Anyone got any footage of him making a real tackle against solid competition? I don't mean how he got used by Golden Tate. I mean a solid decent hit vs. a top tier back or TE, where he actually wrapped them up. Remember, the NFL isn't USC. You try to line up Adrian Peterson for a big hit without wrapping or solid technique and you're on the wrong end of a highlight reel.

but he might fumble... :P I'm sure Mays can wrap up and tackle. Is the the best at it, probably not but it's not that hard and he's a good football player. End of the 1st early 2nd is where he should go. The pro game is harder like you said but he'll have a year or two to fix his mistake and perfect his game. sometimes you still need that hard hitting potential and he surely has it.

Wrapping up is still something that can be learned and I think the 49ers got a steal in the 2nd round with Mays. You cant teach 6-3 220 pounds and runs a 4.24 (if that video at the combine really is real.) Chris Johnson wasnt the best back out college but the Titans reached on him in the first because he was the fastest RB in the draft. Granted, the Raiders have drafted like that for years and have failed so we will see how Mays plays out.

@zeykshade im a huge t-mays fan and i cant diss him but what you said is a huge factor in his game. i think he will start to mold more into a nfl player. hes a freak of nature when it comes to his physical side and athletisism (probz spelt that wrong :p) it might take him a couple of years to get it but im sure he will get into the mix. like look a reggie bush. he was lookin like he was gonna be a draft bust but then he started running more vertically instead of left and right.
