its an ion not an ion xe there is not a big difference the ion is just more of a paine to maintain with the ion xe u can maintain the bolt buy taking the bolt out of the back that ion cant do that. i have an ion xe and its a pretty good gun

They're basically the same, but the XE has a bolt out the back body. This is a normal Ion. Not an XE. So I'd get an XE. But if you're buying new, I wouldn't get either.

The on/off asa doesnt really do the job because it doesnt bleed. it only controlls when u wanta air up ur gun

it doesnt change anything. but when u screw ur tank in, the tank will not actually start giving air until u turn the asa on. and when ur done it bleeds ur gun from the air, so tht u can take everything apart witout it shooting everywhere.

its the bore size.....there are different sized paintballs for different brands and different levels of play .693 and .689 are the most common b/c they are around the middle of the bore sizes

inserts change the size of the bore. and the bore is the back of a 2 piece barrel. and a .693 is a size of a insert that you can get.

u would want to start using a spyder or an ion. so u can start getting used to cleaning the gun and taking care of the gun before u buy somthing u would use for a long time. and if people say "buy a 1,248 dollar droid ul really like it!" dont do it. its a really bad idea and then when it breaks u just wasted ur kids college money
