@yosoydame and dirty energy is not more taxes? who pays to protect the world wide oil shipping lines? US tax payers. Who paid to protect the oil supply from kuwait? It was called the gulf war and the answer is US tax payers. Who pays in terms of health care costs because the air is dirty and environment is polluted? US tax payers. Who pays because the fishing industry is now dead in the gulf? Not the oil companies, that's for sure. And you wanna talk about taxes? Exxon Mobile pays none in USA.

Electricity was made to be free originally until someone found a way to charge for it. health care from dirty air and environment is a bullcrap argument. You know people can control what they choose to breathe. I wouldn't move to a place where i couldn't breathe :P

@yosoydame Oil companies did not screw up. They did exactly what they wanted to do. Since there is no government regulation in place to make sure the oil companies do not cut corners on safety, they have no reason not to cut corners on safety. You think they will do the right thing by choice? hahahaha! The same thing that happened in the Gulf happened to our economy. Because of a lack of regulation Wall Street, Big Oil etc are taking huge risks with our well being. And huge risks often go bust

@yosoydame The great depression was caused by the same things that happened now. Greedy out of control financial system taking too many risks. From 1933 until the 2000's we had regulation in place to prevent a great depression, and it worked. And as soon as repubs removed it, we got another great depression. And I agree that this financial reform bill solves NOTHING. There will be a great recession and another, and another...Until we put in some real regulation in place.

I'm calling the recession really soon, and it may start to slow down as obama leaves office... but he's kept unemployment above 7% since he's been in office. @0TheCriminals0 What can we do? The Great Depression has been coming since Ronald Reagan. Especially since GOP and Clinton removed the Glass Steagall act in 1999. They removed ALL regulation that was put in place in 1933 that prevented a great depression for 7 decades. So what can we do? I don't know, but anyone with a brain saw this coming 15 years ago.
