  • i just wanted to say im on week three the first week you will see some results only if you do the workouts. these workouts are INTENSE i was already quite fit as i did sports but these workouts are killers stay motivated do the exercises and you will get results!!

  • @imajineinfiniti Me too, but if you got Tony horton One on One, and checked out Killer Abs or the abs routine in volume is those are 10 times harder than the ab ripper x (also insane abs of insanity). :)

    (Apparently) muscle confusion prompts the fastest results EVER *& un4tunately, I have many other failed efforts 2compare :((.*

    Time-consuming, but I'll adjust my own regimen 2incorporate some of these exercises after I'm done with "lean".

  • Eittam43, you know nothing of the program> I have certified trainers before. Excellent instruction from them. But you pay thru the nose, and you still forget proper form once your on ur own!

    P90x gives you, constant instruction as you do your exercise.

    The range of exercises will make you athletic and look your best! Your not just pounding weights and stuck on a treadmill at a gym!

  • unless you pay countless $ on a personal trainer, ur routines are unproven and poorly structured. p90x is structured by one of the most renown trainers in the business. why go to a gym and do your own thing when you could be given proper instruction? gyms dont stress other skills, like flexibility, balance, core strength, mind and breath work, cardiovascular strength, isometric exercises, and you get to save money while doing it. you also dont have to waste gas by going there.

  • About the push up comment,... I started with 10push up at the time... and now Im doing between 20-30push ups, everytime :). SO YES YOU CAN... but you have to work your way up little by little :).

  • I have seen and know many guys that are 100% commited to a gym and dont get half the results i have in the amount of time i have worked out. If you talk bad about this workout you either tried and failed like a bitch or you are just a complete idoit.

  • To the idiots talking bad about p90x, you have know clue what you are talking about if you dont think he can do 80 to 90 push ups after doing these workouts your dead wrong I am halfway through the program and everything about my health my body and my athleticism has improved drastically. I am not even half way through the program.

  • I doubt if bunshine has even done a P90X workout. Think what you want. It's changed my life. I'm in the best shape at 49 (oops I'm old) of my life. And I was in pretty good shape before. I used to bicycle race and have lifted weights of and on for years. He knows nothing.

    listen to yourself,your saying you wont athletically excell. So from 50 push-ups to

    80-90 push-ups,2-3 times the pull-ups,faster 40 yard dashes, faster

    times in 1,2 and 5 mile runs

    this is just what i have experienced

    on 85 days of p90x

    so shut the fuck-up

  • why not? I see guys in the military do that man pushups all the time in a 2 minute period.

  • Ive seen alot of push-up videos on youtube, and i dont think ive seen a single one in which the push-uper was doing good, proper range of motion push-ups.

    theres a lot of head bobbing and air humping, I myself have maxed at 44 perfect reps. Ive seen another guy do 50. But generally speaking, the guys that try to do x number of push-ups in a minute and whatnot, do so by sacraficing form.

  • In the army I max at 44 pushups in 2 min and I was 30 at the time and a female...trust me I have seen many guys do 80-100 and that wasn't with this program.

  • Im x-military (some 15 years back), and I can still crank out close to 100 pushups in under 3 minutes. The whole trick is rhythm. and in military style, it has to be done straight thru, no knees on the deck, elbows to 90 and chest to the deck as one rep.

    if anyone could do it, i would bet it would be a military type, all those guys do is push ups and pull ups... but again, of all the videos on youtube, ive never seen more than 50 perfect rep push ups.

  • what do you mean p90x is for women and old people? ive tried their workouts and believe me an old lady would break a fucking hip trying to do one of their stretches.

  • try it and see if you think its for old people and women. Arnold in his prime would get a good workout from the P90X.

  • Look, You won't get the profanity laced attack from me but, have you actually DONE a round of P90X? Not wanting to support your argument, but I'm 49, have been doing X for over a year and I'm stronger and more fit than I've ever been in my life. I help coach a high school basketball team and run "suicides" with the kids. I not only keep up, I beat most of them. I could not have done that before this program. I could do three pullups before I started this. I can do 25 now! It works!

  • Yeah it really structures muscle confusion. Kenpo X..nah not a real fighting style..just a lot of punches, kicks and combos..don't expect any martial skill but it does provide a varied workout.

  • Hello. Can you tell me how they divide up the workouts? Is it one workout for a few weeks and thena switch or is it one routine everyday for 12 days.

  • they have 3 different workout things. Classic, Lean, and ???. I forgot the last one. You do one or two videos a day, 6 days a week. Then the last day is either stretch or rest. Then the fourth week of that is a rest/recovery week. Then they do another 3 weeks and the last week off

  • The other is doubles...more cardio to lean more.

  • Each week you do 6 different workouts (7 if you opt to do the stretch workout on the 7th day of each week), which in the Classic version alternate between resistance training (Chest & Back; Shoulders & Arms; Legs & Back; Chest, Shoulders, & Triceps; and Back & Biceps) and something more cardio-oriented (Plyometrics, Yoga, and Kenpo).

    That runs for three or four weeks, with one week of recovery before you start your next phase. 3 phases, 13 weeks in all=90 days Hope this helps!

  • And I should mention that the "recovery week" is still a workout a day (again the 7th day being optional stretch workout), but it's just not the resistance stuff, so you do Yoga, Kenpo, the Stretch workout, and a core muscle workout.

    There's also an Ab workout video, which is set up to be done after each resistance video (as well as included as a separate disc or tape).

  • 12 weeks, six days a week, the 7 you can either rest or do a strech workout thatis provided....very good. I'm on my third week now, and I love it! Great stuff, not easy but great!
