@manbearwolflion Thanks for watching. I do indeed have a soundcloud. just search Memotone on there. I am also working with two labels at the moment. You can catch my latest EP on 12" from Black Acre. ENJOY!
Very nice! I have that same Roland kit and an MPC 2000XL. Probably getting a KP3 soon, weird. You can get a lot going with just the MPC, that kit and a synth or 2. Anyway, nice work, it takes skill to do what you do.
I just want to tell you that you are quite good. I mean that very sincerly. That is VERY fresh. I could hear that on the radio a year or sooner from now, if it's not being played on the radio now. NICE music. I really dig it. I must say, I was sorta skeptical when I first clicked on it. But THIS is fucking brilliant. Good Job. Keep it up until you're signed. If you already are, do this more. But you already know that.
I am not sure why you are asking my this question as I have never posted a video with me scratching or mixing. Or doing anything with decks for that matter. But yes, over time with excessive scratching the needle will cause damage to your vinyl. This is referred to as record burn. But a record can take quite a lot befor that becomes the case.
Strings are just a hassle to record as I dont have a clip on pick up. I save all that work for my properly produced stuff. But I do agree. It would have sounded nice.
i dont no what u mean by clip on pick up,do have a sound module??jus record some orc strings off that str8 into the mpc, either way its a nice beat...like ya work bro, keep it up
Oh. Yes I do. But I try and keep all my sounds real. Recorded by me. And seeing as I have a violin and cello to hand I would probably rather record my own samples than use a computer. A clip on pick up is just like a pick up on a guitar its just you can put it on and take it off. So you can plug in acoustic instruments to a p.a, amp or recording device. And Thanks again.
folks you are watching a genius at work right here! this man has talent coming out his tear ducts, a hidden gem in this room kitted out with fantastic equipment but its deemed useless without that indifferent looking lad there using it. excellent grrove my man, keep it up! im inspired.....
great video. i´m planning on buying a roland hd 1 as well. yea 600 - 700 euro is no peanuts but this kit seems really worth it. this looks like great fun. i will play this - a buddy on guitar - some bass - some kp3 sampling and kaossilator...i can´t wait. thanks for the vid again.
It feels lovely. But I would say that as I spent lots of money on it. But it is very good for the price. Much better than any of the cheeper ones. And Roland is always a safe bet.
If your looking to get the cheepest good electronic drum kit. This is the one. Large samples, good feeling, small, fun and most importantly incredibly responsive.
just wondering, im using an MPC 500 kaoss pad mini, microkorg and a kapssillator. can i run the kaossillator in to the MPC500 and sample it while im looping a beat on it. so pretty much wat the KP3 does. then run that out to the KP mini to a mixer
Hello, Sadly you cannot record into the MPC in real time. You have to do it as a seperate operation. Ive not used the MPC 500 but im sure its the same. Just put it into record mode. Record your sample to a pad and use it in real time that way. Thats all I can suggest. It has to be pre made samples for live stuff really. Unless you have time on stage that you dont need to be doing anyhting. Then you can quickly record some in and away you go again.
Thankyou very much. The sound coming in a 3:34 is just an effect from the Kaossilator. Its got some good sounds on it. Im just running it through my KP3 to loop it as glitch it and stuff.
I can do. But I have not here. There just some samples that I cut up from recordings of my friends acoustic kit and a tamborine. But you can put any sample you want into the MPC as long as its a WAV file. Just wack it on the CF card and away you go!
Haha, thankyou kindly. It takes a little while to get into it. When Im actually recording it, it feels like ive only been playing for like 3 minutes. But clearly not. hahaha. Im sure I will have another to put up soon! This 'Audio Preview' thing is funny.
-loads of great compositions on your channel. i would really like to hear this in higher quality. is there anywhere that i can do so?

Thankyou very much. The Roland HD-1? I think its about £499.00? so about $520.00 or 532.00 euros? But I got mine ex-display for £419.
