  • if i start with everything in the age of 19 is this much too late?

  • @J1mKn0pf Never too late. I've done combat sports since I was 3 and I'm still a beginner in my opinion. A tip of advice, work out a lot when you start any combat sport. I do more than 3 hours of training a day.

  • My dad made me start at the age of 4 because his been boxing for 29 years his been Australian chap 1 time and N.T Chap 3 times so i have a pretty good trainer and i have one 4 championships but now some of my friends have wanted him to train them my friends and I are at the ages 13-14 and some of them have become very good in only a few months the latest you should start is maybe 14? cause later on if u start it will be hard for you cause you might be figting fighters with years of experience.

  • im 15 is that a good age to start?

  • im 26 and i just startet......always follow your dreams and don´t let anybody tell you, that you can´t do it.......show them, that your the best !

  • is 13 a good age to start?

  • Never too late to start. I didn't until I was 18, now that I'm 21 I'm training with pros from all over and soon to go pro myself. If you live the sport just give it your all. You can't go wrong

  • Im 18 just started few months ago its not a big deal

  • is it too late to start at 22 years old

  • @MrROCKERfromHELL it is never to late !!! show them what you got

  • You can turn proffesional at 17

  • any age under 18 is good

  • Im 15 IV been boxing for 4 years

  • I'm 12.

    Fuck.

    Oh well.

    Bring on the lightweight division.

  • @skillz7854 i feel the same way, but its just comentment and really wanting it. i dont wana be a pro or anything but just tell ppl i was pretty good at beating the shit out of ppl. im a compitative swimmer and iv done that for years but i hate it now so im just starting to box.

  • I'm 18 and I want to start boxing and hopefully become professional. The only downside is a bout boxing is taking so much shots to the head you loose a lot of brain cells

  • Just got my punch bag for home training being its my 1st time It cut my hands up I have gloves but they way too big any advice what I should do?

  • @Danielxxxx23 buy some bag gloves? :)

  • @Danielxxxx23 Keep on boxing.. so what if u cut ur hand up lol, you punch with your knuckles

  • im turning 16 next moth is it too late?

  • @TAPOUTacb21 NOO!! it is only too late if you want to turn pro, if not there is no too late -.-

  • Carl Forch turned pro at 25, look at him now!!!!!!!!! Follow your dreams.

  • im 20 and im thinking about starting my boxing now and go pro just like sergio martinez did

  • rocky marciano started boxing at 25.

Im 21 now, wanted to box for years and years. Did a little bit of it when i was much younger and that was it.

Im gonna get back in to it asap

  • well, mostly alot of boxers started boxing at age 13 or 14

  • im 18 years old. is that too late to start boxing?

  • @2pacalypse25 no its not to late because im 20 and i trying to start boxing now

  • @2pacalypse25 rocky started at 25 i dont think so

  • @misfits12o turned pro at 25 he had some amateur fights before anyway you put it he didnt start as a teen

  • Is 15 too old to start?? Im 5'7 and weigh 60 kilograms, I play alot of basketball but I'm not that muscular. I play point guard I don't have much mass and force.

  • I start boxing from 6 and I am now 15 I was not good that time .I was strong I think so but now when I fight I really feel pity while beating ..

    what to do for it

  • Cool I started at 10 I'm really strong and fast now if I could shrink my height and weight ( 5'8" still 10 )

  • im 27 and have been considering joining a fight club, but i think im too old for it...meh.I woulda loved to start early...yur a friggin sponge taking in information when yur younger.

  • ippo!

  • I'm no racist I have White friends.. I said whites can't be GOOD champs... Name 10 legendary White heavyweights ... Don't worry I got until 2012

  • @Squeaky4CC Wladimir Klitschko, Vitali Klitschko, rocky marciano, primo carnera, fitzsimmons, jack dempsey, tommy morrison, nikolai valuev, francois botha, Ray Mancini.

it was a lot harder then i thought though.. o.O

  • White Ppl can't be good heavyweight champs ... Blacks only

  • @Squeaky4CC

More than ethnicity, body type is what matters. The Klitschkos are white and look at them bastards doing their thang.

  • @Squeaky4CC What an idiotic comment! Max Schmeling, Gene Tunney, Jack Dempsey, Rocky Marciano, the Klitschko's just to name a few ALL of which not only good white heavyweights but all time greats!

