  • What College do you play for!!??

  • Greatt video! :) awsome pitcher! <3

  • What college do you play for?

  • @jordanashleyhancock Keep working hard, and never give up!

I was told that I wasnt any good, and I would never make it when I was little, and now I am playing college ball at one of the best Universities.

So the best advice I can give is to never give up!

  • @SmokedaPlate21 thx for the advice im pitching and im starting to slow my speed down and im saying to myself im no good i might aswell give up pitching and in the tournaments my coach NEVER puts me in pitch probably only one inning only in 3 games and i said i suck i give up pitching so im actually gonna keep trying!!

  • To icebox. Naw I'm just that good! Lol

And thanks to everyone who showed me love!!

I really appreciate it!! I am now playing at a division one school playing the sport I love!!

  • well when i started pitching i stepped back and went from there and thats illegal and so is crowhopping i got called for that too soo....... but u r really good

  • lol u must be playing in a horrible confrence cuz these batters are makin u look good im a pitcher...been pitchin since i was 8 and i know 10 yr olds who can throw better riseballs :)

  • NICE

  • @acmecompany Thanks!!

  • i agree! quit giving her a hard time! ur awesome girl!

  • @101davidlover Thanks!

  • what kind of drop does she throw? i throw a crossover and a regular and im supposed to take a half a stride. btw your a really good pitcher, and im a freshman right now and i saw your video and it an inspiration, what kind of change do you throw too? i throw a reverse and a 2 knuckle. great job!

  • @softballbaby131 I throw a turn-over drop.

  • In my region, the NSA ASA and USSSA all require both feet touching the rubber when the pitch begins, and in the middle and high school require the stride foot to land inside the width of the plate. Try reading the rule books, townball leagues create their exceptions to the rules. Travel Ball has rules.

  • @edward4100 Well this was taped during high school ball, and both feet dont have to touch the rubber :) So I take advantage of everything I can get! As a division 1 athlete I know I can no longer do that, so I dont.

  • And just so you know, I do know the rules. I have my umpire liscense. . haha. I have had it for the past 3 years. Its people like you that make the game interesting though. . New rules and made up rules are always the best!! So keep yelling from the stands acting like you know something!! bahaha

  • You pitch a fastball with stride foot off rubber and your screw ball has the stride foot outside the rubber. Illegal pitches. Hope you can fix it.

  • @edward4100 ACTUALLY WHEN SHE PITCHES THE FASTBALL SHE CAN DO THAT THE ONLY PLACE YU CANT DO THAT IS WHEN YUR IN COLLEGE MAKE SURE YU KNOW WHAT YUR TALKING BOUT!!! I wonder how old yu are im pretty sure she knows what shes doing

  • @edward4100 I have. I am now playing in college so the things you listed arent done anymore..,. When this video was taped they were not enforced rules that applied to me.

  • I hope you're still playing and pitching! You're excellent! I play college softball at my university and most of the pitchers in my conference don't have the versatility you do!

  • @sniperbaby22 where do you play at?

I am now playing college ball also. .

  • ohh, qirll look at cheww ypur qood

    how fast do you pitch?

  • @MsVon15 thanks! And I am not quite sure, I have been clocked in a while.

  • your and awesome pitcher!!! I pitch to!!!! how fast is your fastball?

  • @softballpitch2 thanks! And Idk I havent been clocked in a while

  • your and awesome pitcher!!! I pitch to!!!!

  • @softballpitch2 Thanks, and that is awesome!

  • You are good but you have to remember that if you pick up your feet it's an illegal pitch . You are supposed to drag . Nice change up

  • @SoftballChiefs97 well, isee what yur saying she does a little but she does drag

  • ur awsome

  • @alpha4121999 Thank you!

  • 1. You're an amazing pitcher!

    2. Who ever is saying shes crow hopping really don;t know what they are talking about.

    3. Keep it up. You're awesome!

  • @rebeccad94 thankyu

  • @rebeccad94 Thanks!!

  • Hey hate to say it. but by the looks of her pitching she will tear or throw her rotater cup in no time. and every pitch i see is illegal.

  • @believer82ily obviously yu dnt know nuthing she is not pitching illegal

  • @believer82ily They arent illegal pitches, lol. I have been pitching the same way since I was 12, so that has been 7 years now, and they are not called illegal yet. .

And my rotater cup is still working fine (knock on wood) Hopefully it will stay that way :)

  • Beast!! You pitch amazing :)

and no you are not crow hopping,

i love your change by the way :) you sell it very well :)

  • @MJsPYT21 Thanks soooo much!

