  • I did NOT know this had a video! Thanks fo posting. x

  • Did this talent vacuum think she was Kirsty?

  • @TheGrammarSow The late great Kirsty was a friend of Tracey and Kirsty participated in the planning and production of Tracey's covers. They are a complete and loving homage. As far as calling the multiple award winning Tracey Ullman a talent vacuum, well that only shows how little talent you probably study.

To date, Ullman is a seven time Emmy Award winning, and American Comedy Award winning actor.

  • On 5 December 2006, Tracey was honored at the Museum of Television and Radio along with likes of Carol Burnett, Lesley Visser, Lesley Stahl, Jane Pauley, and Betty White, in the She Made It category.

In April 2009, it was announced that Ullman would be awarded a Lifetime Achievement BAFTA Award, the following May. She became the first recipient of the Charlie Chaplin award[47] on 9 May 2009.

  • I had no idea she did other Kirsty MacColl songs.

  • didn't know that they used the same backing track for Terry.. i know that they borrowed Kirsty's 'Baby' (i.e. that high note, not literally) in 'They don't know'

  • with that hair, she reminds me of Kyle Richards at 2:25

  • If I'm not mistaken, this is the exact same recording released by Kirsty MacColl, with Kirsty's lead vocals removed (but not her harmonies) and Ullman's lead vocals overdubbed.

  • @chuckschilling Yes, I'm pretty sure that's how this song was put together.

  • @ohnoitisnathan12 Equally, They Don't Know is virtually a note for note copy of Kirsty's original. In fact, for the Tracey Ullman version, they even left in Kirsty's "BABY" call.

  • Tracey is a great singer

  • I have both the Ullman albums and I love them, but I listen mostly Discharge and Motörhead.

What a fantastic video! I would always look forwarding to seeing new videos from Tracey in the mid 80s. Most of them were such great fun.

This song should have been a big hit, especially in the UK, it's one of Tracey's best.

Thank you so very much for posting!

  • @Homoholic

oops! I meant to say I was always looking forward to Tracey's new videos in the mid 80s
