This is my son. It's really his first time playing real drums. He has never played on electronic drums. His only drum experience before this video was on rock band drums. He learned a lot from them. He's much better now playing "soft" as you say. He has learned to play guitar and keyboard and bass also--self taught. He's just a natural I guess. He certainly didn't get it from me : )
not bad i guess. but not worth the holy sh!t comments lol. hes just smashing. believe me some soft rythms are even harder. im not negative. hes great for a beginner
@mawacaca1 Yeah ur right. He's really good and there are soft beats that r much harder. I've been teaching myself for a year and I'm really into it, but my snare and hi hat are bad. Can someone send me a message about some good ones that don't cost much that I could get? Right now I have a world tour. Very begginer but good.

Read the description, it says: first time playing real drums. Maybe he played 1 or 2 years on electronic ones.