  • Great pitching want to pitch just like you :D

  • @Softball101Pitcher Awh! Thanks! Where are you from?

  • do you figure four when you pitchh?

  • @chatterrboxx Not really. . But on some pitches I do, it just depends on how I land.

  • Your crow hoppinggg.

  • @g00by5 Sorry, i disagree. after pitching since I was 12 I havent been called once for illegal pitching for crowhopping.

  • whats your speed for your fastball?

  • Are they playing on a small field? In Mexico that's a field for 10yr0 and under

  • @722000theloop Nope, and the team that I played from Mexico, they didnt act like there was any difference. lol

  • what is tht song called

  • You are so good! have u been accepted to a college? my dream is to go to UT-Knoxville. I hope u go big!

  • @WinryRockbellFMA1 Yes, I have been accepted. and sorry to tell you, but my team beat the University of Tennessee this fall :))

  • O.O who video tapes ur pitching?

=_= my school is too wierd not to have anyone to video tape us playing. So that way i can at least find out what i did wrong in my pitches and improve a little more. you know what i mean?

i like the way you drag ur foot. when i drag, my foot ends up being dragged from the front side... -_-

  • @trinitybloodfan101 My mom tapes my pitching. .

    And thanks

  • dude that song has nothin 2 do wit softball its a football theme song for NFL! in the begining

  • @skateboarder2200 Is that all that you got from this whole video??

And actually it is the ESPN theme song..

And ESPN covers all sports... INCLUDING SOFTBALL!!

    Sooo there ya go!

  • dang ur good!....♥

  • @krazyfrog12hearts Thank you so much!!

  • Your Pretty Good, The Only Thing I Noticed Is You Give Your Screwball Away With The Way Your Stride Foot Lands But Hey It's A Hard Pitch To Master And I See Girls Do That When They Play For The Olympic Team. Keep Up The Work.

  • @TreySchlutt Thank you! I will keep that in mind!

  • dayum thats great pitching

  • @sbplaya1 Thanks!

  • the only thing i would have to tell you, is watch your end stance with every diff pitch, the other team will start to catch on, you end a diff way with every type of pitch

  • Hey, Dont let these haters bring you down. Your good girl :)

    ( softballer too :D )

  • @NumbaOneDanca Thank you very much!

  • you dont have good movement. Honestly i dont know why these batters dont bomb you every time.

  • I am very sorry that you feel that way.. However there are plenty of people that would say otherwise...

And if the batters aren't bombing it out every time, maybe there is a reason for that..

    Butttt anyways thanks

    I love your comment.!

It gave me my laugh for the day!!!

  • sick pitching.

  • Thanks??

  • omg she sucks. my g-ma pitches better than her

  • Awe, thanks! Your so sweet :]] I would love to meet your grandma.. Maybe she could give me some tips :]

  • hahah sorry aboutt thee commentt.. thatt was oneee of my friends.. shes rele into softball and being the bestt,, hahaha.. :P

  • i hope you make it big. i'm a softball player too, little league.

  • Thanks! Good luck!!

  • awesome video!

and pitching I'm a pitcher too!

    keep up the good work!!!!

  • She is pretty, I mean it, why not to do a video about how to hold the ball in between fingers?

  • Thanks! Ummm.. Do you mean like how to hold all of the different pitches??

  • Yes, the technical explanation how to hold the ball for each pitch and how to release the ball at the right moment. For not hurting your hand, I play baseball and soccer the most but I think it would be usefull.

  • I will definatly try to get on up sometime in the near future..

I have been wanting to do that for a while actually..

  • Good!!! I am pretty sure it is going to be practical!!!

  • Sweet girl.

  • Thanks!

  • Jennie Finch is my favorite softball player

  • I know.. isnt she great!!

  • how do you throw a screw ball? My favorite position is short stop but i do luv pitching

  • Its hard to explain over text, but I turn my elbow so my elbow goes towards my back, then to the front of my body then out.. lol

I know that isnt very good explaining.. I will try to put up a video, to show how to throw all of my pitches :]

  • Rise balls are impossible for me to hit

  • There are alot of people like that! I love to throw them to people, but then again I like to strike people out too!!! lol

  • rise balls are almost impossible for me to throw. i cant get the release right and right spin.

  • MMmmm... It was one of the harder pitches for me to learn at first too!

