MrTackle micro-step. Was really bad. That kind of kiting hurts you more than helping. You avoid some damage, but lose a TON. You have an attack every 0.86 second. If you attack every like 1.5 you half your damage.

3 gate expand is a normal ass normal build, idk what you guys are on about to be honest. I usually make sure I have more stalkers before the expansion though, and it's safe as houses against a terran. Can hold anything but an all in cheese.

The reason the Protoss' decision looked so funny is because he was meta'gaming a player that wasnt playing standard. 5~6 rax one base, all in for 20 minutes? The Hallucination + blink is a common tactic. There were many times the protoss expected the Terran to just stop attacking (note the time where he started building probes at his natural) and he would get halfway to deploying a counter tactic but the terran would hit with marines again.

He couldnt tech because he had to keep making zealots.

@Trivial0066 That really isn't an excuse though, because Protoss simply failed to adapt to the situation. If a string of marines flowed in constantly, you can assume he's macro-ing heavy with at least 5 barracks. He should have immediately concentrate on hard counters vs mass marines.

That being said, MrTackle could have easily won the game way earlier if he just invested a bit of gas to research stim.

Terran had that won early game, Protoss made a comeback mid game but didn't take advantage.

@eurochencho His warp gate wasn't even that late. It was out at the seven minute mark but he didn't change over to warp gates till the 9:40 mark. It is so much faster to just change the gates over and start warping in. The protoss made me so mad in this game!

Part 2: Microing it back is as effective as blinking back with this amount of stalkers, especially when he had zealot meat shields a lot. I can understand people saying he should get sentries, but at the rate they were streaming in he’d never have time for guardian shield energy, only ff, which would have helped, but perhaps not as much as having an extra stalker?

Part 1: In the Protoss’ defence once he had blink it was kind of a useless upgrade for the most part. Yes, he should have gotten charge, or dt out faster,, but when he actually had the blink he never had more than 3-4 stalkers, and blinking one back just means the marines have less targets to hit.
