Actually, Gerard liked Twilight before it was turned into a movie franchise. And they weren't asking to put 'Vampires will never hurt you' on the soundtrack. Actually, Gerard liked Twilight before it was turned into a movie franchise. And they weren't asking to put 'Vampires will never hurt you' on the soundtrack. They asked MCR to do the entire New Moon soundtrack. Gerard said no because he felt that the film franchise was a trendy, teeny boppy, cheap depiction of a romantic vampire story. Vampires have always been an object of lust and hopeless romance, ever since Dracula. The book saga should have been portrayed properly on film.
