  • picture at 0:31 is what Hood would have looked like had she received her refit.

  • You left out the last verse

  • Only 3 men survived the sinking of the HMS Hood and over 1500 perished. God rest their souls.

  • the pictures of hood on this vid are retouched from actual photos to represent hood after modernisation i think there on the hms hood web site,it looks very like renown but with 4 15" turrets not 3.the mod was to be started 1941 but canceled wen war started.

  • britain and france helped out germany after the war too. and germany woouldn't make in anotherwar because they dont have a military to fight with. my uncle was in it. they had 2 truck when he went in . in the middle over his service they strted to call back many units vehcals. they both of his trucks

  • Hey! We in Germany promise to be decent in the future, if you in return promise not to slaughter American natives again, not to drop nuclear wepaons upon undefended cities, not to poison the wells in Vietnam with Agent Orange again and stop waterboarding supected terrorists.

  • i dont think any MODERN country in this whole wide world would want any war anymore, since it costs a lot of money, and u can get things cheaper by trading. the only reason for war in iraq is becouse the oil there cannot be bought with money, so they send in soldiers to get it...

  • That's it!

    Thank you for your answer!

  • If was left up to the common citizens, no war would ever have been fought. It's the leaders and their corrupt, greedy, masters who start wars that we, the people have to fight and die in.

  • Done, as of January 20th!

The "real" America has come back, and speaking for myself, it's none too soon!

BTW-never mind about the a-bombs,,we didn't start the war, we just finished it. Yes it was a nasty thing to do, but we were fighting to win, and lets face it, it's a good thing for you that Germany surrendered when they did because Berlin was the preferred target.

  • Undefended? You mean the guns that didn't fire because it was just one plane?

  • @rembremerding A fair comment that I mostly agree with, with a slight nitpicking regarding the nukes: as much harm as the American a-bombs did, I believe that engaging the Japanese in conventional warfare would have caused greater harm for all concerned.

  • you are forgeting the french and the brits. they had the part of berlin during the berlin airleft. germany wouldnt start up again cause they dont have the military. theyre "down sizing"

  • OK, from Cologne.

It is hard to win a war against nearly the whole world. AHitler from 1933-37, appeared to be a 'Patriot'

  • nah man that is the hood

  • Him Being German doesnt meen he is a ptential terrorist. it meens he had a brain, common sence. il make it simple. HE HAS INTELIGENCE. Unlike you sad uneducted delinquents over the sea

  • veitnam had to of been the most pointless war ever. Achieved nothing what so ever. its sad

  • i'm standing behind 3 inches of bulletproof glass, do your worst

  • by the way that photo of the hood, its not the hood its the hms repulse i think

  • u kno what. i had to tabs up, typed in the wrong 1 lol

  • The song should be The germans had the most overrated warship in history the bismark, we have to send destroyer out to sink her.

  • wrong

  • so im a german even if im an american cetican

  • maybe the HMS Nelson or HMS Howe

  • We know the truth. 17 million Joos (1939 figures)with 25% being children control International Facism, Marxism, Zionism, interest rates and the world. Don't forget we poison the wells too.

  • Great song by one of my favorites of all time. Its too bad we fought on the wrong side, or got involved at all. I think Johnny would have known that too if the anti-German propaganda hadn't been so thick back in the 50's.

  • du bist bose

  • The wrong side? Are you saying we should have fought against the British and French (our two main allies from the mid-1800s on)? Got involved at all? The U.S. was involved from the mid-1930s, sending supplies to Allied AND Axis countries. The Cold War propaganda of the 1950s was a product of the war, not a reason to avoid it. Are you ignoring the lessons of history or ignorant of them? Do a little research.

  • The thing is, I have not ignored history, and have done a good bit of research. Here's where I'm coming from: both WW's were fought on behalf of marxists, internationa-lists, zionists, bolshevism, etc. Our nation took a sharp left turn early in the 20th cent. as these elements gained power. W Wilson handed over our money to them with the Fed Reserve in 1913 - cont.

  • Nazism and Hitler were just a reaction to what was done to Germany in WW1 - after taking a good look at it I can't say as I blame them. They wanted to stop the spread of bolshevism, not "take over the world" If you've only heard 1 version of history all your life, written by the conquerors, then you won't get the real story. What we did, esp. in WW2, made the world a safe haven for international communism, and they wreaked havoc and murdered at least 100 m. people.

