med Techs stationed at Clark AB in the PI and who flew the babies out of Vietnam. Also, flew missions of orphans and adult aids to Washington, Pennsylvania, and Arkansas. I had just turned 20 yrs old and I have always been proud to be part of such a wonderful effort.
I was the youngest child to come out at 3 months old. The only reason I would want to meet my birth mother would be to say THANK YOU. To everyone else that was involved I feel an eternal connection. Rohan from Australia.
I was a Air Force medic, at the Clark Air Base hospital and I partisipated in OBL. It is an event in my life I will never forget. I'm thinkful I was able to help all you who have written here. God bless you and I pray that your life has been good here in America.
Wow, what an amazing collection of photos. I too was one of the Babylift Orphans, arriving in Australia on the second flight in April '75. Very moving, thank you for posting! :)

I lived at Clark AFB when Operation Babylift started. The people of Clark came together like I have never seen, donating food, clothes, baby items - their time. I was 14 and a Girl Scout and was lucky enough to be able to go to the flight line and get a baby, clothe it, bath it, love it till it was time to board another plane state side, then do it all over again! Those are memories I will always cherish!
god love all who helped, they did something unbelievable, words can not describe, i only wish it could happen again for the orphans over there now, ... x
I was one of the babies on the first Babylift flight in 1975 too.I don`t have any memories of it.(none of us would`ve) LOVE the video.I was adopted into Oz
A friend I work with was a survivor of the first flight in 1975 that crashed. She was 3 or 4 at the time and has very vivid memories. This is beautiful. Thank you for posting.
I cordially invite all to the 35th Anniversary Vietnam Babylift Program at the New Jersey Vietnam Era0Ed Center in Holmdel, NJ on April 24, 2010 for a screening of the film, speakers and music performance, art exhibit.
A good friend of mine was one of the 2000 plus children shown here. I have linked this video to him. I hope he finds some peace and resolution. He deserves closure and the opportunity to move forward. He is one of the bravest people I know. If you read this, Matt, we love you Bro and are here for you.
This is grand. I was a volunteer at the Navy Base in Long Beach when many of the children came from the crash. It was an amazing experience. I "delivered" one child to Denver for adoption (I had an airline pass and volunteered to do this for Friends of Children of Viet Nam in Denver) i have often wondered about all the children who I delivered. I have many items that should be in a Operation Babylift museum. I am in Modesto
i think it's wonderful when a video can bring people together like this. it's rare that only positive comments are seen on a youtube page. i enjoyed your video very much and i have enjoyed reading everyone's comments. thank you.
I too am an adoptee from Operation Babylift. Like 'cuttingqueen' I was adopted into Canada, Ontario to be specific. Today (April 5th) is the anniversary day that I was flown out! Thanks so much for the video, I love it!
Tomorrow is the 33rd anniversary of the tragic crash that killed so many of these beautiful children... it seems like yesterday to me... (April 4th, 1975)
I am an orphan who was 11 months old on the airlift from Danang and then to Saigon when Danang fell. I was then flown to New Zealand and have resided in Canada for most of my life. God bless to you all. I would love to go back and see my roots and the bravery of the children there now. Thank you for the video for I watch this everyday. I thank God for my life, and I pray for those who still have the chance.....
Thanx for your comment, I was flown to San Francisco and then I came to Germany. I hope you are ok. I was 1999 back on my roots - it`s not easy to go back into the past, but very important...
Being an Oprhan from Vietnam April 1975 Airlift, this is very touching. I live in Canada now and think about those days all the time...I was 11 months old! Thank you for the clip!