  • @Squeaky4CC Wow get the hell out of here you racist bastard.

  • @Squeaky4CC pretty ignorant really, 2 heavyweight champs at the moment are white?

  • @devlin604 The guy has a point. No real good white HW. And Klitcs are European, I think Squeaky means American boxers. Only good white HW boxer I know was Tommy Morrison and he was more of a B-Ranked fighter anyway.

  • @Squeaky4CC You're a tard.

  • 22 here I guess I'll spar my friends for street fights I guess ... Guess that's out the windoe

  • @YungGBone124127134 there are boxing gyms everywhere for 18 year olds u just got to look on the internet type in boxing gyms in whatever state you live in i couldnt tell if that was a question or sarcasm?

  • @TheUltimateBoxer Gyms aren't free?

  • boxing is about courage its about heart i just became 17 i walked in the gym 2 months ago and i know i will be something big later on in my life because i want it because i hate my opponent and want to litteraly tear his head of .

ill practice till i perfect the peek a boo style

  • @inforcerer i wish you luck in boxing im 16 now an i wanna start boxing this summer or next summer and we are still young and with much determination we can conquer the world!bye

  • @inforcerer nice bro

  • i'm 14 and going to become a pro boxer. the way i think of it is: i weigh 55 kilo. that means i'm half way. ;)

i train every day. Mohammed Ali said: I hated every minute of training, but I said, "Don't quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.

i like the training. i guess that means i can be the best if i do my best.

  • @jordodudeful your only going to "like" the training for a certain amount of time, after that you will get bored and hate it.. but whatever, i loved sparring, everything else was boring.. i trained Muy thai & MMA though, getting into boxing soon.

  • i'm 20 so I guess it's to late for me :(

  • 0:53 lol the trainers actually look like that?

  • @zedio369 ...I have only seen one fit trainer in all of my life. For some reason boxing trainers are always gits!

  • @zedio369

    made me laugh. nice 1

  • @zedio369 ACTUALLY they used to box but then when they probably broke both of their legs had a lot of hip surgeries(making fun of the fact that he's old). Its pretty much the same with soccer trainers except they stay fit..

  • i think the best is when you can start working out, like 14

  • yea guys start whenever because boxing is how much you put into it get running do ab work and be ready to work when you go into the gym you can start at any age

  • @TheUltimateBoxer WHERE IS THERE BOXING GYMS FOR 18 YEAR OLDS?

  • i'm 17 years old.is it good age to start boxing and become champion or is too late?

  • I'm 14 and am considering boxing. I'm very agile 5'8, and 101lbs. I'm a scrawny kid but I swim and i know my muscles will develop. Is it too late for me to start boxing?

  • im 14 how many ppl think its to late for me???? thumbs up if its to late cuz i need to kno thxx...

  • rocky marciano faught his first professional fight when he was around 24...

    he was 49/49 with 43 KO's.

    So its all about HEART!

  • lol that doesent mean anything..Alistair overeem started with 15 years and after 7 years he came in pride fc..now he is champion in 3 organisations.

  • yeah ippo start! 17 miyata 10 or 13 IPPO WIN :P!

  • i'm 54 is it too late for me?

  • @fileqx to late to be champion.. but not to be a good boxer

  • @fileqx It's never to late to get our butts kicked! LOL I'm 35 and I'm about to sign up for this torment.I'm about to get divorced and my husband would never let me do anything like this,so y'all know it's the first thing I'm gonna do.LOL

  • oh ya 13 and doing soon

  • the younger the better i feel

  • i started at 10 :P

  • @jakerocker456 started at 12 :)

  • wat if i start as 14 years or 15 years old is that still a good age to start boxing and will i also become a pro as well?

  • @vergilandnero ...There's no guarantee to becoming a pro. But yeah, any age. I'm 16 and planning on starting again soon.

  • that doesnt matter wen u really want somethn u can do it...chavez started boxin wen he was 16

  • Marciano started at 25.

  • @Dalelnator360 , you said exactly what i was gonna:L im 13 and i really wanna learn even though i dont go gym..

  • Im 13 im starting to look into boxing i have good strength don't go to the gym or anything but i do weights allot. Can you just start boxing training straight away or do you have to do any other training or whatever before it?

