Gene Littler Swing

As a late 60's teen I saw Gene L. on a weekly US golf program. I marvelled at how his slow, well timed swing got distance and accuracy.

I occasionally got both, rarely together.

I committed Littler's swing to a mental video, which I mentally replayed as I hit each shot.

Over 18 mths h'cap fell 24 to 8. Won a club c'ship.

Dad drove me so hard I loathed golf and gave it away.

I play occasionally now & always see that mental video during each shot.

Loved to watch him at the GGO. Swing I always wanted but never got there.

At beginning of video, looks like a young Jack Nicklaus standing behind Littler.

Don't kid yourself--a lot more speed in that swing through impact than it looks like (same for Al Geiberger). Yeah, he's swinging well within itself, but he could still move it out there well enough to make a living against guys like Nicklaus.

I've got a tip from a 'youtuber friend' about this golf player. I had never heared about him before. Very nice and 'comfortable' swing. Who is this man? Please inform.

His name is Gene Littler and was a very underrated player. His nickname was "Gene the Machine" because his swing looked so automatic.

Beautiful simple swing. Perfect model for your average golfer as we can't all be Tiger Woods. Perfect set up and balance.
