Just so you know, in the mother brain fight the second time, its officially the hyper beam, if you pause the game, it says so. the death beam is the same as the murder beam i think, and it's a glitch that has all the beams, plasma included, and its a black shot that glitches the game and constantly damages whatever it shot, including mother brain if you shoot it, but, its very fragile, fire it wrong, and it crashes the game. I used it once, had to get super metroid again for Wii. :D

mother brain is basically the leader of the space pirates and Ridley is the commander of em, the metroid that helps u was the one from metroid 2(the previous game), it mistakes u for the mom when it hatches and it was captured in super metroid, and im guessin it was returnin the favor so to speak