  • @DaleInator360 Weights won't help at all. Specially at your age, stop doing them. What you want to do is run 2-4 miles everyday. Get yourself a good skipping rope and medicine ball for your conditioning. Start doing push-ups and chin-ups this will help you be able to support your own weight meaning you can create more power than with the heavyhands that weights give you. And start going to a gym quickly. But, you need to be dedicated and watcch alot of boxing.

  • @DaleInator360 Don't do heavy weights. Light weights and high reps are ok, but, at your age, you should focus more on bodyweight exercises (eg. push-ups, dips, etc.) and calisthenics.

  • @evilduks I dont know about that, Tyson trained like a genuine powerlifter. Ali didn't lift any weights at all, but i still think for a heavyweight who's looking to put more power behind your shot, lifting heavyweights is essential. You can only do so much with your technique alone, adding strength behind it improves the power. You could say it slows you, and that has been the opinion in boxing for years now, but many would disagree.

  • @The420shredhead That may be true, but too much weight too early can cause damage to the bones, at 13 the best thing to do is build a good base to build on later.

  • @DaleInator360 if your 13 concentrate on school, especially english... but seriously start whenever you feel like you'll be able to stay dedicated to it and not give up after a few months

  • I'm 15 , quit skating too start boxing .....I'm really dedicated and have what it takes.

  • rockywas 60! said all i havet t say!

  • It's never to late. Current rank 3 Pound for Pound Champion Sergio Gabriel Martinez walked into a gym at 20 years old and started his professional career 2 years later.

Boxing isn't about age, it's about heart! *que 80's motivational music*

  • @xXTitoman66Xx .... we aren't talking about the odd-ball guy who is just a freak of nature. Some guys really just can fight. But for everyone else the starting date should be before you are 13, at least. That was you get used to the fight game and you grow into the sport with guys who may be your same age or a little older-- gives more confidence!

  • @xXTitoman66Xx hey i was thinking when i should start boxing i am now 14 i thought that was a bad start so i was going to do it but this comment inspired me your right it does take heart thank you very much ;)

  • Started when I was 16... honestly it's not even the individual I think it's up to the gym and more importantly the coaches. My coach made the younger kids do more technique and less exercise because they wouldnt build muscle as quickly but made us older 'kids' do more exercise than technique. No matter how long you do it for, it's very much age centered. I was beating 10 year boxers in my second year. I've been beaten by a 1 year boer who was 15 when i was 17. Its not individual.

  • i strted boxing awile ago ma cuzin trains me.

  • @italianmob23 someone should teach you english too.

  • @hedkandi999 dont be harsh my friend

  • at the end there, wtf was that? worst technique ever.

  • I'm 12 years old AND WHAT IS THIS.

    u mad?

  • LoL. i dont go to a gym or anything but my arms make me look like i do because since i was 11 ive watched youtube "Basic boxing workout" vids lol. im 18 now u think i can join?

  • im 12 and my uncle is a good boxer and he trains me

  • No age is to the person how Strong Will the person have i am 20 and i have just now not too late

  • @gurjotSinghJethol thanks man you give me courage because and I want to become professional even if I am late too

  • There's a 25 year old that started boxing for health and ended up becoming the champion at 30 and defended the title until 35. But I definitely think that starting at a younger age is better.

  • i just turned 15 and im starting now i think i could be a good boxer because im 6' 1" and growin and 180lbs but im not fast on my feet are there any drills i could try that could help me?

  • @limeheadrickey - LOL- Being 6' 1" and weighing 180 pounds is no indication that you will be a good boxer.LOL! It's not about the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog, AFTER you've trained properly.

  • @Solowizard i was trying to infer about my advantage of reach, but ya your right

  • @limeheadrickey - Yeah I hear you, but even with a reach advantage it's not a done deal. Look at what happened in that recent fight to Paul Williams. This guy (a superwelterweight/junior middleweight) has a reach advantage over Heavyweight Champ Vitali Klitchko, but he was knocked out by Sergio Martinez because he didn't use it.

  • @bluegama500 lol bro i get chicks and im not fat man like i could just lose a bit of weight but im not like fat

  • @razvanovicio lol ok whatever you say. I'm 17 and I weigh 66kg and even I am a tiny bit overweight. Serriously, you ARE fat, don't be in denial about it, just accept it.

