people may laugh but heres a story my mother has. we used to have collie/german shepard. my mother used to live in Wisconsin but when she moved she had to leave Pepe (her name) behind. about 5 months later guess who shows up on the doorstep. Pepes paws were bleeding and she looked like she hadn't eaten in days but she was alive and found us even though she had no clue where we moved to. to this day my mother cant explain how she made that it from Wisconsin to New Mexico
I'm sure cats and dogs have senses that we still haven't discovered, plus the sense of smell, plus a geomagnetic guiding system, and who knows what else that is still unknown to science...Some dogs can find their way to their original owners if they moved far away and I mean to another town. far far away.
A dog who was given away because the owner could'nt take care of him was taken to a different town, several miles away. Surprise, the dog came back skinny, haggard to the original owners home several months later...The owners understood the message and accepted him as a new member of the family.
Poor dog. That dog was a male and they called it 'girl' through the whole movie.
Dogs are smarter than that. They know if they're a male or female.
MY kitty would have yowled the whole way there.
We moved across town, and she not only howled the whole way there but she meowed for a whole week straight after she was safely ensconced in the new house.
My friend started to get annoyed after 5 days of her constant meowing. Silly kitty. : )
The power of love is the most mysterious, universal, and yet strongest power that exists. Somehow, it moves into us, out of us, and thru us, - never diminished by being given away. In fact, giving it away actually makes it stronger! Love is ageless, timeless, and the one force that never ends or dies. It originates in God and it defines His most basic essence and being. We are made by Love, for Love and to Love- REAL love flows emanates thru ALL creation, and is the opposite of selfishness.
When I was young, my family raised chickens. There is one hen whom I am very fond of. She was uhmm I think 2 years old and she was very close to me. I personally feed her amongst other chickens. 1 day, I can't find her and I was crying because I love her very much. My mother said she was stolen. I was very sad, very very sad that time. I wish she cud come back. To my amazement , 5months later my chicken was back! Scurrying as she saw me. SO I REALLY BELIEVE, animals r lyk people in sum ways.
@PhoneGlyph Hee hee, great comment. You had a hen you were "very fond of"? Just how did you express your love? What unspeakable things were you doing in that chicken house without your parents' knowledge?
@ReligiousZombie I always feed her the same time as we humans.. nyahaha! I gave her even snacks... at night the chickens will climb up to a tree in the yard to perch and sleep. I always lift her up... I always hug her whenever I went back home from school or whatsoever...
Back in 1992, my cat Alley disappeared, I searched all over for her, put up flyers, went all over the neighborhood and surrounding areas looking for her. 3 months later she showed back up at the back door like she did every morning hollering wanting in to eat. I was amazed & shocked that she somehow found her way home wherever she was. She stayed with me till 2006 when she passed away, she never wanted to leave after her little safari
Ewww I hate cat women, lol. Those bitches that always talk about their cats like they're people, that are obsessed with their fifty cats, and whose houses smell like complete shit.
@cookie123d1 You must have some sort of learning or listening disability...the MYSTERY is HOW animals are sometimes able to travel long distances through unfamiliar territory and numerous dangers to reunite with their owners! The ability of pets to do this defies logic and normal scientific explanation and seems to be linked with the owner's hopes and prayers of finding them. How did the pets know where to go? How did they survive? What guided them? It's a MYSTERY! Now do you get it?!
animals are such great companions to people-they absolutely deserve our love and respect. They are also much more intelligent that we give them credit for.

Why didn't that dog, Lady, just go straight down south to Duluth? LOL jk

My kitty would have yowled all the way to the new place.
We moved across town once and it took 45 minutes to get to the new house.
That cat howled the whole way there, we're talking nonstop meowing that didn't end for a week.
The Vet said she's a 'high-strung cat.' Some cats, like people, have type-A personalities.
My former husband said 'She has something, all right.'
