  • Even though it is Bach, I love hearing this on an Skinner compared one of those neo-Baroque trackers. This organ has some meat in it, those others sound too thin and plays it Bach every bit as clean as those trackers.

  • InspiraTion. Where-what is this organ ?

  • Nice inspirarion and detailing !

  • I played Toccata And Fugue on the organ at the Lady of Fatima Church. I play it like that!

  • THERE IS NOT A bOTTON FOR FAVORITESISIISISISM

    SCREW YOUTUBE XD ¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • OMG, how long have you studied before you can play this?? i sounds so cool.. especially the great space and the beatiful organ. the camera is a little annoying though, the next time you need professional audio recording. . .

  • Well, if I could play that well, I'd wear anything I wanted to wear! It's good to know that the beautiful Aeolian-Skinner installation at The Independence Auditorium is still resonating beautifully! I would have enjoyed seeing a little of the interior and pipe display during the performance. Congratulations on the performance!

  • Wow....now THATS what I call multitasking

  • You have a wonderful toy there!!! GREAT rendition.

  • i would love to freak someone out by sitting with a hood on and playing when they walked in to the room

  • EEK SOME CRAZY SHIT RIGHT THEIR I WILLL NEVER BEABLE TO DO THAT!

  • Is this a Aeolian Skinner?

  • very well done =) one comment i have is that it wasnt too fast which i loved. some people play it waaaay too fast. i play it around the same timing you do. very good bravo

  • T.T beautifull.....i wish i could play a pipe organ just ONE time, one day of my life...........it's one of my wishes since i was a kid

  • Your talent and passion was very obvious, despite the poor camera and audio recording.

A wonderful interpretation and performance - thank you.

  • @RiderVirago in my opinion,the audio wans't bad ^^U,just opinions

  • Love it so much I listened all the way through, well done.

  • I think its great. Love the song. Keep up the great work and s*%$w the haters.

  • Not bad, not bad at all. A few mistakes but great interpretation Actually wow! I wish I come see you play in person. It would be a privilege!

  • i think this is one of the only instruments that you can say needs all four limbs to play it lol

  • you changing rhythm all the time!!!!

  • Now I see quite a growth of players of this song nowadays... So this song is basiclly not that hard for organ/piano players. It is still kinda HARD though...

  • How did the freaking cameraman work!? God bad quality sound because of the crappy cameraman! Next time try a more advanced camera with no effect of the quality of sound. :)

  • Chewing on cameras isn't healthy. And it's hard on the camera, also. Stop doing it.

  • @recoveringcultmember XXXXXXDDD

  • man... this is like my 2nd fav performance of this piece :D like others mentioned with a bit of polish it would be a hard contender for my fav which was performed by Stefan Johannes Bleicher

  • very nice playing and very nice registration!

  • Dude your fucking amazing! <3:L

  • staccato in left hand to compensate for acoustics, at least, while the fugue theme, when it appears in the upper registers, is interpreted more for its melodic weight. this guy gets it right!

  • this guy knows how to use rubato and phrasing for dynamic tension, as Bach himself had to have done. Bach was not a metronome!

  • no offense or anything, but you could use a metronome. stellar playing otherwise though!

  • I only can say one thing: Fantastic !!!

  • I love it! beatiful!!!! I'm working it on my piano it's not as majestic but it's great!!!

  • Awesome!!!

  • Very good ! You really master this piece. The camera could show your face a little bit.

  • very well done

  • chills up the spine, I experience listening to this. Orgasm acheived, thank you.

  • I used to play this growing up on a piano by ear. As I got older, I moved into a ghetto neighborhood where robbery and burglary was the norm, so I gave up; knowing my instrument would be stolen. Sad, like the music depicted. This music is very well timed and beautifull, not rushed, and I am having orgasm now because this is what I love.

  • even harder to play on guitar had to move to my seven string to get it to sound right on a six it doesn't sound as well in my opinion.

  • Amazing! When i first started watching i didn't read the description, but once the camera panned up to the pipes i was like woah woah wait, THAT Auditorium!? THAT organ!? I knew the console looked familiar - I watched it played at Chrisman's graduation just last month, not more than a couple weeks ago :) Very nice sound to it, too bad the quality doesn't come through the camera..

  • isnit hard to play the pedals while playing the keys? also can you play Pasacaglia and Fugue in C Minor

  • your lucky that you have electronic keys because old pipe organs are a BITCH to play this on :L good job :)

  • this is amazing, truly beautiful. by far my favorite classical composition

  • well done!! generally very nice but i hear some mistakes

  • ,thats to fast played not perfect,!!!

    very good;) nice organ!!

