  • What exactly does this do?

  • why dont they do a 64 bit version for the CPU client? surely that would hold much more potential?

  • @LizzyAston Give me 10, i'll just knock one up.

    COCK.

  • @buzzification1 shove your cock up my arse and keep cumming til it comes out my mouth

  • does it have sound

  • wow cool stuff :D

weeee the crt monitor :D thats not cool hahah just kidding

  • All of those pro group machines are named after characters from Atlas Shrugged. Cool.

  • this is exactly why the iPhone is so damn sweet.. can't wait to get mine!

  • very nice

  • ok, thats too bad :(

    ty for answering!

  • why do you use windows, if you use a linux server distribution, you will be using a lighter OS, that means that you have more processing power for the proyect!!

  • Linux is worse for GPU folding as far as I know. The opposite is true for CPU folding.

  • ok, ty for answering!

btw I think that the GPU is slower on linux because the manufacturer does not make good drivers

  • Yeah I'm unsure about why, some folding forums may have better answers. What most of us do to maximize is run Windows for GPU and VMWare virtual thingy for the cpu client.

  • ok.

  • @Santiagosony

ATI dont have gd drivers, nVidia's drivers are actually v.good

  • yeah, nvidia cuda has been used for a long time in these projects.

  • @iRBigN00B thr isnt a linux client.. thats the reason :P

  • with XP with GPU folding @home XP 32bit best OS to use

  • @gteaz em.. well, this guy has 8GB of Video RAM, 32 bit only supports 2^32 address (4GB of ram unless u do paging.. you CANT use more then 4GB at a time), however 64 bit systems have 2^64 addresses... thats 2EB (ExaByte), you would need 64bit..

Linux>windows, it had to be said sometime

  • 32bit only supports 3.3-4GB of system ram, not video ram.

  • No, 32 Bits ONLY CAN see 2^32 addresses... if the memory is on a bus (like system ram or video ram(which is on a PCI-E bus)) and it is being used on a OS, the OS needs to allocate its memory.. a 32bit system only can allocate 4(ish)GB of RAM.. full stop

    (32bit)

    ~4GB = system ram + video + other memory

  • what does this do?

  • How long does it take to complete a single assignment? The Core 216 must complete it pretty fast. :D

  • iphone monitoring rocks my world.

    -V_A

  • are u a gamer by the way?if u are, make some benchmarking video pls?

  • Who gave you the funding for this?

  • No one gave me funding for this, it's a personal project.

  • Thanks for the speedy reply, and wow... props to you. Do you get a huge discount from somewhere? GTX 295's aren't cheep, nor are 23 of them lol

  • No discounts, no.

  • WOW! man keep up the work I cant believe you dont get funded! Even if you dont thats still FREAKING sweet I wish I had a better PSU im a few amps off from what my GPU is asking for

  • WOW! (Again).. thats insane! You deserve funding for that... you have a SuperComputer right there. Do you know how many flops it produces?

  • Right now 41.424 single-precision TeraFLOPS

  • how many gpus you got?!?!

  • 50-something. 23 nVidia GTX295s plus other miscellaneous stuff.

  • awesome!

  • fucking masterpiece ...

    brilliant

  • can u olso just reopen that client >

i didnt see u do that in the video :O

cool that u can do it from the iphone btw :P

  • Heh, sure you can but I didn't want the video to run very long.

  • is that the gtx 295´s in the background what is so loud?

  • Yes one of the shelves is just behind the phone, you can see a bit of the wiring at times.

  • You are the folding god I love your set up! Keep vids coming I want to see more of these rigs and how many PPD do you get average?
