The producers don't plant anyone into the auditions you morons. They'll do segments with potentially controversial contestants but they aren't bringing in circus shows just to piss off the judges. Losing Simon was the worst thing to happen to American Idol and he has always said the auditions were his least favorite part of the show. The producers wouldn't invest so much in very temporary ratings to lose ratings in the long run by driving away they're most critical and accurate judge.