  • your a nazi, get out of america

  • If we hadnt gotten involved neither hitler or the marxists would have had much power. They would have cancelled each other out. Non-interventionism - thats how our country used to operate. And we wouldn't have had to fight against France or Britian.

  • That's a curious series of statements. As a trained academic historian, I'm interested to hear where this abundance of "supporting" evidence has come from. Please, cite a reference—either primary or secondary—and the archive where it's located. Where have you done this "good bit of research?" I suspect that you have not consulted any primary sources and are relying on non-academic, biased histories written by authors with agendas outside of historical inquiry and the search for truth.

  • The key word here is "trained academic historian", and I'm not putting down your profession. But I believe you know who butters your bread. As we well know, history is written by the conquerors we have gotten much of our ww2 and German history from bolshevik jews. They are, after all, who that war was fought for and over 60 mil. died. I have read from a wide variety of sources, including articles from IHR and historians like David Irving a man of integrity.

  • Again you miss the point. You fail to cite a PRIMARY source (letter, govt doc, diary, etc) to support your claims and base your position on a biased individual and an organization (secondary sources) with zero credibility (who are all the "Bolshevik Jews" [names?] who've written so much WWII history, btw?). Please defend your position with EVIDENCE beyond personal religious and racial beliefs. It's a shame your beliefs are based solely on your prejudiced upbringing--not actual historical events.

  • Your statements are almost laughable, esp with you claiming prof. training in history. There is NO truly totally unbiased source in history - everything is written from somebody's POV - and everyone has some bias or other. I haven't had the freedom to travel to Europe and spend months going through boxes and files of old docs, but David Irving and others have. Its not anyone's racial beliefs. Our involvement in ww2 enabled communism to take over 1/2 the world.

  • Of course, all history is written by each person's POV, however, bias and POV are NOT the same. Bias prevents unprejudiced consideration of a question, POV is the context in which an author approaches one. You continue to make sweeping, biased statements without a shred of evidence (your last sentence above, for example). Unfettered ignorance is dangerous and hard to overcome—so unless you have something intelligent to add to this dialogue, your rants do not justify any further response.

  • I'd say I had plenty of of evidence- Hitler & Germany were about the only thing holding back the spread of communism. We destroyed them both. Result: In latter half of 20th cent. commun. took over at least 1/2 of the earth, with many tens of millions slaughtered. Are you denying that? If enough people continue in denial history will repeat itself. Cont.

  • prt 2: And I see plenty of bias in modern academia. You know who butters your bread. Tell the truth and you risk suffering the same fate as Mark Finkelstein, David Irving, and Ernst Zundel. They have all lost their careers and livelihoods, 2 have been imprisoned, and 1 has been locked up for nearly 6 years, much of it in solitary with continuous bright lights and borderline torture - all for thinking and saying the wrong things that zionist jews don't like.

  • Back in the 80's I met an old man at a ham radio swap meet. He was the radio operator on the Prinz Eugen that was with the Bismark. it was very interesting!

  • theres a version by Don Lang too

  • anyone heard the blues brothers version of this?

  • post it on this porfile

  • Yes Johnny Horton,,,also Big John

  • I think this songs by Johnny Horton the guy who did the song the battle of new orleans

  • see our original music and 20th century Fox Movie footage version of the Battle, same as this(which is still great) but modernized

    Paul & Stephen FORCE H

  • I've had a good look at the Ship shown after the Bismarck,it is the Hood, but it's the artist's impression of what she would have looked like had she been re-built in '39 when scheduled.what stopped her re-build was politics, money & time.we ran out of time

  • then you just comfirmed it-the picture you showed was how the Hood would have looked if she had been refitted as planned but war prevented the refit. Good try on the video-to bad you did not pick a picture showing what she looked like during the battle in which she was lost in.

  • you all are wrong. i was the one to makethe vieo. the pics came from the same site with the HMS Hood titled under the both pics. they both are the hood based on the site i got it from!

  • there was a destroyer with the hood when it sank.

or your looking at the bismark?

  • no there wasn't, but there was a battleship and two heavy cruisers.

  • @svaran U are wrong,

Prince of Wales (Battleship) Hood (Battlecruiser) Prinz Eugen (Heavy Cruiser bismarck (Battleship)

  • that 2nd battleship ain't the hood,

  • Looks like HMS Renown.

  • that isn't the Renown, Repulse nor the Hood, the Renown and Repluse had only 6x15s. It isn't the Vanguard either -I think it is a ship that did not exsist or it is the Hood after a planned reconstruction that did not take place.
