  • Mike Bloomfield first and best white blues guitarist

  • I love BB's suit...classic...it looks like he's wearing polyester clam-diggers...

  • Comment removed

  • Buddy Guy and B.B R the nicest people !!!!

  • @TrendyhendyPD: type in "buddy guy festival express" on youtube

  • I have met them both and I'll say . . . 2 of the nicest, and kindest, people that one could ever meet !! May God Bless Them!

  • It is music, they play, we listen. If you don't like it, don't listen. That it really.

  • @matttylove2 You sure know your musical history you dumb fucking asshole.

  • @matttylove2 " its time for your medication,Mr. Love 2."

  • Has anyone ever seen Buddy Guy and Lovie Smith in the same place at the same time.

  • @hungro2 Im pretty sure Lovie Smith is just his alter ego, What an incredibly gifted person, blues guitarist and NFL coach.

  • Buddy is great, jimmi is great and so is KING. Clapton is GOD!!! Everybody who says different should listen 2 The 3 legends above. 2 of them would say the same. You don't have 2 believe me look it up on you tube : ))

  • @53141981 jimi was better, even clapton said it

  • Jimmi learned from Buddy and Muddy Waters. Buddy is the player/performer/showman of the century!

  • man, this guy is so humble for a scale of person Clapton trying to match

  • @Lizzardpeople I know. And I wasnt the one who said he said it in the first place. I dont know who did. This new youtube quote system is a bit confusing.

  • And you dont know what you're talking about. Misinformed idiot. He's done loads for blacks: drug re-hab centres, donations to Africa. And has even dated black models. So what you ever done for them? Look up and research instead of listening to white whiggas and professional anti racists like Jerry Dammers. Clapton loves black people and black people love Clapton. What he said was a political truth and for the time made sound sense. It still makes sound sense.

  • eric clapton is very overrated. Don't you agree? I have NEVER understood why people think he's so freaking good

  • @krollaostmedburger

Yeah, everyone's tone deaf except you.

  • @rubysson57 exactly...

  • @krollaostmedburger clapton is good. theyre all good. theyre all legends.

  • @Lizzardpeople I hope this isnt true

  • MAN, I CAN HEAR THESE GUYS TALK FOREVER!

  • Buddy Guy recounts the 60s: 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969

  • Those two guys influence, helped build Eric Clapton as one of the best ever blues players, and are close friends of EC.

  • I just got rid of sirius. The classic soul channel has the same old stuff like What's Goin' On and Barry White's greatest hits. Stuff we all heard a million times. They advertise Tom Petty's show (which is great) and sometimes it's not on at the times they advertise WTF? The political talk radio is the same as commercial radio including commercials!!! Little Steven's show has too many crappy new punk bands. ROSIE O'DONNELL??? MARTHA STEWART??? OPRAH?? FUCK THAT!!!

  • Now this.... is what i'm looking for.

  • XM bluesville was waaay better than Sirius version. But all in all its better to have this than none. Thanks Buesville

  • I would really like to see conversations (like this one) that are between such beautiful and culturally-rich individuals like Buddy Guy and BB King to make there way into some safe, public archive where all the gifts and vicarious joy they bring could be accessed as cultural cache.

But first I'd like more of these conversations. Anyone know where there might be more of the recordings of BB King's Sirius show? (Beyond the three or so I've found on youtube that is)

  • racism ist terrible but blues its beautiful

  • buddy guy great guitarist and person

  • @cs808 They're both legends.

  • Great vid... anything with BG (and BB, of course) is a home run, in my opinion. More, more, more!!! I also think Blues 74 was much better than the Bluesville is... Blues 74 was more old timey blues that I love listening to. Miss Bonamassa and the Chess show... but Bluesville is still good... better than the blues stations here in Sacramento (there are none!!!)!

  • Bluesville really, really, sucks compared to the old Sirius 74. Sirius 74 is all I used to listen to now days I can hardly stomach whats playing. If they keep this up they should rename it hip-hop/R&B/Bluesville.

  • I agree - bluesville does suck. I liked the old channel much better. I understand that they're trying to play contemporary stuff, but why aren't they playing the good contemporary stuff?Plus, you'll hardly ever hear those great blues songs from the 40s, 50s or even 60s when lets face it blues was at its best.

  • I love Bluesville and always thought that it was better than Sirius. Maybe it depends on which one you listened to first. I don't think the merger hurt the blues component of satellite radio. I love stories about how blues so influenced all the good music of the sixties and beyond.

  • "Bluesville" is okay but.... Before the merger, Sirius had the better Blues channel. It hurt my heart that it didn't make the merger.

  • I agree with you 100%!!! Sirius Blues was far better than Bluesville.

  • I also agree.

  • I've been listening to Bluesville a lot more lately... one of the great secrets of satellite radio!

  • I love Buddy Guy's manner. He's honest to the core, and he's naturally very funny. And he can play the paint off a guitar.

  • @senator9870 Lovely comment. Put a smile on my face.

  • @senator9870 GOT TO SEE HIM A FEW YEARS AGO AND HE WALKED THROUGH THE CROWD AND LET US TOUCH HIS GUITAR. PRETTY DAMN INCREDIBLE. GARY BUSEY WAS THERE BUYING DRINKS FOR EVERYONE . DAMN FUNNY AND A DAMN GOOD SHOW- STUBBS- AUSTIN,TX!!

  • Awesome, How long ago was this?

  • We recorded this about a month ago, when they were on tour together. We used it for three shows as part of "You And Me With B.B. King

  • great

  • Best three hours on Bluesville. Thank you for posting and hope there are more video bites from this historic interview.
