This band is so fucking amazing!!! They are a hell of a lot better than the crap you hear nowadays. I don't know what it is, but it's definitely that blues sounding influence that Jack and Meg add brilliantly to this band. :)
ever think this song is about their relationship? when he goes over to the drums its like he's singing to her. smeh probably just me being overly sentimental :-)
@kenlor71 Try this, They were married, then got divorced to focus on their music more, and just refer each other to Brother and sister. They are not blood related.
@friestadnccc she plays simple thats exactly what they wan't shes been a drummer for 13 years i'm sure she is realy good but it would not suit the white stripes
Wow. I don't buy it for a second when he says that whenever he sings before the drum set he's not singing to Meg. Liar :-) he is, and even the blind can see he's putting all his heart in it.
Sweat drippin, lip licking....yeah this is a GREAT one! Love me some Jack White. I love how the tune gets heavy at the "I thought this was just today...." and then gets slower. Love this version!! Still like the slow one also though. Just a nice variation. Jack, you're my hero.
Studies show that 92% of kids prefer pop music to rock. If you're one of the 8% that still loves to rock, copy and paste this to pure rock videos. KEEP THE SPIRIT OF ROCK ALIVE!
jack rarely plays a song the same way twice... any time you see a white stripes song live its slightly different... sometimes he even has songs that he switches from guitar to organ depending on his mood...
@boltonlad18 who is the one you're talking to? the author of a stupid comment, or to the white stripes? if you said that to a stupid comment, i will give you thumbs up, but if it adressed to the this awesome band, i will give you hell!!!
that was the first thing i asked myself when i heard the white stripes the first time: "that sux without bass" since 2 years i listen to them and know i know better.
this song is prob jack at his peak of writing lyrics. all of WBC is great, but that album i think he peaked at lyric writting. not putting down say, forever for her or, effect and cause, or the air near my fingers for that matter. the words just sound REAL. this song is him at his best
idk how she can stand it. D=

jonathansfrets 3 years ago
I agree. White Blood Cells ruled.
But every album they had made sense in every direction they went. EX: How their first album was raw, and their newest album is celtic.
Love it how they're not afraid to take different routes. Good stuff man.
By the way, this is my favorite White Stripes song hehe :D.
