yeah, Maemo Ovi maps 1.0 is disappointing, I am using two phones because of this, the N900 (my favorite multimedia multitasking and easy ui phone) and the Nexus one (my app and navigation star) if Nokia and Maemo fixed this on the n900 I would get rid of my Nexus one...for now, I am using both

no, this version is the 1.0 and trust me sucks, you cannot save your favorites places, dont have the "turn by turn navitagion" and you have to download all the maps on the run... im very disapointed, the 3.0 version of the symbians is much better

as far as i know, it doesnt, i try it on a airplane no cellphone coverage... and it still GPS works, a bit slower but it does