I highly doubt you have 90kg or muscle. Flabby.

Again, sorry but I couldn't help but to say that :(.

  • @razvanovicio I have this condition where if I see someone I have an urge to insults them in a hilarious manner. Like if I see a fat person I feel like calling them fat, or if I see a midget I feel like looking straight ahead(above them) when I talk to them.

I always have an urge to hilariously own someone.

  • @bluegama500 that wasnt hilarious at all and i dont feel owned at all.

  • @razvanovicio lol ok

  • im 15 and im 183 cm tall.... i,ve only boxed for 6 month,,s but i would say that my age is perfect to begin boxing...... but clearly mr. expertvillage knows better and thinks its 8-10 years of age

  • is boxing good to increase my cardio or lose some weight? im 14, im about 185 cm tall (6'1) and i weigh 200 lbs, and im packed on muscles, but im a bit chubby and i need more cardio fro basketball

  • @razvanovicio Boxing is awesome cardio.

  • I'm Asian 170cm tall and I'm fat well not that fat but chubby.. Can I box and become a good boxer?.

  • @deokha well if butterbean can make a career with his size, why can't you and besides look at Pac-man hes 5'6, all you need is dedication and a strong will

  • Yeah start from 8 and get a brain tumor when your 18

  • Yeah you will probably have a reach advantage

  • i'm 15 and i'm 6"2 and i'm pretty skinny, would i be a good boxer or would i have good advantages?

  • @extreemjase well since your tall but you are skinny that is kind of a disadvantage because lightweight boxers throw puches like crazy and they like to stay close to you and its bad for you becasue they will have more shots at your body but what i would do is build up more muscle so you can join heavyweight boxing with the big guys

  • @extreemjase doesnt matter wut ur body type is. just train. and it will work out for u however u decide to. u'll always find a way to fight that fits ur body type. i did. i weigh almost 200 but im 5'7 better beelive i get close and hit that body.

  • @extreemjase hmmmm you will have reach advantage, but you will have to defend your body more

  • @extreemjase great advantage

  • @extreemjase well if ur that tall u would probably be good at boxing on the outside....... and u always have and advantage of height..... but since ur skinny u probably want to protect ur body more...... my opinion is that u train ur muscle,s (body mass) or somthing like that! ! and then u fight heavyweight! ! ! beacause i dont think u will have a chance right now to fight smaller faster guys......

  • @LyallJardine, He didn't say you HAVE to be 8, or 10 to start boxing. He simply said 8-10 is a good age to start.

    .

"It's amazing how people don't listen to what's actually being said, but instead, hear what they want to hear."

  • its good to start anything at a young age because your brain absorbs knoledge faster

  • @LyallJardine

dude he said its a good age to start out it gives you the best chances to get far in boxing if you start out as a kid. that said you can start whenever you want. countless champs started in their mid 20s so it doesnt matter

  • i really wanna learn boxing but there are only like 3 boxing gyms in singapore and they are all hellishly far away

  • 17 year old champion Wilfredo Benitez

  • @LyallJardine he means if u want to go pro u start at the age of 8 or 10 because its harder to get there if u start at the age of 18+ unless your a gifted fighter or like he said it matters the time you put it in

  • trying to find boxing classes in surrey but cant

if you now any can you please tell me

  • @StarWarsGangsta97 this might be alittle late but umm you should try mma most mma classes teach boxxing to plus its good to learn everything but if you like boxing and thats your thing then go for it.

  • @StarWarsGangsta97 Surrey canada? Eh i used to live there. I couldnt find one either.

  • I started when a was 9 am now 16 still loving it can't wait to get into the pro fighting

  • Im 13. I started yesterday haha. Getting my own hsndwraps and gloves today

  • @wowdeathangell i just turned 14 im starting soon as some one around my age would you reomend boxing at our age?

  • training young makes boxing 2nd nature.... ex. chinese kids using abacus can do 3 digit calculations mentally bcuz they train at young age...

some people train later on and are better than those who train early simply because they have it in them and are natural at it. just like u cant teach someone to sing no matter how young u start them

  • Yeah i heard Nate Campbell started when he was 25

  • @timaTxx he dident said that u cant start after age 10,he says its better to start at 10,but u can even start at 22,the thing is that the 10 years old kid will have a long experience even if he hasnt started fighting profesionally.he would be raised to be a boxer lol.

