Hey Jeff, I'm thinking about getting this plane. How is the durability of it? Any problems with it so far? I'm having a hard time choosing between this or the hobbyzone champ.

@benadrylp I don't fly mine very often, but when I do, I have a blast with it. I haven't had any problems with it to speak of....had to superglue the tail once after it got hit by the prop of another airplane.

@electricrc68 Sure, if there's very little or no wind. I have flown mine in my back yard several times.

hey jeff, i was wondering if this is a good plane and if it flys well im thinking about buying one since there so cheap, i also want to teach my little brother to fly and i dont want to ruin a 200 dollar plane or more please respond

@pman790 It's a good plane and it flies pretty well, but like any other airplane, if you crash it it will break.

They just made an Albatros Micro for the same price. Pretty neat and great price!

Just an update. Hobbytown USA now has these on sale for $51.00! My 12 year old son got one (his first real R/C plane... AirHogs don't count). It has been a great experience flying this in our neighborhood. Everyone loves it, and it can even handle a little wind as long as you plan ahead. Highly recommended!

just got it fixed by the guys at the shop i bought it. any last tips before flying???

so lets say im holding and turn it on to run. the prop starts to spin and then flies off and wont stay on. havent even flown it. what should i do.

@JoeO1992 Either try Amazing Goop, (but don't get it on the foam as it will melt) or take it back to wherever you purchased it from if there is absolutely no damage to the airplane itself and exchange it for a different one. Good Luck!

@JoeO1992 It flies pretty fast indoors, but on a calm day it flies excellent outdoors as well.

GREAT video! I ordered one, and it's supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I didn't realize that it has so much power. At first, I thought that you sped up the video during editing. Since it has so much power, I'm going to try rigging up floats and flying it on the water... that is, unless my nephew destroys it before I get the chance!

@coleandkylevids mine does that too at anything less than full throttle. I'm not sure why that is, but I'm not really worried about it. It flies great.

@coleandkylevids Try taking some needle nose plyers and gently pulling the propeller out from the plane. Mine was doing this and the little pition actually popped off and wouldn't work. It made that noise before it did.

Dave and I might fly the J-3 Cub and the Playmate simultaneously sometime, but I don't think a 'dogfight' with the two would be a very good idea. lol
