well, there are medical reasons that some people tend to get fatter than others. can even be in the genes. they can't eat normally without getting fat. see, my father admits being overweight because he ate too much when he was young. but back then, he didn't get fat. his young lifestyle didn't manifest itself untill he was about 30. between 27 and 30 he went from chubby 90kg to fat 110kg although he ate less and worked harder(ambulance). same thing with his pa and grandpa.
@pretorious700 metabolism slows down with age for all people. Yes, some are genetically more prone to it, but unless you have a HORMONE Disfunction (malfunction?), anyone can have a good body by just eating healthy and excersing. Doing more the more they age to combat slow metabolism.
Other than that, these are all excuses and we know it. People have always wanted the easy way out. And truthfully, it depends on how bad you want it. People think they want it bad, but they really don't.

@vohaull The average body fat percentage for a man is from 18% to 24%... Athletes average from 6% to 13%, so most of them aren't even at 8%. You could check what numbers mean before using them next time.

the majority of fat people are not threatened by being fat and other people who are fat and making fun of being fat are more likely to get a positive result as where a skinny person calling someone fat would get a fuck off. BUT even then... a group of skinny guys out drinking and have a fat friend they are more likely to call him chubs or something.

My father has been a doctor for 40 years, and it's like he says: Genetically disposed? Sick? Pff! I've never had a patient who didn't lose weight if he consumed under 2.000 calories a day, and never met one who didn't gain weight if he consumed over 3.000 a day. It's not rocket science, it's eating too much!
I'm overweight myself, but I'm not inventing feeble excuses for it - I have eaten way too much junk food and drunk way too many beers ever since I quit smoking. No more - no less.

@ChrJahnsen Your father sounds like a very unprofessional one who doesn't understand any of the literature related to his job. Has he not heard of Cushings? Hypothyroidism? How about all the pills he gets kickbacks for doling out to every single patient, pretending they are all mentally ill? Plenty of them have massive weight gain as the top side effect. Oh, and can't forget Prader-Willi Syndrome. Hell, I know more than your father does, maybe he should just give me all his income.

well, there are medical reasons that some people tend to get fatter than others. can even be in the genes. they can't eat normally without getting fat. see, my father admits being overweight because he ate too much when he was young. but back then, he didn't get fat. his young lifestyle didn't manifest itself untill he was about 30. between 27 and 30 he went from chubby 90kg to fat 110kg although he ate less and worked harder(ambulance). same thing with his pa and grandpa.

@tysken94 that's a metabolism issue, which tends to slow down with age-it slows down tremendously in some people, and that IS a genetic trait.

@pretorious700 metabolism slows down with age for all people. Yes, some are genetically more prone to it, but unless you have a HORMONE Disfunction (malfunction?), anyone can have a good body by just eating healthy and excersing. Doing more the more they age to combat slow metabolism.
Other than that, these are all excuses and we know it. People have always wanted the easy way out. And truthfully, it depends on how bad you want it. People think they want it bad, but they really don't.