  • no i say about 16 is so then u start body building

  • im 18...is it to late to start...?

  • @BSully1992 Nope, It's better to start when your 17 or onwards. I fought someone who done boxing for 7 years and I took him out in the 1st round and I only done Boxing for 2 years when I turned 17.

  • @BSully1992 no its never 2 late as long as you have the drive and disipline

  • My Pop put me in boxing when I was 6yrs old

  • I'm 14 I'm try to start this summer I love boxing I see great fighters on t.v and I love seeing them throw combos

  • @XXKillaGioXX Im 14 too and imma start baxing this summer too (:

  • Im 15,16 in july...So is that to late?

  • @LyallJardine

i agree depending on the ability matters sometimes.

    trver started at 22.

  • any age is good

  • i am 17/...is it to late

  • @mikedjmix

Of course not, but you will have a bit of trouble if you're going to pro boxing which I don't really recommend if you do not have a normal education to back you up, in case something will happen to you in the ring.

  • im 22 ... 23 in may and i started boxing at 16 . after leaving school cus i used to get bullied at college .. i think that's what made me push myself more . and my trainer is happy for me from what i done. hopefully i might do a antonio tarver lol (28-29 pro) .. depends if im ready for 2012 Olympics or 2016 .. lol its all about dedication , dedication and dictation. without dedication .. your not a boxer. u have to practise it as a lifestyle but its HARD!!! U just have to believe in urself

  • Good for you

  • @TheRey4you hey dude id like to talk to you..im 19 right now havent taken any boxing classes or anything but i dont know what it is i feel a real drive for fighting..i really like fighting for some reason and i think boxing would be good for me..do you good money at the moment? and how would i get started because i want to move at a fast pace quick and be good at it.

  • @BrutalTakeOver

Boxing takes time and a lot of dedication. Go join your gym and train hard. I joined a boxing gym when I was 24 and a half years old and I have been doing it for 9 months. Have my first amateur fight next month and I love it.

  • @bbqufc hey! im the same age as you were when you first started and i just took my first boxing class today :Dfeels sooooo good! goodluck with the fight!

  • Rocky Marciano Started at 23Years Old... Antonio Tarver Pro At 29 YEARS OLD!!! there is no age... heart n determination matter not age or weight or height...

  • @sugarfrankjr

bro but these guys had the ability they were naturaly born and learned very quickly not just everybody is born like this.

but if any chance it can happen if set mind to it.

an average fighter or person does need to start earlier.

  • its never too late to start boxing, dont let age hold u down

  • @Deztinho but if your young

you would know more and learn more

  • i started at 12 and im 17 in 2 weeks

im an extreme historian too i watch boxing more than i watch normal tv all the time

i watch what they do and replicate it

amatuer career is 8-0 7 kos and the bloke i went the distance with was state champ and ran to the point to of the crowd booing lol

  • im 14 n i satrted about 5 months ago, i started doin mma but i prefferd boxing because im not to good at graplin but im alr8 at boxin im gunna hopfully start f8in in a few years but its hard u gota train loads i play rugby 3 times a week go to gym n box3 times a week n just boxing practice 1 a week but soon im guna do it 7 days a week

  • wat kind of boxin trainin that doesnt teach how to protect ur face .... ?? hahaha if u noticed that the people in video when they're punishin the other hand anit protectin his/her chin like im hittin u , nw its ur turn hit me bk wtf

  • I'm now 17 i started like 3 years ago,

about a couple of months i have a fight. my first 1

  • im 23 and i want to box too ; )

  • u can start whenever , 13 or 30 and do whatever you put your mind to

  • @hellbombx - I agree. It really depends on the person. They can lay down the norms, but ultimately it depends on the individual, because each person is different.

  • i am 15 i will try to learn after month and i think my age is good is that right or what, REPLY TO ME !!

  • any one Reply to Me PLZ

  • im 10 and i already got me some head

  • I'm eighteen and I'm thinking of starting

  • im 16 just started yesturday lol

  • im 14 gonna start brazilian jiu-jitsu!!!

  • man what is the jiu-jitsu

  • groundwork combat
