This is an excellent how to video. I particular like how you choose to mount the soldering iron on a stand (so simple yet so effective). You have given me the confidence to give this a go myself.
Great video. Some additional tips: 1. Put a small bit of heatshrink on the shield wire on Pin1 as over time the twists in the shield wire can touch the other pins - I've had it cause problems in concerts. 2. Plug another connector of the opposite sex onto the plug when you are soldering it. This makes it easier to hold and also gives a little more heat dissipation during soldering. 3. If you can use LEAD solder it gives a bit more impact resistance. The lead is less brittle.
@andrew2004sydney HI Andrew. Thanks very much for the tips. Very Useful information. Can you please contact us via email so we can get some more information from you. we cannot post our email on here but please visit the Pro Audio Stash website for our contact details

Good video, but what's up with the audio of the narration track?

@proaudiostash New MBP's internal speakers...

@proaudiostash The intro & outro music sound fine, but the narration is all bandwidth-limited and tiny sounding, and seems very left-speaker heavy.

Great video, thanks! Would it be "better" to use blue and red as one cable and the other two (white) as another for better conductivity?