  • how fast did you throw in this? and how fast do you throw now?

    ur good

  • Im not sure how fast I threw here, but the last time I was clocked was around Christmas last year, and the highest was 63

  • ur good girl u were only 14 dang ur off the charts im 13 but im not that good this is my forst year

  • Its ok.. It all comes down to practice.. :)

  • wow, you're amazing.

    i'm a pitcher for jv.

i wish i could pitch like you.

  • You're fourteen in this?

    That's amazing!

I pitch in 14u now, but I'm in PA and it's rare to see a pitcher throw that consistently and have that many breaking pitches! You're really good, haha. You definitely deserve the D1 scholarship!

  • ppssshhh...all the boys from my school say, sotball is so easy! How can you strike out? WELL, that's why! Thank you for posting this vid! I am a pitcher, I'm only 13, but my dream is to go to college and play softball...

  • Well Dream BIG!

    It can happen...

besides boys only say that because they are scared..

I would LOVE to face a guy from my school.. I know they would strike out! ALL TALK.. lol

  • yea true that! lol yea i would also LOVE to face em, too! and show em what weve got!

  • haha, yea..we had a game against all the boys from our high school, we won! And we are all 13, and 14..

  • I wish we could play against the boys... They all talk wayyyy to much crap :)

  • your REALLY good my passion is to pitch no matter how i practice i can't find the right form

  • Just keep going! Do your own thing! You'll do great!

  • one of the very best prospect vids out here. Lots of ability for a shortish pitcher. excellent!

  • Thank you!

  • As a former player and umpire I can say with some degree of authority that you possess a great repertoire of pitches that would be a nightmare to face. The only thing I would offer as (constructive) criticism is sometimes your follow through leaves you open to getting a line drive back at you with little chance to catch it. I noticed it mostly on your fastball. From the video it seems like you have good defensive awareness, so just be aware of your hands/balance to make sure you don't get hurt!

  • Thank you~

  • thats kool. good luck lol

  • Her screw ball looks like a curve ball while her curve ball looks like a screw ball...

  • YOu do know what a screw and a curve do right?

A screw goes into a right handed batter and away from a left handed batter...

A curve goes away from a right handed batter and into a left handed one...

Because I am pretty sure that is how they break... But I might be mistaken.... But I dont think that I am.

  • your curve doesn't even curve,. it looks like it's going straight to the glove, just at an angle. ithere isn't any break in it.

  • Maybe that is because I was 14 in this video...

And besides I find that to be TOTAL Bologna...

The reason that I say that is becuase if you just watch the video you will defenatly see the break on the ball.. I mean, I have had comments on here saying GREAT CURVE... So maybe if you would just look at it without trying to be so negative and jsut looking for something NOT positive to say, maybe you can find something good about this video.

I mean it did help me get a D1 scholarship!

  • hey so r u playing softball now?

  • Yes. I am actually going to a tourny tomorrow.

  • simply amazing.

  • thnx!

  • Both feet have to be in contact with the rubber until the delivery of the pitch. In most of the pitching in this video the pitcher is not starting with both feet on the rubber and that gives her an advantage on most of the off speed pitches she is throwing. For example, look at 2 minute 55 second frame illegal and the ump isn't even watching!

  • both feet do not have to be touching the mound in HS softball, for college it does, but not HS

  • Comment removed

  • And it doesnt help with an off speed. The reason that people start with their feet off the rubber is to gain speed because you can push off better that way. Trust me... It really didnt even make that much of a difference, and like crzysoftball17 said. IT IS ONE HUNDRED percecnt legal in High School Ball.

  • i like ur back round

  • Thanks!

  • you pitch so awsome! i ain't even as good as you!

i'm a pitcher and it's my 3rd season playing softball in my park and will try out in sylmar high.

  • ya u do hahaha lol

  • how long did it take u 2 learn how 2 throw all those different types of pitches?

  • kool i would b excited

  • u say yupp alot

  • Yep... LOL

Haha just kidding I know I do.

  • kool

  • r u nervous about playing college ball????

  • No... Im not that nervous... I am more excited!

  • wats the songs in here i like em! and ur an awesomeee pitcher(:

  • Great pitching! Maybe I'll see you in Oklahoma City some day! Keep up the hard work. Your mechanics are graet.

  • Haha yeah... Thanks...

So where are you from?? Oklahoma??

  • kool

  • so like ur going 2 college

  • Yepp.

