  • me wants it lol

  • Is the black blade completely black like say on a spyderco military or does the coating not cover the area of the bushings? Just got one and was wondering if thats normal.

  • @Temperdgrump ..I had to find my black D2 710 to check because of your question. The area under the liners/scales by the phosporous bronze washers is not covered in Benchmade's BK1 coating. I honestly don't know the reason for that.

  • just wondering what your thoughts are on the the Spyderco Police. Im sure you've come across a few of them in your field. peace

  • @ik999 ...it's an Outstanding knife! One of Spyderco's earlier creations and mainstays like the Endura. Still in production but, on the expensive side.

I have an old one but, it's one of those blades I forgot where it is...lol!

  • i was looking for a new benchmade, should i get the 710 or the 530 in s30v?

  • @L1NG4N ...I personally have no experience with the Benchmade 530 but, here in Hawaii at knife-fighting seminars this was one of the top 3 knives desired.

  • Great review. I'm a dedicated Benchmade fanatic. I'm about the order a 710 for myself but I'm completely split between the satin finish blade and the black BK1 coated blade. How well does the black coated blade hold up to scratches ?

  • @Devastator38 ...i carried it for a few weeks and it held up good considering I carry it only for self-defense. It did get bang against poles, walls and sticks as I practiced with it.

praticing with a "live" blade is not adviseable but, i like to practice drawing, opening, and simulated stiking with a knife I carry. and some times you get to close to objects such as trees and stuff...lol!

I think it's as durable as Emersons Black-T finish but, nothing last forever right?

    Get both!

  • which knife should i get this or the benchmade griptillian

  • @bigboyjack21 ...I'd get both but, if i had to choose it would be the Benchmade 710.

  • I always liked that model. You give great overviews - short and to the point. Thanks mate.

  • K.I.S.S.-Keep It Simple Stupid...I like to follow that acronym...

  • lol this vid currently has 710 views :D

  • Got mine today, and I've already removed all the skin on my thumb deploying it so much.

  • I know what you mean...I did that a couple of days ago playing with a new Griptilian...lol!

  • my favorite folding knife

  • Thanks for your review Man!

2 Problems that I had with my 710 d2: 1) axis spring broke after a few days of use (fuck, it was hard to receive another one spare spring from USA to Ukraine but Benchmade finally helped me and sent it) 2) blade hit! the backspacer out of the box (Fuck!) One of my friends had the same problem.

It costs $100+ and I did not expext such shit from that! Anyway I carry it almost 1.5 years because I had a chance to compare it to other folding knives that I could afford

  • Sorry to here about your misfortune involving this knife.

I haven't had any problems and I really like this knife...

  • Nice review J.T, love those knives.

    Mike.

  • nice song

  • "You know...who run it...you know..." by 50cent, Eminem, Cashis, Lloyd Banks...

  • Great looking knife, I like your reviews. That's a very smooth looking knife. Thanks for posting.

  • alright hellz I gotta know....how many knives u got???

  • The 710 is my second favorite of my more purposeful EDC blades, the first being the spyderco military.

  • nice review 5/5 bro

  • thanks bru...

  • U need some bushcraft knives!

  • Don't do bushcraft, camping, or the like. I look at a knife and think what kind of "I'll take pleasure in guttin' you boy" situation I'll get out of it...lol!

  • Great vid. You're killing me another knife I gotta have lol. Thanks for these vids.

  • Tell the Wifey it's a must have...lol!

  • love that axis lock the sound of it is addicting

  • yeah I know my friend got a whole bunch of Benchmades in and even though I had one already I didn't have that model.

She ask if I wanted to buy a Griptilian too. Told her I had (3) already. Should have bought it then...so I wouldn't have to go back on Monday...lol!

  • Great review and great knife (...well, except for the whole 1111111115 thing. Hah! Just shooting you shit Dude.)

I do the same flipper thing all day with my Griptilian 550. It's addicitive.

Also, there's a knife you might want to check out. It's a Zero Tolerance 0200. It's a pretty cool little knife and it fits into my paws so you might also like it.

Have a good one and stay loose.

  • My favorite folder. I have had mine for 7 or 8 years. I forget. Still going strong! 5/5

  • Those knives appear to be fake...Please send them to me for futher analysis. I wont charge a thing...

  • and you'll send them right back upon verification right...lol!

  • haha suuure :) Great vid as usual

  • This is a must for my tool box!!!!
