Idea's are "alive" in the same way dna information is passed on. It might not be the exact information but a modification of the original ideas like I just did right here. The objective proof of the idea is irrelevant to it's existence. Like an organism idea are "naturally selected" if we decided not to discuss Bill Hicks then the idea would have ceased to replicate and exist. That is my opinion anyways. @murray1234567891011 you know, i am fairly religious person, but i have been listening to a lot of bill hicks lately & i'm beginning to wonder if he really knew something. on rare occasions there are people in this life who understand things on a level above everyone else, & these people tend to be public figures & all tend to die before their time. he is such an intelligent person that he really makes you think that he knew something that we'll all know someday, he just knew it before us.

it's mainly financially motivated, Canabis has alot of uses other than smoking and getting stoned, and the legalisation of Hemp farming would put alot of other industries out of business, and the governments would have a hard time taxing Weed like they do Alcohol and Tobacco... they don't care how much it hurts people is it either makes money for them or saves them spending money... health comes second for most governments I think =(

evolution works slowly, we can clearly see evolution with the help of archeology.
In 10000 years our ancestors have not changed much at all, you wouldn't notice the difference between a 10k year old person and a current person. To not believe in evolution because you can't see it happen is like not believing the hour hand a clock moves because you can't see it happen. Evolution works in a form of trial and error and it branches off like a tree, it's not like a long chain and pure chance.

Absolute bullshit. Come and work in and around the court system in North-West Western Australia, where cannabis addiction and misuse are rife, and you'll see the effects that the drug has. It's far from "only good", as you so dishonestly posit. It can be a highly pernicious drug, and ruins a lot of lives. I see it every day.

@girlphriend I'm not quite sure what the argument has been, but the whole idea is that a society degrades if mind altering drug use is widespread. Coffee is niether mind altering nor mood altering. Cig either, some clam they are, but not really in the true definition. And ofcourse not when compared to alcohol and illegal drugs.
