  • Merridew FTW

  • Awww i love the movie :) <3

  • SUCKS TO YOUR ASS-MAR!haha ;) ............cheerio cheerio ohohohhhh

  • fake and gay

  • Too bad none of the boys that are alive today have any pictures of what they look like today. They had a reunion 8 years ago i think now theyre mostly all in the 60's/70's.

  • sam n eric are adorable!! ^^ all of them are

  • does anybody else thinks it sounds like the choir is saying 'we're gay'?

  • @gipytoiii They were singing "Kyrie Kyrie Kyrie Eleison" Which is Greek for "Lord have mercy". Sounds gay to you? Well whether it does or not, Isn't it funny how in this movie, the choir boys went from being religious sissies to dangerous savages. Without a gun, I don't think you'd want to deal with them.

  • @unhooked25 haha ok.I think I could deal with a bunch of little kids

  • @gipytoiii I wouldn't bet my bottom coin on that, I mean if there is only one of you and nine of them with sharp sticks surounding you.

  • I feel bad for piggie

  • Is it me or is Henry looking at the camera? :P

  • "Sucks to your Ass-Mar!'' ahahahha this is wat i thought i heard the choir singing,'' heereeyay heereeyay heeree heeree heereeyay smell my sock!'' lol thts wat i thought i heard

  • worst editing everrrr hahaha yay 60's

  • the choir sort of reminds me of harry potter films

  • Anyone know if the Simon-and-the-pig-head conversation is in this version?

  • @jibberjabberwock im pretty sure it isnt in this version. i saw it and all he did was look at it for 10 seconds.

  • @jibberjabberwock No I dont think they talked at all =|

  • its a shame that james aubrey, the one who played Ralph in this 1963 film, died of cancer very recently. RIP.

  • the choir is so wierd how they are just singing

  • Ralph is cooler than Jack

  • Yeah, I can't differ the boys from each other either... But this clip really makes me wanna see the movie, may even buy it since I'm a fan of the book. And I suggest ya'll read the wikipedia page for the book and the movies, it's quite a read.

  • i liked roger in the book :P

he is so freakishly evil for somebody so young i totally picture him growing up to be the bad guy of a comic book

  • The fact that there's lots of boys stuck together on an island amuzes me. I love Jack the most even though he's evil.(He's so attractive) Then Ralph. Then the cutie simon.

  • :D piggy will only respond when someone is holding his conch !

  • holding the 'conch' gives Ralph power over other men

  • PIGGIE IS AWESOME

  • 'he used to blow it and his mum would come'

quite a lot of innuendos in lord of the flies

  • "ENRAY!"

    lol i love that

  • CHOIR HALT!

  • sucks to your ass mar.

  • Ralph has such an adorable little laugh.

  • the kerianne song woop

  • dont say such things torben.

  • LOL, i love itttt! :'D

  • the choir song is so adorable. :)

  • i have never read the book and tried watching the 90s one but turned it off, it sucked balls. Think i will try this one instead

  • Comment removed

  • I'm SO sorry, I meant to say that to someone else! How embarassing...

  • Jack has a powerful voice for someone so young

  • I read the book sophomore year!

  • Aww! The choir boys' little neck pieces (the ruffles) are so cute! It's hilarious.XD

  • oh man, the choir's song is so addicting! After you watch it, it just gets stuck in your mind, even if you can't understand it... ^^

Aw, poor Simon fainting... he's my favorite character! I had to laugh a little though, because it's just so cute..=D

    I'm weird, aren't I? LOL

  • You're not weird!

Simon's my favorite character too. He's just so adorable!:P I just want to reach out and hug him.^^

The choir song is addicting! I find myself humming it all the time now when I think no one's listening.XD

  • We had to some journal entries over this book, and I put in one of them that Simon had moved to the top of my "Lord of the Flies" meter. (which is sorta like a character popularity list in my terms)

I know! Simon needs huggles! Especially with what happens to him later. -_-

I have the choir march on my iPod now... heh heh. And I also made a video on here with it. I'm obbsesses! ^^

  • they are playing this version on IFC. I just watched it again.

