No, indoor RC Choppers rely on infra-red signals sent from the controller to the receiver in the Heli, when a stray infra-red beam hits the receiver, the Chopper gets all confused and dies.

It is only a laser but that type of rc copter is a battle one where the engine stops if a laser hits a certian point

my mini rc copter is just for flying, not battle but the infrared rays from sunlight knock it out of the sky, or sometimes make it spin the rotors when it is not being controlled, my helicopter is the same design but with different colors.

yes, infrared waves are a form of light that give off heat, my helicopter uses an infrared remote so the helicopter is sensitive to the rays.

the machine gun "shoots down" infared controlled aircraft cuz it jams the ir signal from the controller. and i guess you can use the rockets to shoot down a normal rc craft.
