  • who said old men weren't fast? hist, this guy is like a ninja, I swear he's like, a secret ninja assassin.

  • There are 2 types of Wing Chun. Base on the conditioning methods that you adopt, your Wing Chun will change accordingly. The 2 types of Wing Chun are: Sticky Type and Striking Type.Based on my observation, the Striking Type (Chi-Sau) is the strongest one. The reason why it strikes instead of stick is because the speed is too fast for hands to stick together. Most of China syllabuses are also of this style. in this video. Yip Chun's probably belongs to the Striking Chi-Sau.

  • Always Rawcliffe who is going to atack and to show off, Ip chun is doing great.

  • Ip Chun's arms look like being pressed and controlled by Rawcliff. Yet, this is the famous Wing Chun's soft punch. This form allows for longer distance of unnoticeable muscle contraction, thus a larger impact when the opponent is hit. It looks soft, but it hurts you harder.

  • Having spent a lot of time for video of Ip chun, he is only a man with his famous father' name and , in fact, does not know how to perform " principle of wing chun". Furthermore, he only can practise his wing chun form to be similar as wing chun execrise. If you go through another style of wing chun in China, I guess that they are much better than his style . At least , they know how to use power from their waist and horse strand is more stable than him.

  • Hey, why you hurt the old man? Fuck off

  • @nicky666

dude...the old man is a wing chun master, he has many disciples in hong kong, he has ppl coming form all ova the world just to learn wing chun from him

  • I think Ip Chun is a great master at this point for reasons beyond physical abilities. Whether people are able or not to land a hit on him means nothing. A martial arts master is not someone who is invincible, rather someone who is humble and love the art.

  • more like grand-pa

  • in WC or WT if u see one opponent trying to attack more than defend, usually the defender is the better martial artist as the attacker will just try blitz the defender with pace, no disrespect to that rawcliffe dude.

  • why doesnt ip chun hit more!!!! and then leave himself open for a trap, why does he do this, please dont say he does this to trick his opponent you know that shit talk.

  • it is training exercise not show off stuff, and the old man needs to save his energy.

  • it takes an unbelievable amount of skill to mainly defend, without ny aggressive movement.

Also, he doesnt leave himself open for traps if he knows they may be coming.

This video, for those who know what to look for, is an amazing example of Grandmaster Ip Chun's ability.

  • Is Gary Lam a good one or a bad one?

  • Gary Lam seems to concentrate on applying Wing Chun to situations in his youtube vids more than ChiSao.

  • whoa.. ease up turbo.... he is just an old man..

  • I've never seen anyone land a hit on either of these two, I wish this video was longer, gotta see more of them playing chi sau. Will continue sifting through youtube in the morning methinks.

  • I think Mofotox is unhappy cos it doesn't 'go to ground' for 10 minutes or have enough hay makers in the vid.

  • I've heard a story that when Ip Chun does CS he sometimes smokes a pipe, and that he accidentally spills hot ashes on your arms to gain the upper hand.

It's those bong sau's...but who are we to argue with a grandmaster...

  • There is a whole bunch of hypocrisies from WSL as well, mind you. His pole and knife forms are bogus and suck ass big time! =) But he was also a 'grandmaster'.......

  • Actually I quite like his knife form, it looks much more functional that the origional Ip man version, but who cares? At the end of the day it's all about the concepts, not the forms themselves

Actually scrap that, it's all about the fight.

  • Lets see a few videos of your wing chun?

  • This is yet another proof of how shitty Ip Chun's Chi Sao is! Not only their (including Shaun Raw-meat) movements are so choppy, lacking fluidity, but so suicidal! Freeze frame at 0:16 sec, why in the world would Ip Chun volunteer his right hand under the entanglement like that? What is the 'principle' behind that, one might ask? Ip Chun crosses hands all the time like that and is as shitty a CS as can be. Anyone with good skill would lock both his hands and render him helpless! Get REAL!

  • you cock

  • actually he could lap at that moment

  • HAHAHAHA have you ever chi sau'd with him???

he is setting up the trap for you to walk into and he will make you look like a little boy. Man have some respect he was playing chi sau when you were a twinkle in your mothers eye looool

  • @mofotox may i ask, which lineage are you?

  • @intirayami I'm claiming no lineage as lineage! Brah ha ha ha!
