  • also, what machines do you run? we have a variety of citizen screw machines. just wondering. our parts look a lot like yours, only most of them are ss, 7075, and brass.

  • @dagomachining I am sorry but we consider this information to be proprietary and we do not publish it.

  • You must perform the machining process while using a water based coolant to keep the material cool and reduce off-gassing.

  • @ConnecticutPlastics yeah, we're using blasocut, i noticed that even after we had cut all that delrin that it ( the smell) still lingered. weird. the percentage is hovering around 10% coolant oil. too much?or add more water?

  • @dagomachining We use absolutely no oil. The problem could be with your feed & speed methods. We get no fumes when machining delrin. We only get off-gassing when we saw it, or anneal it. Here at CT Plastics, we only machine plastics, we never machine metal.

  • has anyone ever passed out from machining delrin? formaldahyde gas? i almost did today, just wonderin