  • very nice how long did you learn this beautiful play? exelent sorry for mistake

    :D

  • yeah its the Fugue im having problems with on your video at 2.33 to 2.38 all that section my fingers cant get though it do you have any tips thanks very much :)

  • ahh i love this song ive about 2minuits 33 seconds of this song but ive hit a stump can you give me any advice for 2.33 to 2.38 this part is extreamly weird for my firngers anyhow AMAZING proformance you should do concerts (if you dont do them already) good job i liked it very much 5/5 =]

  • Use your thumb and little finger. that is what i do. and then when the second part comes in just go with it use your thumb and whatever you feel comfortable with, do it slowly to start with and ull get there.

    keep trying :)

  • brilliant

  • @MrBEB123

Sorry, I guess I missed the memo that I needed to put on a tux every time I go to practice...

  • @smithjord Hahhahaha love it lolol

  • @smithjord i get wat he means. would still be little cooler if youde wear clothes more suitable for this ;)

  • @MrBEB123

I think it's a sign of the times that you don't speak "good" English.

  • @MrBEB123 I am sure you can play?? where is your video?

  • Amazing playing. The camera person really needs to learn how to keep still though. Good job nonetheless!

  • omg i love it, my favorite classical piece...plus i love the shoes

  • flipping amzing im very impressed bach would be very proud of u u are greatness in the making

  • FLipping Amazing performance 5 stars!!

  • I would have watched more than 56 seconds but the camera work was making me ill....like it was having a epileptic fit or something...maybe you should learn to use the camera BEFORE you try filming a really good organist!!!...and especially BEFORE the organist goes to all the trouble of learning how to play such a magnificent piece of composition...."unforgivable", might have been a better choice of music!

  • This Piece, it just sounds SO complex even though its "just" one person playing, its like there ought to be at least four hands playing this. Really nice played i liked it and am gonna subscripe yoy :)

  • Great:] haha I love that sound:)

  • 5/5 good job

  • nice! =D

  • Ok, first of all: AWESOME! You'r really, REALLY good (really) :) Mighty and perfectly played. Second of all's a few questions:

Is it hard to learn to play the organ (I've wanted to learn for a while now)? And where do one learn to play it? It's not like everyone has an organ in the basement ;)

And I asume it's a big plus if you've already learned to play the piano and can do so quite well?

  • i can play this part: 2:35-3:18 . But i want to continue

  • @atyy123 can you show me how to play that part ( video tutorial) and ill show you howto play most of the song.

  • @AV3BMX1 You will make a video tutorial to?

  • @atyy123 yae

  • verry good except the camera but who cares.

  • impresionante...

  • Very well played, just a shame the camera work is rubbish and the sound quality is ruined by camera noise.

Play this again with a professional audio recording and I'll buy it!

  • Me too!

  • Meine Lieblingsstelle ist ab 2:35 bis ca. 3:00...hört sich nach Erlösung und wohligem Neuanfang an... ; )

  • Comment removed

  • my fav part is at 1:54, sounds so cool!

  • Outstanding...!!

  • The beginning of Fugue... damn

  • You make it look so easy... Amazing! fantastic job. My jaw dropped when i saw the huge pipes.

  • 2:18 ;)

  • I know! You are the first one to comment about that and I've been waiting for somebody to...lol.

  • good for you anyway, i wish i could play like this

  • This is the most amazing video I ever saw! Kudos to you! I always wanted to learn how to play a pipe organ. Beautiful timing, amazing play!

  • very well done and i see you have the right shoes and not bare foot lol . great job

  • 15,000th view.

    Amazing song.

  • Yeah.... I scared me.... It's brilliant.... I've been playing the piano for 10 years (and I'm still playing now) and I can say that its amazing. I wish smomeday I'd be able to play this great piece, but... I think u need to learn Pipe organ before isn't it? So.-.. congragulations for the vid. I'm astonished with uye tecinque with ur fingers and legs.

  • There is a version for in on the paino-but it's not as awsome as the organ version.

    Good luck anyhow ;}

  • The best video i have ever seen to do with pipe organs.

  • brilliant

  • 2:34 - 4:52 sounds all happy instead of scary!! LOL!!

  • Wonderful organ!

  • Anyone... ANYONE that can play thisand/or "Flight of the Bumblebee" as well as you played this get my kudos. Now, need a better cameraperson, and less 'click' sounds from them, and take the praise, get a face shot in there! Well done.