  • no offense to anybody but i like this version much better than the one in 90' ...and by the way does anybody know where i could find the hole version of this ?? ^_^

  • which version is better?

  • definitely this version is better.

    :-)

  • this vesion is much more related to the book. i say this version

  • 100% agreed.

    They're the exact lines even!

The characters seem so much more real in this adaption.

  • i read the book at the beginning of the school year, in september....and i'm JUST figuring out that there is a movie! i'm so mad haha

  • i think i like the 1990 one more than this, but this one is pretty good as well

  • I'm watching this version in class. I love this version! I think The kids who play ralph, piggy, simon, jack etc fit the parts very well

  • I really want to see this movie, is there anyone who know where I can buy it?!

  • KWIAR! HALT!

  • I would absolutly LOVE a remake of this move, possibly directed by Peter Jackson. One that is true to the book, unlike that 1990 one.

  • i wnat it directed by quinten tarantino

  • LOL!! =D

  • we watched this in my class! it took up 2 class periods hahaha. i hated the book soo much but our class split up into 2 tribes and did little challenges while "reading the book" so it was soo much fun :D

oh, and samneric are ADORABLEEEEE!! i've never seen boys cuter than them ^_^

  • its so weird to think that all these kids are in their 50s and 60s now..

  • James Aubrey ("Ralph") was born in 1947, so that makes him 15 or 16 when he made this film. I can't believe how young he looks!

  • FOR SERIOUSLY? HE WAS IN HIS TEENS?!

  • Yes, kusha- I couldn't believe it myself. He was too young to see the finished film- it was considered too violent for teenagers- isn't that weird? Perhaps his youthful looks were due to delayed puberty?

  • I've never been called kusha before... Well, kids were more innocent back then. But yeah, he should've been an acception. I don't know, I guess. lol

  • He was actually 13/14 (had his birthday mid-filming), which is more believable.

  • Oh... (is a little bummed) Yeah, that is a lot more believable XD

  • I hope we watch this version in class. <3 It's just so much better and way more accurate. I don't like many English books but this on was GOOD. <3

  • Sucks to your ass-mar!

  • the only thing that i actually liked about this movie is the music. can somebody give me the name of the song that jack's choir is singing? this movie skipped all of my favorite scenes and quotes from the book

  • It's a latin song often sung in catholic church during celebrations like Easter. Not sure if it's still sun often nowadays. I think it's Kyrie Eleison, but that's only a guess. The song doesn't appear to consist of much more than that, at least.

  • I like that song, put it on my ipod, but what about the one that goes somthing like "turlei"?

  • kyrie elieson. (pronounced keer e a e lays on

  • its kyrie eleison

  • I'm in Y11 and our teacher said that the 90s version is rubbish so we didnt waste our time watching that. I want to see this version though, it looks like it sticks to the original more.

  • I've seen tads of the 90's version, its all Americans, from a military academy that come in on a raft, its bloody awful.

  • He was 100% correct. The old story: when the US remake a foreign film they usually ruin it because they make what they THINK the US movie-going-public want to see and they are usually way off.

The 63 version was very close to the book and a masterpiece.

  • This was the version that i saw.

i saw a bit of the remake.

    it was good.

i liked the movie but at the same time i hated it.

just because it had this dark feeling to it.

  • I agree...despite the bad acting, this film is so much more to the story than the 1990s one, which is utterly disasterous!

  • Piggy's acting is so bad, it's good. WTF?

  • it's because he's supposed to be an awkward little kid; either very little skill or a LOT of skill is needed to play the part

  • Ya, I think he's mildly retarded. lol.

  • I like the actor who plays jack though

  • Good question for you: Would teachers bring in the new version in class and they never even heard of the 1963 version?

  • They have brought the new version in, and the old one.I know because im in year 10 studying the book and the two films, old and new.

  • in my school the teacher would only play this one, because it was closer to the book then the other one made in 1990

  • Ass-mar!

    Gotta love Piggy.

  • lol, they are all cute. Great book.

  • Wow! A clip with the original sound track from "Lord of the Flies" and no annoying dubbed in music! How novel for once!