  • i am a pitcher 2 although not as good as u! :)

  • Haha... Well how old are you?

  • how many girls have u struck out?

  • I have no idea...

    But quite a few (:

  • What school are you going to?

  • I go to high school at Frontier High School now.

I am going to be going to Lipscomb University for college though.

  • Thank you

  • woe.. HEYY...... ur kinda suppost to have both feet on the mound when u start........ ILLEGALNESS.....

pause at 40 seconds. u can't tell me that is legal...

  • Bahaha... thats funny.

That want the rule in high school ball my freshman year...

It is only that way in travel ball.

    Because I live in Oklahoma.

But ya. I havent been called for an illegal pitch for that reason... EVER.

So... No your not supposed to have both feet on the mound in high school ball, if it isnt a rule... do everything you can to get more power..

I just do what I can...

  • not bad probably a good d2 small d1 prospect

  • Yeah... That was the start of my freshman year, and when I was 14.

    I am now a junior and 17.

I am going to a division 1 school.

  • she is my idol. i think she is really good.

  • haha... Thanks!

  • GOOD GOD PITCH FAST !!

  • What!?!?

  • Im sorry I meant to say GOOD GOD YOU PITCH FAST KEEP IT UP !!

  • Haha. Its ok... I was kinda confused...

  • u look good! do u have any coaches looking at u?

  • Yes.

I have commited to Lipscomb University!

    GO BISON!!!

  • the batter @ 1:34 has aweful stands

    and wears no socks??

how are you supposed to slide?!?!

  • hey re shes trying too do a open stance

  • 4:22...subliminal message?

    ha no.

    youre really amazing.

all of your pitches are like, PERFECT.

    i pitch, I'm 15, and a sophomore.

Have any colleges or anybody picked up on you yet?

I really hope you make it far, youre really great. <3

  • I have a question, since you play softabll. If I want to get a scholarship to a University, Will I have a good chance, if I try out for the JV team in my softmore year, then try out for varsity in my Junior and Senior years???

  • Yeah.. but why not try out for varsity this year??

    Always shoot for the highest.

You arre probably good enough for vasity anyways.

But yeah... play as much as you can. Whether it be JV, Varsity, or Travel ball. PLAY PLAY PLAY

    good luck!

  • HAHA. Yeah by brother got ahold of the camera and filmed over some of my game. I didn't even notice that!

    Oh and thank you!

  • Jen, Your skills video still looks great, it's still the best one that I have seen. When you send out your new one, don't forget us back East. Kelly Engman will be pitching for BU tomorrow against BC in a Fall Ball game. I think that I will stop by and watch her pitch. Keep in touch

  • I have made a few recent video, they are on here (youtube). I put some highlights of a high school tournament and a round robin that my club played against some Kansas college teams. I did get a letter and questionnaire from the Boston Terriers. I was pleasantly surprised.

I was surprised that Kelly's team hasn't done better than their record indicated. What's going on there?

  • wow!

    ur a rele good pitcher!

  • the only thing that is a little iffy is that when you throw different pitches your motion is a lot different then your motions for a fastball so the only thing is do not give away what pitch you are going to throw i know its hard cuz of the way your hand has to move but if you just make a little less noticeable then you will be like the greatest pitcher i have seen so far :)

  • i play slowpitch.. and i pitch :D

  • you are so good i am a pitcher too i throw like 53 i am like 12 i am not as fast as you tho

and do pitch for a travel team cuz if you don't then you r certainly good enough

  • damn you are soo good!! and fast!!

  • hahha... thanks so much!

  • no problem

  • Keep working on that screwball, it looks good and not many pitchers can throw a very good screw, but the ones who can dominate it. It also looks like your rise will be very dominating in College ball, it's great you've got movement already.

  • yeah. this video is old though... my curve has came a LONG way!!

    thanks!

  • hi i play on the olathe rockets 12a yeah anyway our 18 gold team played ur team.

  • I pitch but Im so busy that I only have time to pitch in a open legue... I think Im going to play Varsity for pitching.... Im 13 and I dont throw very fast... Only 47 at avredge. I think my best pitch is change up though. What state do you live in?

  • I live in Oklahoma... what about you?

  • Iowa.

  • YOUR AMAZING!!!!!! I want to be like you! The only pitchs I can do (With them being complete strikes most of the time) is the fastball and a change-up rise ball (That's not on purpose. I just do it!) Your great! :D

  • Hahaa... its ok..my pitches sometimes do things they arent supposed to do too!