  • Muy bueno, lastima la cámara...

Very good,a pity the camera ...

  • It's not easy, I know but it will be enough several months to learn it (sorry for my English, I'm Polish :) )

  • Its a disgrace to have an amateurish cameraman spoil one of the most great pieces of music ever created!! More respect!! Get someone who can do a half decent camera shoot!!

  • Yes the camera is very jerky, I'll be sure to have a tripod next time.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • Well maybe I am a little bit strict but yes I would like the beginning a with a bit more of silence between the notes.

Just forget it because I am not able to describe it, maybe I can upload a video but that'll be later.

Sorry for the comment because I'm not really a good musician.

  • it might be a bit fast for some..... I still like it! Enjoy your playing

  • The jerky camera and the noises from the cameraman detracted from one of the best performances of this masterpiece on YouTube. I hope one day you can refilm it, and this time tell the cameraman to get a tripod! :)

  • wow :) i playing organ too, I'm 13 years old ^^

  • How did you get an organ?

Anyway, I think the toccata was at perfect speed, yet the Fugue seemed a bit shaky and slow... A lot of fluctuations in the timing...

I know a twelve year old who can play this super well too...

  • I'd like to hear that Organ in this Room recorded with a proper Mic ;)

It sounds good but about 75% of the beauty are lost because of a bad microphone...

  • Well played - and a NICE sounding organ :)!

  • well done.

  • muy bueno sos un groso...

esta bravo tocar un organod e tubos..ja

    ..exelent..

  • This has to be one of the best performances of toccata and fugue on youtube! You make this look effortless, I only wish I could play this as good as you do- and on an organ with as much reverb as this!

  • Thanks! This organ is alot of fun to play, and the room is fantastic!

  • The organ does not have the reverb. The room does. And this was done well. Very well. But not great.

  • True, but the organ is in the room with the reverb, so it is perfectly understandable to say that the organ has reverb, due to the fact that it is installed in a room with reverb. I'd like to see you play it greatly!

  • A referance to your keys and cellphone near the organ:

    "Yeah went to church from work, played what might be the must beautiful musical masterpiece of man, and got home in time to watch the ball game and drink a few beers" lol ;}

    But seriuosly, that was beautiful :}

  • that just makes me want to learn how to play a piano god that was good

  • Its an organ by the way.

  • i got goose bumps watching this

  • i have to agree...awesome TURN IT UP

  • Awesome!!!! That organ was so awesome, but not as awesome as you!!!!!!

  • holy fucin' shit...this guy is ...good :D (Y)

  • That was great! I do agree, the registration you chose could've been better, but other than that, I give it 5 stars! =]

  • Good job but you should have chozen a better registration...

  • Awesome! You are very good in playing these Fugue;)

  • Love your registration and THAT ORGAN IS MONSTROUS.

  • That was awesome dude!

  • Bravissimo! Molto bella! And other Italian praises! The rough camera work didn't do much to detract from my appreciation of your playing. You put a giant smile on my face. I only wish I could hear it in person! Really fantastic! Thank you!

  • precioso me encanta como tocas esta obra de J.S.Bach, es magnifico

  • fast

  • yeh, camera guy definitely ruined this video by having parkinson's. but good playing otherwise. i'm sorry i couldn't watch the whole thing...those clicks from the camera are really annoying.

  • O.O ade re ena paro poli oreh... lol brava brava brava!!!! ene paro poli orea!!!! bravo!

  • One of the best performances I've heard and on a great sounding organ. As others have said, the Toccata seemed a little rushed. Of course, I play it slower because I can't play it faster. Having said that, a toccata is written to be a virtuoso piece of music; slowing it down would sort of defeat the purpose. As to the "few small mistakes" to which sovereign254 refers, just think of them as accidental improvisations; that's what I do. Beautiful job!

  • LOVE your interpretation!

  • I love this piece and think you really did it justice ... however, on a personal preference, I think you should take a little more time over the toccata

  • I agree completely, this is an excellent video. I usually take the toccata slower than you did, but overall, very good. Love the organ! Nice reverb too!

  • Good playing but...

To the person taking the video:

Get a bloody tripod and a mike stand!

    Annoying clicks spoil it!

Point the mike at the organ pipes not the keyboard wher you hear all the keys and you fumbling!

  • agreed

  • wonderfull...

  • How do you get to play these huge instruments? I wanna learn how to play the organ =].

  • Quite good, a few small mistakes, but overall a good performance.