  • Ass-mar. Question, I'm doing a visual essay on LOTF and I'd love to have some clips from the original film. Where might I find some??

  • most of them all have blond hair... haha

  • ass-mar!! LOL

  • "Sucks to your ass-mar!" lol

  • The original and the best!

  • I adore this film, I think it's a work of art but I can't help but laugh at the choir when they say their names, the massive gaps between them and the way "'Enry" seems very forceful and "Maurice" just doesn't seem bothered at all. :)

  • Lol!!! I thought the gaps were hilarious too!!!

  • this is much better than the new one

  • agree

  • This version is MUCH better. The new version is horrible!

  • I can't be the only one who found the line "He used to blow it and his mum would come" mildly innapropriate xD

Love this movie and the book

  • Baal Zebub - The Lord of the Flies.

It´s the devil himself, destroying these children´s minds.

  • when jack said "then we will have to look after ourselfs" he sounded alot like draco malfoy from harry potter

  • When we watched this in class we were all stunned into silence when Piggy started talking about Camberley. We were all like "OMG, THAT'S WHERE WE LIVE!". We we really freaked out. And everyone wolf-whistled when Piggy said the thing about how "he used to blow and then his mum would come" cause we're immature XD I love the way Percival says "Telephone". Makes me laugh =D

  • Percival was always my favourite. I am very glad that he's not "so ugly his mother has trouble loving him"...

  • Aw that Simon kid is awesome (:

  • he is (:

    he's my favorite. <3

  • i love that cury song

  • more similar to the book

  • i love the choirs song omggg!!

    im obessed witrh it!

    where can i downland it??!!!

  • we used to sing that in church ever now and then!^^

  • "Sucks to your ass-mar!"

LOL. My class's favorite line. We had so much fun watching this movie, I wanna watch it again.

  • Ralph is a hottie

  • i totally agree megstar819.

    hahaha.

  • I agree too. X3

  • ohh yeahh (:

    haaahhaaa.

  • @megstar819 More like a cutie. I think Jacks the hot one.

  • Hah. Ralph's completely undressed and Piggy's just gotten his jacket off. XD

  • i remember watching this last year in english and some guy in my class thought the choir looked like voldemort's death eaters or something like that lol

anyway, considering it was like 1963 this film was made, it's pretty good :) and so's the book :)

  • LMAO! that voldemort death eaters thing

made me laugh so freakin' hard! :D

  • This was a great little film. The best and truest version of the book.

  • KIRIA LEYSON

ouch jack's pretty as ralph by the way :)

    they might be handsome now

the eyes of these boys ( the choir) are so scary =S

  • I think Jack's even more good looking than Ralph, and he's taller too! :D

  • Roger looks like a fucking monkey,he should have died

  • my class and i laughed so hard when we saw the choir come in because they all look like they're in a colt! roflmao!

  • love it!!<3 great video, so cute

  • my favorite part of the whole movie was the song. i was singing it all day long. My teacher said it was Latin or something

  • It's Kyrie Elison

  • love the choir song, i thought they were singing 'cheerio'

  • My choir sing the same song, just with a different melody

  • Dude, gimme the title and artist of the song please lol...

  • kyrie eleison :D

  • do you have the whole movie of this? if so could you please upload it? thanks.

  • This version is sooooo much better than the newer one!

  • its more accurate, i think.

  • honestly, in the book, there is a 2 letter difference between jack and jerk... he is a tree stabber ;-;

  • beautiful! u should add all the other parts!

  • Jack is very good I think. Piggy as well. Really faithful to the book although, I can;t really see the Brook style in it...

  • aww i love this XDXD LOTF = LIFE!!!

hmm..in comparison to my DVD all of their voices are higher o.O some sort of audio glitch??

  • "sucks to your ass-mar!"

those kids are so cute. this is very faithful to the book.

  • Yes, they're adorable in their uniform. Haha.

  • I like it to be honest. Sure the acting sucks but it makes the film seem more amateur. It almost looks like something my friends and I would make. And that isn't a bad thing in my opinion.

  • i think the acting was good for the really young actors.

  • At least its better than the remake.
