the reason why it sounded so horrible was the 2 pocket trumpets. thats not its range and they are very hard to tune to a regular trumpet. and they are not that easy to play you have to use a lot more air than you would with a normal trumpet.

While a good effort, a bit of practice never hurt anyone. Especially the part you crack in twice. and the end, was just under the pitch it was PAINFUL! Play our countries anthem with pride, and next time spend a good 20 minutes warming up your horns

The 1st and 3rd part players did a great job but, the 2nd harmony part guy was double buzzing and cracking a lot of notes. It was probably because of nervousness. I don't really blame him. I did that my first time playing the national anthem solo in front of a huge crowd. The only other thing is that the 1st player could clean up that hih C near the end a little bit!!

pocket trumpet= fail , as you can hear, they have awful tone. playing in tune is hard enough as it is on a trumpet, dont make it harder by playing on a joke toy trumpet.

unless you're extremely good at playing in tune i wouldn't play on a pocket trumpet very often, especially two at once, especially for a song that represents out country. Pocket trumpets are fun, but extremely hard to play in tune.
