@BubbleLove44 Thanks for asking.. I will have to look it up.. I noticed I didn't mention it.... and I need to correct that. Once I look it up and correct it I will reply again with the name.
i gave these to my mum and she got mad of me , so she smashed it on the floor and asked where did i get the crap idea from, shall i tell her it was from you, she will be mad of you!
wow!I have been going nuts with looking for all kinds of ideas for Christmas cookies..I was the cook and my sister who has passed on was the sweets baker! well THIS Year I wanted to give homemade cookies in honor of her.. name ( Mirna)SHE was the one who did this when I was a kid..I am really thrilled to have this wonderful Idea for sending..Thank you for sharing this and God BLESS YOU! I am a newbe HERE But feel blessed to have found your video!! Thank you AGAIN! Homemademom1
Homemademom, you are too kind! I love the idea of you making the gifts in honor of your sister. I have a site you can get more recipes, like brownies and stuff. I will send you a private msg with the web site address. Welcome to YouTube, I hope you hang around and enjoy and make a video or two. Have a Blessed day!
YouTube ate my first comment!! Grrr! I said that this was a wonderful gift idea and that I hoped you would be sharing us more this holiday season. hugs, Chris :-)
Hey Chris... thanks for dropping back by again. I guess Youtube was hungry for comments. lol I was planning on doing a bunch of videos in October and got side-tracked so we will see what I can do. take care, Martha
lol no offence or anything but I could have figured out to find a some dirty jar in my house wash it out then put some sugery junk in it then decorate it lol
I love doing stuff like that for the girls at work. This year I just made them fudge and put it in a little tin. I will have to do the cookies next year. Good idea!
This is awesome Martha! I was going to throw one together today, but I cannot find the recipe, darn it! If I find it tonight, I'll make it tomorrow morning and try to post it in the afternoon.
I didn't find it! I'm so bummed. It was a 'tropical' cookie. I went out and bought all the tropical crap! Now what am I going to do with it? LOL I have mango and cranberries and pineapples and and and It's here, it's just a matter of WHEN I find it.
They do sound good huh (not that I would know)lol - Honest I am on my diet (so I can't taste test)... Okay who am I kidding, I did a test and yep they were good. lol
I will have to send you a jar and you can bake some. lol
Honestly funny thing is I can sell them for much more. Like when I make the cocoa.. I can make 8 pint jars and it averages out to $1.80 a jar depending on how fancy your decorations are.
I actually gave my English professor a jar of cookies this past Monday as an early Christmas gift:) Heh heh. He said they were the best he's ever tasted:D Great ideas, Martha;)
This is a terrific idea, Martha. Why (oh why) didn't you post this three weeks ago??? I'll never remember for next year... I am always running around in a panic, trying to get the ubiquitous and elusive gift, and here it is, right at YOUR fingertips! - roc
Oh man roc -- sorry about that. I will remind you next year .. promise ( I have a ton of them) I like giving soup... especially the six-bean soup because it is so colorful. I have a whole bunch of them. Hugs and stuff, Martha
Thanks Jim... homemade gifts are fun to do as well. I got a late start this year so I didn't make as many as I wanted to but I am starting early next year. See ya later
Wonderful idea Martha =) I've received those before and yes, they are absolutely perfect for when you want to hurry and make cookies without trying to find all the stuff you need =)
I like the soup in the jar and the cocoa too. Quick and easy. I have found folks that are single or a couple really enjoy them so they can make a dessert for a party without having to buy all the stuff or have a nice soup without the trouble. lol
