Other two advantages of E52 over E72:

One is you can see the SIM card without removing the battery, but you can't replace it or remove it without removing the battery.

Other is due to qwerty pad on E72 force to use landscape view, there's portrait & landscape view on E52, therefore, there's a camera key.

Other 2 disadvantages of E52:

One is inability to use 2 mm charger without adaptor, which commonly available, so don't forget it.

Other is USB port is covered, i.e. well protected, in E72.

@natmanhyde don't bother your self with size of the keypads button size, you'll easilly get to use it. Unless, you have a big fingers or want to call without looking at the keypads.

You'r annoying problem is the E72 is "somehow" a wide mobile phone, don't take my words as it's, better check it in real life.

@millenia08 unless u fingers is too big, it's indeed good for texting, specially with 2 hands.

However, despite the N97, in real life, is a horrible mobile, E52 can't compete with N97 in texting. Also, better than E52 for texting is E75, a little old, and E7. In short, sliding keyboard mobiles is a paradise for texting.

Better check it in real life, but don't forget to balance texting ability with other mobile's pros & cons.

If u don't looking for cutting edge (3G, 5MP, GPS, etc) check C3-00.

E5 had a better touch keypad than E72, but better & worse in other features. Like less color in screen (i.e not 16 millions color as E72) but bigger RAM memory.

@toshiba2606 e72 and a52 are very similar phones. the only difference is that e72 has qwerty keyboard, optical trackpad and better camera - 5 Mp (e52 has 3.2 Mp camera). I'll rather choose e72...

( i had some problems with the e71, when i was pressing one letter on the keybord, other letters was pressed at the same time ...). Maybe qwerty keybord are not an reel advantage ? do you agree with me or not ?

(example: you are a little drunk :p , and you want to write a message, i think that you will have more problems on a QWERTY keyboard than on a NORMAL one....)

Well, I don't know that because I was never using nokia e72, but according to the pictures of nokia e72 I saw, keyboards are similar and you will probably have the same problems with typing (especially when you are drunk ;) ) so maybe you should go for an e52 then (or stop drinking). :D

I had a E51 (until it was stolen) and it was excellent in picking up weak signals, and it never dropped calls. How does the E52 fare in this department?

WHO SAYS NOKIA is DEAD?

I had a touch diamond 2 and it sucked like hell. The battery life was a shame, the built quality awful. The phone hanged all the time and after just 3 months its speaker muted for ever. Then display turned dark. On GPRS usage it became hot like hell and burned the battery in minutes.

Went for a repair and then sold it 1/4th of what i had paid for it. A real disaster HTC.

amazing phone. I have 4GB inside.. wifi reception is very good. very fast OS.. sometimes i have lags with applications but it doesnt matter. the whole thing is amazing. i had like 13 different phones since i started to use one, and e52 is the best ever.

What about the E55? Is it much better than this because it's newer?

I've heard that the keypad of the E52 wears out quite fast and even comes off easily, is this true? As for the texture or paint of the E52, does it last or does it fade just as quickly? I'm torn between the E66M E52 and E55. My choice as of the moment is the E55. Thanks in advance.

@ebencipe i had 5800 but there's no way i can use it for like im in a hurry or something.. it was soooo hard to use with one hand.. u have to use the stylus most of the time coz u cannot just flick ur fingers on the screen that easy.. I gave it to my sister and bought e52. I love this phone and i will not exchange it for anything. i got also e71 which is also very handy but i dont like qwerty keypads.

Poor build quality buttons are like rubber not like a e71 or e51 and the keys can be easily pulled off the screen cover is a very soft plastic and will not last in a pocket without a cover it feels very very cheaply built not upto usual nokia standards. It should have a glass screen cover like an iphone and also it should have a regular nokia mini charger port NOT a micro usb who has micro usb in their office ??

The new charger is a COMMON new mobile charger standard, its gonne be on every phone in europe soon. And thats a very good thing for many reasons. Besides, that micro usb u stick it up the a s s on the phone and then into a power plug, whats the problem ? The rest you are babbling about is pretty much true, not the best quality phone, i have one my self. The button will go bad fast, the case is not that solid and the phone has poor reception. ohh and it has alot of software bugs.

I agree on the micro usb charging in future will be the standard but right now I think nokia should have also put a mini nokia charge connection on the e52. as we are in a transition period. 2 of my keys have now fallen off the build quality is so bad I'm back using my old e51 which is still going strong I don't miss the e52 which will need to go back to nokia AGAIN!

@diocleziano01 Slightly wider and taller but slimmer. Don't buy one a Blackberry Bold 9700 is far far better. The build quality of the e52 together with the colour which makes the numbers invisible in low light" make the E52 a very poor phone.

Suprised about these battery lifes you are saying. All other reports and review i have been reading it have been said to last for a week for moderate use and 3-4 days of heavy usage.
