  • Hi, Great video. I live in Colorado and was thinking about using skis on my PPC. Does the snow do anything to your prop? Thanks

  • Yes the snow kicking through your prop definitely takes a toll. Of course in these videos my prop is IN the snow. If you keep your prop OUT of the snow you do much better:).

  • Thanks for the info, I am hoping to go flying once it warms up a bit. It's now -18C.

  • Brrrrr

  • do you make any changes to your engine for winter flying? Richen up the mixure? Thanks.

  • Not really, sometimes a very minor change to the high end but just a tad. Generally once the engine is tuned it will go from sea level to 18,182 ft without adjustment. You can always fine tune it though with just a twist. The Flat Top has an access port so you can also do it in flight if you feel like it.

  • If you put skis on that trike, it would really fly. No pun intended.

  • Yes I'm going to have to try that. Just a bit too much drag pushing through deep snow. Couldn't get up to speed on launch.
